Mateu 17
1 Mbas gjashtë ditësh Jezusi mori me vete Pjetrin, Jakobin dhe Gjonin, vëllanë e tij, dhe i çoi mbi një mal të lartë, në vetmi;
And after sixe daies Jhesus took Petre, and James, and Joon, his brother, and ledde hem aside in to an hiy hil,
2 dhe u shpërfytyrua përpara tyre: fytyra e tij shkëlqeu si dielli dhe rrobat e tij u bënë të bardha si drita.
and was turned in to an othir licnesse bifor hem. And his face schone as the sunne; and hise clothis weren maad white as snowe.
3 Dhe ja, iu shfaqën atyre Moisiu dhe Elia, të cilët bisedonin me të.
And lo! Moises and Elie apperiden to hem, and spaken with hym.
4 Atëherë Pjetri, duke marrë fjalën, i tha Jezusit: “Zot, është mirë që ne jemi këtu; po të duash, do të ngremë këtu tri çadra: një për ty, një për Moisiun dhe një për Elian”.
And Petre answeride, and seide to Jhesu, Lord, it is good vs to be here. If thou wolt, make we here thre tabernaclis; to thee oon, to Moises oon, and oon to Elye. Yit the while he spak, lo!
5 Ndërsa ai fliste akoma, ja një re plot dritë i mbuloi; dhe nga reja u dëgjua një zë që thoshte: “Ky është Biri im i dashur, në të jam kënaqur: dëgjojeni!”.
a briyt cloude ouerschadewide hem; and lo! a voice out of the cloude, that seide, This is my dereworth sone, in whom Y haue wel pleside to me; here ye hym.
6 Dhe dishepujt, sapo e dëgjuan këtë, ranë me fytyrë për tokë dhe i zuri një frikë e madhe.
And the disciplis herden, and felden doun on her faces, and dredden greetli.
7 Por Jezusi u afrua, i preku dhe tha: “Çohuni dhe mos kini frikë!”.
And Jhesus cam, and touchide hem, and seide to hem, Rise vp, and nyle ye drede.
8 Dhe ata, kur i çuan sytë, nuk panë njeri, përveç Jezusit vetëm.
And thei liften vp her iyen, and saien no man, but Jhesu aloone.
9 Pastaj, kur po zbrisnin nga mali, Jezusi u dha atyre këtë urdhër duke thënë: “Mos i flisni askujt për këtë vegim, derisa i Biri i njeriut të jetë ringjallur prej së vdekuri”.
And as thei camen doun of the hille, Jhesus comaundide to hem, and seide, Seie ye to no man the visioun, til mannus sone rise ayen fro deeth.
10 Atëherë dishepujt e tij e pyetën duke thënë: “Vallë pse skribët thonë se duhet të vijë më parë Elia?”.
And his disciplis axiden hym, and seiden, What thanne seien the scribis, that it bihoueth that Elie come first?
11 Dhe Jezusi u përgjigj: “Vërtetë Elia duhet të vijë më parë dhe të rivendosë çdo gjë.
He answeride, and seide to hem, Elie schal come, and he schal restore alle thingis.
12 Por unë ju them se Elia ka ardhur dhe ata nuk e kanë njohur, madje u sollën me të si deshën; kështu edhe Birit të njeriut do t’i duhet të vuajë prej tyre”.
And Y seie to you, that Elie is nowe comun, and thei knewen hym not, but thei diden in him what euer thingis thei wolden; and so mannus sone schal suffre of hem.
13 Atëherë dishepujt e kuptuan se u kishte folur për Gjon Pagëzorin.
Thanne the disciplis vndurstoden, that he seide to hem of Joon Baptist.
14 Kur arritën afër turmës, një burrë iu afrua dhe, duke u gjunjëzuar para tij,
And whanne he cam to the puple, a man cam to hym, and felde doun on hise knees bifor hym, and seide,
15 tha: “Zot, ki mëshirë për birin tim, sepse është epileptik dhe vuan shumë; shpesh ai bie në zjarr dhe shpesh në ujë.
Lord, haue merci on my sone; for he is lunatike, and suffrith yuele, for ofte tymes he fallith in to the fier, and ofte tymes in to water.
16 Tani unë e solla te dishepujt e tu, por ata nuk mundën ta shërojnë”.
And Y brouyte hym to thi disciplis, and thei myyten not heele hym.
17 Dhe Jezusi duke u përgjigjur tha: “O brez që nuk beson dhe i çoroditur! Deri kur do të qëndroj midis jush? Deri kur do t’ju duroj? E sillni këtu tek unë”.
Jhesus answeride, and seide, A! thou generacion vnbileueful and weiward; hou long schal Y be with you? hou long schal Y suffre you? Brynge ye hym hider to me.
18 Atëherë Jezusi e qortoi demonin dhe ky doli nga djali; dhe që nga ai çast djali u shërua.
And Jhesus blamede hym, and the deuel wente out fro hym; and the child was heelid fro that our.
19 Atëherë dishepujt iu afruan Jezusit mënjanë dhe i thanë: “Përse ne nuk ishim në gjendje ta dëbonim?”.
Thanne the disciplis camen to Jhesu priueli, and seiden to hym, Whi myyten not we caste hym out?
20 Dhe Jezusi u tha atyre: “Prej mosbesimit tuaj; sepse në të vërtetë, unë po ju them, se po të keni besim sa një kokërr sinapi, do t’i thoni këtij mali: “Zhvendosu nga këtu atje”, dhe ai do të zhvendoset; dhe asgjë nuk do të jetë e pamundshme për ju.
Jhesus seith to hem, For youre vnbileue. Treuli Y seie to you, if ye han feith, as a corn of seneueye, ye schulen seie to this hil, Passe thou hennus, and it schal passe; and no thing schal be vnpossible to you;
21 Por ky lloji demoni nuk del veçse me anë të lutjes dhe të agjërimit”.
but this kynde is not caste out, but bi preiyng and fastyng.
22 Por, ndërsa ata qëndronin në Galile, Jezusi u tha atyre: “Biri i njeriut do t’u dorëzohet në duart e njerëzve,
And whilis thei weren abidynge togidere in Galilee, Jhesus seide to hem, Mannus sone schal be bitraied in to the hondis of men;
23 dhe ata do ta vrasin; por ditën e tretë ai do të ringjallet”. Dhe ata u pikëlluan shumë.
and thei schulen sle hym, and the thridde day he schal rise ayen to lijf. And thei weren ful sori.
24 Kur arritën në Kapernaum, vjelësit e të drahmeve iu afruan Pjetrit dhe thanë: “Mësuesi juaj a e paguan taksën e tempullit?”.
And whanne thei camen to Cafarnaum, thei that token tribute, camen to Petre, and seiden to hym, Youre maister payeth not tribute?
25 Ai tha: “Po”. Kur hyri në shtëpi, Jezusi e priti përpara duke thënë: “Ç’mendon ti, Simon? Prej kujt i marrin haraçet ose taksat mbretërit e dheut? Prej bijve të vet apo prej të huajve?”.
And he seide, Yhis. And whanne he was comen in to the hous, Jhesus cam bifor hym, and seide, Symount, what semeth to thee? Kyngis of erthe, of whom taken thei tribute? of her sones, ether of aliens?
26 Pjetri i tha: “Prej të huajve”. Jezusi tha: “Bijtë, pra, përjashtohen.
And he seide, Of aliens. Jhesus seide to hym, Thanne sones ben fre.
27 Megjithatë, për të mos i skandalizuar ata, shko në det, hidhe grepin dhe merr peshkun e parë që do vijë lart, hapja gojën dhe do të gjesh një staterë; merre dhe jepjau atyre për ty dhe për mua”.
But that we sclaundre hem not, go to the see, and caste an hook, and take thilke fisch that first cometh vp; and, whanne his mouth is opened, thou schalt fynde a stater, and yyue for thee and for me.
