Fjalët e urta 18
1 Kush veçohet kërkon kënaqësinë e tij dhe zemërohet kundër gjithë diturisë së vërtetë.
Desire he seeks [one who] separates himself on all sound wisdom he bursts out.
2 Budallai nuk gjen kënaqësi te maturia, por vetëm në të vënit në dukje të zemrës së tij.
Not he delights a fool in understanding that except in revealing itself heart his.
3 Kur vjen i pabesi vjen edhe përçmimi dhe bashkë me humbjen e nderit vjen turpi.
When comes a wicked [person] it comes also contempt and with shame reproach.
4 Fjalët e gojës së një njeriu janë ujëra të thella; burimi i diturisë është si një rrjedhë uji që shkon duke gurgulluar.
[are] waters Deep [the] words of [the] mouth of a person a wadi flowing a fountain of wisdom.
5 Nuk është mirë të preferosh të pabesin, apo të shkaktosh humbjen e të drejtit në gjyq.
To lift up [the] face of a wicked [person] not [is] good to turn aside a righteous [person] in judgment.
6 Buzët e budallait të çojnë në grindje, dhe goja e tij kërkon goditje.
[the] lips of A fool they go in strife and mouth his for blows it calls.
7 Goja e budallait është shkatërrimi i tij dhe buzët e tij janë një lak për jetën e tij.
[the] mouth of A fool [is] ruin of him and lips his [are] [the] snare of life his.
8 Fjalët e shpifësit janë si një gjellë shumë e shijshme që zbret thellë në zorrë.
[the] words of A slanderer [are] like delicacies and they they go down [the] chambers of [the] belly.
9 Edhe ai që është përtac në punën e tij është vëlla i planprishësit.
Also [one who] shows himself idle in work his [is] a brother he of a master of destruction.
10 Emri i Zotit është një kala e fortë, tek ai turret i drejti dhe gjen siguri.
[is] a tower of Strength [the] name of Yahweh in it he runs a righteous [person] and he is set on high.
11 Pasuria e kamësit është qyteti i tij i fortë dhe simbas mendimit të tij ajo është si një mur i lartë.
[the] wealth of A rich [person] [is] [the] town of strength his and like a wall high in own imagination his.
12 Përpara shkatërrimit, zemra e njeriut ngrihet, por para lavdisë vjen përulësia.
Before destruction it is haughty [the] heart of a person and [is] before honor humility.
13 Kush jep përgjigje për një çështje para se ta ketë dëgjuar, tregon marrëzinë e tij për turp të vet.
[one who] brings back A word before he listens [is] folly it of him and ignominy.
14 Fryma e njeriut i jep krahë në sëmundjen e tij, por kush mund ta ngrerë një frymë të demoralizuar?
[the] spirit of A person it will endure sickness his and a spirit stricken who? will he bear it.
15 Zemra e njeriut të matur fiton dituri, edhe veshi i të urtëve kërkon diturinë.
A heart discerning it acquires knowledge and [the] ear of wise [people] it seeks knowledge.
16 Dhurata e njeriut i hap rrugën dhe e çon në prani të të mëdhenjve.
[the] gift of A person it makes space for him and before great [people] it leads him.
17 I pari që mbron çështjen e vet duket sikur ka të drejtë; por pastaj vjen tjetri dhe e shqyrton.
[is] righteous The first in case his (and he will come *QK) neighbor his and he will examine him.
18 Fati u jep fund grindjeve dhe i ndan të fuqishmit.
Contentions it puts an end to the lot and between mighty [people] it separates.
19 Një vëlla i fyer është si një qytet i fortë; dhe grindjet janë si shulat e një kalaje.
A brother transgressed [is] more than a town of strength (and contentions *QK) [are] like [the] bar of a fortress.
20 Njeriu e ngop barkun me frytin e gojës së tij, ai ngopet me prodhimin e buzëve të tij.
From [the] fruit of [the] mouth of a person it is satisfied belly his [the] produce of lips his he is satisfied.
21 Vdekja dhe jeta janë nën pushtetin e gjuhës; ata që e duan do të hanë frytet e saj.
Death and life [are] in [the] hand of [the] tongue and [those who] love it he will eat fruit its.
22 Kush ka gjetur grua ka gjetur një gjë të mirë dhe ka siguruar një favor nga Zoti.
He finds a wife he finds a good thing and he obtained pleasure from Yahweh.
23 I varfëri flet duke u lutur, kurse i pasuri përgjigjet me ashpërsi.
Supplications he speaks a poor [person] and a rich [person] he answers strong [words].
24 Njeriu që ka shumë miq duhet gjithashtu të tregohet mik, por është një mik që është më i lidhur se një vëlla.
A person of companions [is] to be broken and there [is one who] loves cleaving more than a brother.
