Psalmet 10
1 O Zot, pse qëndron larg? Pse fshihesh në kohë fatkeqësish?
Yahweh, (why are you far away [from us]?/it seems that you are far away [from us].) [RHQ] Why do you not pay attention when we have troubles [RHQ]?
2 I pabesi me kryelartësinë e tij ndjek me dhunë të mjerin; ata do të kapen nga vetë kurthet që ata kanë kurdisur,
People who are proud gladly cause poor people to suffer. So [cause what they do to others to happen to them]! May they be caught in the [same] traps that they set to catch others [MET]!
3 sepse i pabesi mburret me dëshirat e shpirtit të tij, bekon grabitqarin dhe përbuz Zotin.
They brag about the [evil] things that they want to do. They praise people who seize from others things that do not belong to them, and they curse you, Yahweh.
4 I pabesi, me arrogancën e fytyrës së tij, nuk e kërkon Zotin; tërë mendimet e tij janë: “Perëndia nuk ekziston”.
Wicked people are very proud. As a result, they do not (seek help from/are not concerned about) God; they do not even think that God exists.
5 Rrugët e tij lulëzojnë në çdo kohë; gjykimet e tua për të janë shumë të larta, larg kuptimit të tyre nga ana e tij; ai përqesh gjithë armiqtë e tij.
But [it seems that] they succeed in everything that they do. They do not think that they will be condemned/punished for their deeds, and they (sneer at/make fun of) their enemies.
6 Ai thotë në zemër të tij: “Mua askush nuk më tund dot kurrë; nuk do të më ndodhë kurrë ndonjë e keqe”.
They think, “Nothing bad will happen to us! We will never have troubles!”
7 Goja e tij është plot mallkime, hile dhe mashtrime; nën gjuhën e tij ka ligësi dhe paudhësi.
When they talk [MTY], they are always cursing, lying, and threatening to harm others. They constantly say [MTY] evil things that show that they are ready to do cruel things to others.
8 Ai rri në pritë në fshatra, vret të pafajshmin në vende të fshehta; sytë e tij përgjojnë fatkeqin.
They hide in villages, ready to (ambush/suddenly attack) and kill people who (are innocent/have done nothing wrong). They constantly search for people who will not be able to (resist/defend themselves) [when they are attacked].
9 Ai rri në pritë në vende të fshehta si luani në strofkën e tij; rri në pritë për të kapur të mjerin; ai e rrëmben të mjerin duke e tërhequr në rrjetën e tij.
They are like [MET] lions that crouch down and hide, waiting to pounce on their prey. They are like hunters that catch their prey with a net and then drag it away.
10 Ai rri i strukur dhe i mbledhur, dhe fatzinjtë mposhten para forcës së tij.
Just like helpless animals are crushed, people who cannot defend themselves are killed because wicked people are very strong.
11 Ai thotë në zemër të tij: “Perëndia harron, fsheh fytyrën e tij, nuk do ta shohë kurrë”.
Wicked people say, “God will not pay any attention [to what we do]. His eyes are covered, so he never sees anything.”
12 Çohu, o Zot; o Perëndi, ngre dorën tënde; mos i harro të mjerët.
Yahweh God, arise [and help us] Punish [IDM] those wicked people! And do not forget those who are suffering!
13 Pse i pabesi përçmon Perëndinë? Ai thotë në zemër të tij: “Ti nuk do t’i kërkosh llogari”.
Wicked people revile you [RHQ] continually. They think, “God will never punish us!”
14 Por ti e ke parë, sepse ti vëren me kujdes ligësinë dhe pikëllimin, për ta larë më pas me dorën tënde; fatkeqi i ka shpresat te ti; ti je ai që ndihmon jetimin.
But you see the trouble and the distress [that they cause]. People who are suffering expect that you will help them; and you help orphans, [also].
15 Thyeja krahun të pabesit dhe të ligut; në rast se ti do të kërkosh ligësinë e tij, nuk do ta gjesh më.
(Break the arms/Destroy the power) of wicked [DOU] people! Continue to pursue and punish them for the wicked things that they do, until they stop doing those things.
16 Zoti është mbret përjetë; kombet janë zhdukur nga toka e tij.
Yahweh, you are our king forever, but [wicked] nations will disappear from the earth.
17 O Zot, ti dëgjon dëshirën e njerëzve të përulur; ti e fortëson zemrën e tyre, veshët e tu janë të vëmendshëm,
You have listened to afflicted/suffering people when they cry out to you. You hear them [when they pray], and you encourage [IDM] them.
18 për t’i dhënë të drejtë jetimit dhe të pikëlluarit, me qëllim që njeriu i krijuar nga dheu të mos kallë më tmerr.
You show that orphans and oppressed people have not done things that are wrong, with the result that human beings will not cause people to be terrified any more.
