Psalmet 111

1 Aleluja. Unë do të kremtoj Zotin me gjithë zemër në këshillën e të drejtëve dhe në kuvend.

Praise Yahweh! I will thank Yahweh with my entire inner being, every time I am with a large group of godly/righteous people.

2 Të mëdha janë veprat e Zotit, të kërkuara nga të gjithë ata që kënaqen me to.

The things that Yahweh has done are wonderful! All those who are delighted/pleased with those things desire to (study/think about) them.

3 Veprat e tij janë madhështore dhe drejtësia e tij vazhdon përjetë.

[Because of everything] that he does, people greatly honor him and respect him because he is a great king; the righteous/just things that he does will endure forever.

4 Ai bën që mrekullitë e tij të kujtohen; Zoti është i dhemshur dhe plot mëshirë.

He has [appointed/established festivals in which] we remember the wonderful things that he has done; Yahweh [always] is kind and merciful.

5 Ai u jep ushqime atyre që kanë frikë prej tij dhe do ta mbajë mend gjithnjë besëlidhjen e tij.

He provides food for those who revere him; he never forgets the agreement that he made [with our ancestors].

6 Ai i tregoi popullit të tij fuqinë e veprave të tij, duke i dhënë trashëgiminë e kombeve.

By enabling his people to capture the lands that belonged to other people-groups, he has shown to [us], his people, that he is very powerful.

7 Veprat e duarve të tij janë e vërteta dhe drejtësia; tërë urdhërimet e tij janë të qëndrueshme,

He [MTY] faithfully [does what he has promised] and always does what is just/fair, and we can depend on him [to help us] when he commands us to do things.

8 të patundura përjetë, për gjithnjë, të kryera me vërtetësi dhe drejtësi.

What he commands must be obeyed forever; and he acted in a true and righteous manner when he gave us those commands.

9 Ai i dërgoi popullit të tij shpëtimin, ka vendosur besëlidhjen e tij përjetë; i shenjtë dhe i tmerrshëm është emri i tij.

He rescued [us], his people, [from being slaves in Egypt], and he made an agreement [with us] that will last forever. He [MTY] is holy and awesome!

10 Frika e Zotit është zanafilla e diturisë; kanë dituri të madhe ata që zbatojnë në praktikë urdhërimet e tij; lëvdimi i tij vazhdon në përjetësi.

Revering Yahweh is the way to become wise. All those who obey [his commands] will know what is good [for them to decide to do]. We should praise him forever!
