1 Pastaj Jozueu mblodhi të gjitha fiset e Izraelit në Sikem, dhe thirri pleqtë e Izraelit, krerët, gjykatësit dhe oficerët e tij, që u paraqitën përpara Perëndisë.
and to gather Joshua [obj] all tribe Israel Shechem [to] and to call: call to to/for old: elder Israel and to/for head: leader his and to/for to judge him and to/for official his and to stand to/for face: before [the] God
2 Dhe Jozueu i tha tërë popullit: “Kështu flet Zoti, Perëndia i Izraelit: “Në kohërat e kaluara, etërit tuaj, si Terahu, ati i Abrahamit dhe i Nahorit, banonin matanë lumit dhe u shërbenin perëndive të tjera.
and to say Joshua to(wards) all [the] people thus to say LORD God Israel in/on/with side: beyond [the] River to dwell father your from forever: antiquity Terah father Abraham and father Nahor and to serve: minister God another
3 Unë mora atin tuaj Abrahamin nga ana tjetër e lumit, e bëra të kalojë nëpër gjithë vendin e Kanaanit, shumëzova pasardhësit e tij dhe i dhashë Isakun.

6 Kështu nxora nga Egjipti etërit tuaj, dhe ju arritët në det. Egjiptasit i ndoqën etërit tuaj me qerre dhe me kalorës deri në Detin e Kuq.

7 Por ata i klithën Zotit, dhe ai vendosi një errësirë të dendur midis jush dhe Egjiptasve; pastaj hodha mbi ta detin, që i mbuloi; dhe sytë tuaj panë atë që u bëra Egjiptasve. Pastaj qëndruat për një kohë të gjatë në shkretëtirë.

13 Dhe ju dhashë një tokë për të cilën nuk kishit punuar dhe qytete që nuk i kishit ndërtuar, dhe ju banuat në to; dhe tani hani frytin e vreshtave dhe të ullishteve që nuk keni mbjellë”.

15 Dhe në rast se ju duket një gjë e keqe t’i shërbeni Zotit, zgjidhni sot kujt doni t’i shërbeni, o perënditë të cilëve u shërbyen etërit tuaj matanë lumit, o perënditë e Amorejve, në vendin e të cilëve

19 Por Jozueu i tha popullit: “Ju nuk mund t’i shërbeni Zotit, sepse ai është një Perëndi i shenjtë, një Perëndi ziliqar; ai nuk do t’i falë shkeljet dhe mëkatet tuaja.
and to say Joshua to(wards) [the] people not be able to/for to serve: minister [obj] LORD for God holy he/she/it God jealous he/she/it not to lift: forgive to/for transgression your and to/for sin your
20 Kur ta braktisni Zotin dhe t’u shërbeni perëndive të huaja, ai do të kthehet për t’ju bërë keq dhe për t’ju konsumuar pas aq të mirave që ju ka bërë”.
for to leave: forsake [obj] LORD and to serve: minister God foreign and to return: turn back and be evil to/for you and to end: destroy [obj] you after which be good to/for you
21 Dhe populli i tha Jozueut: “Jo, ne do t’i shërbejmë Zotit”.
and to say [the] people to(wards) Joshua not for [obj] LORD to serve: minister
22 Atëherë Jozueu i tha popullit: “Ju jeni dëshmitarë kundër vetvetes, pse keni zgjedhur për vete Zotin për t’i shërbyer!”. Ata iu përgjigjën: “Jemi dëshmitarë!”.
and to say Joshua to(wards) [the] people witness you(m. p.) in/on/with you for you(m. p.) to choose to/for you [obj] LORD to/for to serve: minister [obj] him and to say witness
23 Jozueu tha: “Hiqni, pra, perënditë e huaja që janë në mes tuaj dhe përuleni zemrën tuaj Zotit, Perëndisë së Izraelit!”.

24 Populli iu përgjigj Jozueut: “Ne do t’i shërbejmë Zotit, Perëndisë tonë, dhe do t’i bindemi zërit të tij”.
and to say [the] people to(wards) Joshua [obj] LORD God our to serve: minister and in/on/with voice his to hear: obey
25 Kështu Jozueu lidhi atë ditë një besëlidhje me popullin, dhe i dha statutet dhe dekretet në Sikem.
and to cut: make(covenant) Joshua covenant to/for people in/on/with day [the] he/she/it and to set: put to/for him statute: decree and justice: judgement in/on/with Shechem
26 Pastaj Jozueu shkroi këto gjëra në librin e ligjit të Perëndisë; dhe mori një gur të madh dhe e vendosi aty, poshtë lisit, pranë shenjtërores së Zotit.
and to write Joshua [obj] [the] word [the] these in/on/with scroll: book instruction God and to take: take stone great: large and to arise: establish her there underneath: under [the] oak which in/on/with sanctuary LORD
27 Jozueu i tha pastaj tërë popullit: “Ja, ky gur do të jetë një dëshmitar kundër nesh, sepse ai i dëgjoi tërë fjalët që na tha Zoti; ai, pra, do të shërbejë si dëshmitar kundër jush, me qëllim që të mos e mohoni Perëndinë tuaj”.
and to say Joshua to(wards) all [the] people behold [the] stone [the] this to be in/on/with us to/for witness for he/she/it to hear: hear [obj] all word LORD which to speak: speak with us and to be in/on/with you to/for witness lest to deceive [emph?] in/on/with God your
28 Pastaj Jozueu e ktheu popullin në vendin ku ishte më parë, secili në trashëgiminë e vet.
and to send: depart Joshua [obj] [the] people man: anyone to/for inheritance his
29 Pas këtyre gjërave Jozueu, bir i Nunit dhe shërbëtor i Zotit, vdiq në moshën njëqind e dhjetë vjeç,
and to be after [the] word: thing [the] these and to die Joshua son: child Nun servant/slave LORD son: aged hundred and ten year
30 dhe e varrosën në territorin e pronës së tij në Timnath-Serah, që ndodhet në krahinën malore të Efraimit, në veri të malit Gaash.
and to bury [obj] him in/on/with border: area inheritance his in/on/with Timnath-serah Timnath-serah which in/on/with mountain: hill country Ephraim from north to/for mountain: mount Gaash
31 Izraeli i shërbeu Zotit gjatë gjithë jetës së Jozueut dhe gjatë gjithë jetës së pleqve që jetuan pas Jozueut dhe që dinin tërë veprat që Zoti kishte bërë për Izraelin.

32 Eshtrat e Jozefit, që bijtë e Izraelit kishin sjellë nga Egjipti, i varrosën në Sikem, në pjesën e arës që Jakobi ua kishte blerë bijve të Hamorit, atit të Sikemit, për njëqind pjesë argjendi, dhe që ishte pronë e bijve të Jozefit.

33 Pastaj vdiq edhe Eleazari, bir i Aaronit, dhe e varrosën në malin, që ishte pronë e birit të tij Finehas dhe që ia kishin dhënë në krahinën malore të Efraimit.
and Eleazar son: child Aaron to die and to bury [obj] him in/on/with Gibeah Phinehas son: child his which to give: give to/for him in/on/with mountain: hill country Ephraim
