Psalmet 112

1 Aleluja. Lum njeriu që ka frikë nga Zoti dhe gjen një gëzim të madh në urdhërimet e tij.

Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.

2 Pasardhësit e tij do të jenë të fuqishëm mbi tokë, brezat e njerëzve të drejtë do të jenë të bekuar.

Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].

3 Në shtëpinë e tij ka bollëk dhe pasuri dhe drejtësia e tij vazhdon përjetë.

Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.

4 Drita lind në terr për ata që janë të drejtë, për njeriun e dhemshur, të mëshirshëm dhe të drejtë.

Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.

5 Do të jetë i lumtur njeriu që ka dhemshuri dhe jep hua, dhe i drejton punët e tij me drejtësi,

Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.

6 sepse nuk do të lëvizet kurrë; i drejti do të kujtohet gjithnjë.

Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].

7 Ai nuk do t’u trëmbet lajmeve të këqia; zemra e tij është e fortë, me besim tek Zoti.

They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.

8 Zemra e tij është e sigurt; ai nuk do të ketë fare frikë, deri sa të mos shikojë triumfues mbi armiqtë e tij.

They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.

9 Ai ka shpërndarë lirisht, u ka dhënë nevojtarëve, drejtësia e tij vazhdon përjetë dhe fuqia e tij do të ngrihet në lavdi.

They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.

10 I pabesi do ta shohë dhe do të zemërohet, do të kërcëllijë dhëmbët dhe do të konsumohet; dëshira e të pabesëve nuk do të realizohet kurrë.

Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.
