1 Zoti i foli akoma Moisiut në shkretëtirën e Sinait, në çadrën e mbledhjes, ditën e parë të muajit të dytë, gjatë vitit të dytë nga dalja e tyre nga vendi i Egjiptit, dhe i tha:

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses in the desert of Sinai in the tent of meeting, —on the first of the second month in the second year by their coming forth out of the land of Egypt saying:

2 “Bëni regjistrimin e gjithë asamblesë së bijve të Izraelit në bazë të familjeve të tyre dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, duke numëruar një për një emrat e çdo mashkulli.

Reckon ye up the sum of all the assembly of the sons of Israel, by their families by their ancestral houses, —in the counting of names, every male, by their polls;

3 Nga mosha njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që në Izrael mund të shkojnë në luftë; ti dhe Aaroni do t’i regjistroni, grup pas grupi.

from twenty years old and upwards, every one able to go forth to war in Israel, —ye shall number them by their hosts, thou and Aaron;

4 Dhe me ju do të jetë një burrë për çdo fis, një që të jetë i pari i shtëpisë së atit të tij.

and with you, shall be one man for each tribe, —each man, head of his ancestral house, shall be.

5 Këta janë emrat e burrave që do të jenë me ju. nga Ruben, Elitsur, bir i Shedeurit;

These, then, are the names of the men who shall stand with you, —Of Reuben, Elizur, son of Shedeur;

6 nga Simeoni, Shelumieli, bir i Tsurishadait;

Of Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;

7 nga Juda, Nahshoni, bir i Aminadabit;

Of Judah, Nahshon, son of Amminadab;

8 nga Isakari, Nethaneeli, bir i Tsuarit;

Of Issachar, Nethanel, son of Zuar;

9 nga Zabuloni, Eliabi, bir i Helonit;

Of Zebulun, Eliab, son of Helon;

10 nga bijtë e Jozefit, për Efraimin, Elishama, bir i Amihudit; për Manasën, Gamalieli, bir i Pedahtsurit;

Of the sons of Joseph, —Of Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud; Of Manasseh, Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur;

11 nga Beniamini, Abidani, bir i Gideonit;

Of Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni;

12 nga Dani, Ahiezeri, bir i Amishadaidit;

Of Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;

13 nga Asheri, Pagieli, bir i Okranit;

Of Asher, Pagiel, son of Ochran;

14 nga Gadi, Eliasafi, bir i Deuelit;

Of Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel;

15 nga Neftali, Ahira, bir i Enanit”.

Of Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan.

16 Këta janë ata që u zgjodhën nga asambleja, prijësit e fiseve të etërve të tyre, krerët e divizioneve të Izraelit.

These, are they who had been summoned by the assembly, being princes of the tribes of their fathers, —heads of the thousands of Israel.

17 Moisiu dhe Aaroni morën, pra, këta burra që ishin caktuar me emër,

So then Moses and Aaron took these men, who were distinguished by name;

18 dhe thirrën tërë asamblenë, ditën e parë të muajit të dytë; ata u treguan fisin e tyre, në bazë të familjeve të tyre dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, duke numëruar personat me moshë njëzet vjeç e lart, një për një.

all the assembly also, called they together on the first of the second month, —and they declared their pedigree according to their families by their ancestral houses, —in the counting of names from twenty years old and upwards by their polls.

19 Ashtu si Zoti pat urdhëruar Moisiun, ai bëri regjistrimin e tyre në shkretëtirën e Sinait.

As Yahweh commanded Moses, so he mustered them in the desert of Sinai.

20 Nga bijtë e Rubenit, i parëlinduri i Izraelit, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve të tyre dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, duke numëruar emrat e të gjithë meshkujve, një për një, nga mosha njëzet vjeç e lart, tërë ata që ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë:

And they were [as followeth] —The sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, in their pedigrees—by their families, by their ancestral houses, in the counting of names, by their polls, every male, from twenty years old and upwards, every one able to go forth to war;

21 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Rubenit ishin dyzet e gjashtë mijë e pesëqind.

such as were numbered of them as belonging to the tribe of Reuben, forty-six thousand and five hundred.

22 Nga bijtë e Simeonit, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve të tyre dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, ata që u regjistruan duke numëruar emrat e të gjithë meshkujve, një për një, nga mosha njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë:

Of the sons of Simeon, in their pedigrees by their families by their ancestral houses, —such as were numbered of him, in the counting of names by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upwards, every one able to go forth to war;

23 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Simeonit ishin pesëdhjetë e nëntë mijë e treqind.

such as were numbered of them as belonging to the tribe of Simeon, fifty-nine thousand and three hundred.

24 Nga bijtë e Gadit, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve të tyre dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, duke numëruar emrat e atyre që ishin njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë:

Of the sons of Gad, in their pedigrees—by their families by their ancestral houses, in the counting of names from twenty years old and upwards, every one able to go forth to war:

25 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Gadit ishin dyzet e pesë mijë e gjashtëqind e pesëdhjetë.

such as were numbered of them as belonging to the tribe of Gad, forty-five thousand and six hundred and fifty.

26 Nga bijtë e Judës, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve të tyre dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, duke i numëruar emrat e tyre nga njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë:

Of the sons of Judah, in their pedigrees by their families by their ancestral houses, —in the counting of names, from twenty years old and upwards, every one able to go forth to war;

27 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Judës ishin shtatëdhjetë e katër mijë e gjashtëqind.

such as were numbered of them as belonging to the tribe of Judah, seventy-four thousand and six hundred.

28 Nga bijtë e Isakarit, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve të tyre dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, duke i numëruar emrat nga njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë:

Of the sons of Issachar, in their pedigrees—by their families by their ancestral houses, —in the counting of names, from twenty year old and upwards, every one able to go forth to war;

29 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Isakarit ishin pesëdhjetë e katër mijë e katërqind.

such as were numbered of them as belonging to the tribe of Issachar, fifty-four thousand and four hundred.

30 Nga bijtë e Zabulonit, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre duke i numëruar nga mosha njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë:

Of the sons of Zebulun, in their pedigrees—by their families by their ancestral houses, —in the counting of names from twenty years old and upwards, every one able to go forth to war;

31 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Zabulonit ishin pesëdhjetë e shtatë mijë e katërqind.

such as were numbered of them as belonging to the tribe of Zebulun, fifty-seven thousand and four hundred.

32 Ndër bijtë e Jozefit: nga bijtë e Efraimit, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, duke i numëruar emrat nga mosha njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që ishin të aftë për të shkuar në luftë:

Of the sons of Joseph—Of the sons of Ephraim, in their pedigrees—by their families by their ancestral houses, —in the counting of names, from twenty years old, and upwards, every one able to go forth to war;

33 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Efraimit ishin dyzet mijë e pesëqind.

such as were numbered of them, as belonging to the tribe of Ephraim, forty thousand and five hundred.

34 Nga bijtë e Manasit, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, duke i numëruar emrat nga mosha njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë:

Of the sons of Manasseh, in their pedigrees—by their families by their ancestral houses, —in the counting of names from twenty years old and upwards, every one able to go forth to war;

35 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Manasit ishin tridhjetë e dy mijë e dyqind.

such as were numbered of them as belonging to the tribe of Manasseh, thirty-two thousand, and two hundred.

36 Nga bijtë e Beniaminit, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve të tyre dhe të etërve të tyre, duke i numëruar emrat nga mosha njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë:

Of the sons of Benjamin, in their pedigrees by their families, by their ancestral houses, —in the counting of names, from twenty years old, and upwards, every one able to go forth to war;

37 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Beniaminit ishin tridhjetë e pesë mijë e katërqind.

such as were numbered of them as belonging to the tribe of Benjamin, thirty-five thousand and four hundred.

38 Nga bijtë e Danit, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, duke i numëruar emrat nga mosha njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë:

Of the sons of Dan, in their pedigrees by their families by their ancestral houses, in the counting of names from twenty years old and upwards, every one able to go forth to war;

39 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Danit ishin gjashtëdhjetë e dy mijë e shtatëqind.

such as were numbered of them as belonging to the tribe of Dan, sixty-two thousand, and seven hundred.

40 Nga bijtë e Asherit, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve të tyre dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, duke i numëruar emrat nga mosha njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë:

Of the sons of Asher, in their pedigrees—by their families by their ancestral houses, —in the counting of names, from twenty years old, and upwards, every one able to go forth to war;

41 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Asherit ishin dyzet e një mijë e pesëqind.

such as were numbered of them as belonging to the tribe of Asher, forty-one thousand, and five hundred.

42 Nga bijtë e Neftalit, trashëgimtarët e tyre në bazë të familjeve të tyre dhe të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, duke i numëruar emrat nga mosha njëzet vjeç e lart, të gjithë ata që ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë:

The sons of Naphtali, in their pedigrees by their families by their ancestral houses, —in the counting of names, from twenty years old, and upwards, every one able to go forth to war;

43 ata që u regjistruan nga fisi i Neftalit ishin pesëdhjetë e tre mijë e katërqind.

such as were numbered of them, as belonging to the tribe of Naphtali, fifty-three thousand, and four hundred.

44 Këta ishin të regjistruarit nga Moisiu dhe Aaroni, së bashku me dymbëdhjetë burrat, prijës të Izraelit, secili përfaqësues i shtëpisë së atit të tij.

These, are they who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron and the twelve princes of Israel did number, the princes acting each one for his ancestral house.

45 Kështu tërë bijtë e Izraelit që u regjistruan në bazë të shtëpive të etërve të tyre, nga mosha njëzet vjeç e lart, domethënë tërë njerëzit që në Izrael ishin të aftë të shkonin në luftë,

So then all they who were numbered of the sons of Israel by their ancestral houses, from twenty years old and upwards, every one able to go forth to war in Israel;

46 të gjithë ata që u regjistruan ishin gjashtëqind e tre mijë e pesëqind e pesëdhjetë.

so then all they who were numbered were six hundred and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

47 Por Levitët nuk u regjistruan bashkë me të tjerët, simbas fisit të etërve të tyre,

But the Levites by the tribe of their fathers were not numbered in their midst.

48 sepse Zoti i kishte folur Moisiut, duke i thënë:

For Yahweh spake unto Moses saying:

49 “Vetëm në fisin e Levit nuk do të bësh regjistrimin dhe nuk do të llogaritësh numrin e tyre me bijtë e Izraelit;

Only the tribe of Levi, shalt thou not number, nor the sum of them, shalt thou reckon up, in the midst of the sons of Israel.

50 por besoju Levitëve kujdesin për tabernakullin e dëshmisë, për të gjitha orenditë e tij dhe për çdo gjë që i përket. Ata do të mbartin tabernakullin dhe tërë orenditë e tij, do të bëjnë shërbimin dhe do të fushojnë rreth tabernakullit.

But do, thou thyself, put the Levites in charge over the habitation of the testimony, and over all the furniture thereof and over all that pertaineth thereto, they, shall bear the habitation, and all the furniture thereof, and they, shall attend thereupon; and, round about the habitation, shall they encamp.

51 Kur tabernakulli duhet të zhvendoset, Levitët do ta bëjnë pjesë-pjesë; kur tabernakulli duhet të ndalet, ata do ta ngrenë; dhe i huaji që do të afrohet do të dënohet me vdekje.

And, when the habitation is to set forward, the Levites shall take it down, and when the habitation is to be pitched, the Levites, shall set it up, but the stranger that draweth near, shall be put to death.

52 Bijtë e Izraelit do t’i ngrenë çadrat e tyre secili në kampin e vet, secili pranë flamurit të vet, simbas renditjes së tyre.

So then the sons of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man, near his own camp, and, every man, near his own standard, by their hosts;

53 Por Levitët do t’i ngrenë çadrat e tyre rreth tabenakullit të dëshmisë me qëllim që mëria ime të mos bjerë mbi asamblenë e bijve të Izraelit; kështu Levitët do të kujdesen për tabernakullin e dëshmisë”.

but the Levites, shall pitch their tents round about the habitation of the testimony, that there be no wrath upon the assembly of the sons of Israel, —so shall the Levites keep the watch of the habitation of the testimony.

54 Bijtë e Izraelit iu binden gjithçkaje që Zoti kishte urdhëruar Moisiun, dhe kështu bënë.

Thus did the sons of Israel, —according to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so, did they.
