Fjalët e urta 13

1 Një bir i urtë dëgjon mësimet e atit të vet, por tallësi nuk e dëgjon qortimin.

A wijs sone is the teching of the fadir; but he that is a scornere, herith not, whanne he is repreuyd.

2 Nga fryti i gojës së tij njeriu do të hajë atë që është e mirë, por shpirti i të pabesëve do të ushqehet me dhunë.

A man schal be fillid with goodis of the fruit of his mouth; but the soule of vnpitouse men is wickid.

3 Kush kontrollon gojën e tij mbron jetën e vet, por ai që i hap shumë buzët e tij shkon drejt shkatërrimit.

He that kepith his mouth, kepith his soule; but he that is vnwar to speke, schal feel yuels.

4 Shpirti i përtacit dëshiron dhe nuk ka asgjë, por shpirti i atyre që janë të kujdesshëm do të kënaqet plotësisht.

A slow man wole, and wole not; but the soule of hem that worchen schal be maad fat.

5 I drejti e urren gënjeshtrën, por i pabesi është i neveritshëm dhe do të turpërohet.

A iust man schal wlate a fals word; but a wickid man schendith, and schal be schent.

6 Drejtësia ruan atë që ndjek një rrugë të ndershme, por pabesia e rrëzon mëkatarin.

Riytfulnesse kepith the weie of an innocent man; but wickidnesse disseyueth a synnere.

7 Ka nga ata që sillen si një i pasur, por nuk kanë asgjë; përkundrazi ka nga ata që sillen si një i varfër, por kanë shumë pasuri.

A man is as riche, whanne he hath no thing; and a man is as pore, whanne he is in many richessis.

8 Pasuritë e një njeriu shërbejnë për të shpërblyer jetën e tij, por i varfëri nuk ndjen asnjë kërcënim.

Redempcioun of the soule of man is hise richessis; but he that is pore, suffrith not blamyng.

9 Drita e të drejtëve shkëlqen bukur, por llamba e të pabesëve do të shuhet.

The liyt of iust men makith glad; but the lanterne of wickid men schal be quenchid.

10 Nga krenaria rrjedhin vetëm grindjet, por dituria është me ata që u kushtojnë kujdes këshillave.

Stryues ben euere a mong proude men; but thei that don alle thingis with counsel, ben gouerned bi wisdom.

11 Pasuria e përftuar në mënyrë jo të ndershme do të katandiset në pak gjëra, por atij që e grumbullon me mund do t’i shtohet ajo.

Hastid catel schal be maad lesse; but that that is gaderid litil and litil with hond, schal be multiplied.

12 Pritja e zgjatur e ligështon zemrën, por dëshira e plotësuar është një dru i jetës.

Hope which is dilaied, turmentith the soule; a tre of lijf is desir comyng.

13 Ai që përçmon fjalën do të shkatërrohet, por ai që respekton urdhërimin do të shpërblehet.

He that bacbitith ony thing, byndith hym silf in to tyme to comynge; but he that dredith the comaundement, schal lyue in pees.

14 Mësimet e të urtit janë burim jete për t’i evituar dikujt leqet e vdekjes.

The lawe of a wise man is a welle of lijf; that he bowe awei fro the falling of deth.

15 Gjykimi i mirë siguron favor, por veprimi i të pabesëve është i dëmshëm.

Good teching schal yyue grace; a swolowe is in the weie of dispiseris.

16 Çdo njeri i matur vepron me dituri, por budallai kapardiset me marrëzinë e tij.

A fel man doith alle thingis with counsel; but he that is a fool, schal opene foli.

17 Lajmëtari i keq bie në telashe, por lajmëtari besnik sjell shërim.

The messanger of a wickid man schal falle in to yuel; a feithful messanger is helthe.

18 Mjerimi dhe turpi do të vjinë mbi atë që nuk pranon korrigjimin, por ai që dëgjon qortimin do të nderohet.

Nedynesse and schenschip is to him that forsakith techyng; but he that assentith to a blamere, schal be glorified.

19 Dëshira e realizuar është e ëmbël për shpirtin, por për budallenjtë është një gjë e neveritshme largimi nga e keqja.

Desir, if it is fillid, delitith the soule; foolis wlaten hem that fleen yuels.

20 Kush shkon me të urtët bëhet i urtë, por shoku i budallenjve do të bëhet i keq.

He that goith with wijs men, schal be wijs; the freend of foolis schal be maad lijk hem.

21 E keqja përndjek mëkatarët, por i drejti do të shpërblehet me të mirën.

Yuel pursueth synneris; and goodis schulen be yoldun to iust men.

22 Njeriu i mirë i lë një trashëgim bijve të bijve të tij, por pasuria e mëkatarit vihet mënjanë për të drejtin.

A good man schal leeue aftir him eiris, sones, and the sones of sones; and the catel of a synnere is kept to a iust man.

23 Ara e punuar e të varfërve jep ushqim me shumicë, por ka nga ata që vdesin për mungesë drejtësie.

Many meetis ben in the new tilid feeldis of fadris; and ben gaderid to othere men with out doom.

24 Kush e kursen shufrën urren birin e vet, por ai që e do e korrigjon me kohë.

He that sparith the yerde, hatith his sone; but he that loueth him, techith bisili.

25 I drejti ha sa të ngopet, por barku i të pabesëve vuan nga uria.

A iust man etith, and fillith his soule; but the wombe of wickid men is vnable to be fillid.
