1 Pjesa që iu dha me short fisit të bijve të Judës, simbas familjeve të tyre, shtrihej deri në kufirin e Edomit, në shkretëtirën e Tsinit, në skajin jugor.

So then the boundary of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families, —reached unto the boundary of Edom, the desert of Zin southward, on the extreme south;

2 Kufiri i tyre jugor fillonte në skajin e Detit të Kripur, nga kepi që drejtohet në jug,

so their south boundary beginneth at the end of the Salt Sea, —from the bay that turneth to the south;

3 dhe zgjatej në jug në drejtim të të përpjetës së Akrabimit, kalonte nëpër Tsin, pastaj ngjitej në drejtim të Adarit dhe kthente nga ana e Karkaas;

and goeth forth on the south of the cliffs of Akrabbim, and crosseth over to Zin, and goeth up on the south of Kadesh-barnea, —and passeth over by Hezron, and goeth up to Addar, and turneth round to Karka;

4 kalonte pastaj nga Atsmoni dhe vazhdonte deri në përruan e Egjiptit, dhe mbaronte në det. “Ky do të jetë”, tha Jozueu, “kufiri juaj në jug”.

and passeth over to Azmon, and goeth forth at the ravine of Egypt, and so the extensions of the boundary are to the sea. This, shall be your south boundary.

5 Kufiri në lindje ishte Deti i Kripur deri në grykëderdhjen e Jordanit. Kufiri verior fillonte me mëngën e detit pranë grykëderdhjes së Jordanit;

And, a boundary eastward, is the Salt Sea, as far as the end of the Jordan. And, the boundary on the north side, is from the bay of the sea, from the end of the Jordan.

6 pastaj kufiri ngjitej në drejtim të Beth-Oglahut, kalonte në veri të Beth-Arabahut dhe ngjitej deri në gurin e Bohanit, birit të Rubenit.

And the boundary goeth up Beth-hoglah, and passeth over, on the north, by Beth-arabah, —and the boundary goeth up by the Stone of Bohan, son of Reuben;

7 Pastaj nga Lugina e Akorit kufiri ngjitej në Debir, kthehej prapa në veri në drejtim të Gilgalit, që ndodhet përballë së përpjetës të Adumumit, në jug të luginës; pastaj kufiri kalonte në ujërat e En-Shemeshit dhe mbaronte në En-Roguel.

and the boundary goeth up towards Debir, out of the vale of Achor, then northward, turning unto Gilgal, which is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the ravine, —then the boundary passeth over unto the waters of En-shemesh, and so the extensions thereof are unto En-rogel:

8 Kufiri pas kësaj ngjitej nëpër luginën e birit të Hinonit deri te shpatet jugore të qytetit të Jebusejve (që është Jeruzalemi). Pastaj kufiri ngjitej deri në majën e malit që ndodhet përballë luginës së Hinomit në perëndim, që mbetet në skajin e luginës të Refaimit në veri.

then ascendeth the boundary by the valley of the son of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite, on the south, the same, is Jerusalem, —and the boundary goeth up unto the top of the mountain which faceth the valley of Hinnom, to the west, which is at the end of the Vale of Giants, northwards;

9 Nga maja e malit kufiri shtrihej deri në burimin e ujërave të Neftoahut, vazhdonte në drejtim të qyteteve të malit Efron dhe pastaj kthente deri në Baalah, që është Kirjath-Jearimi.

and the boundary turneth round, from the top of the mountain, unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and goeth out unto the cities of Mount Ephron, —then the boundary turneth round to Baalah, the same, is Kiriath-jearim;

10 Nga Baalahu kufiri kthente pastaj në perëndim të malit Seir, kalonte mbi faqen veriore të malit Jearim (që është Kesaloni), zbriste në Beth-Shemesh dhe kalonte nëpër Timah.

then the boundary goeth round from Baalah westward, unto Mount Seir, and passeth over unto the slope of Mount Yearim, on the north, the same, is Chesalon, —and descendeth Bethshemesh, and passeth over Timnah;

11 Pastaj kufiri arrinte anën veriore të Ekronit, kthente nga Shikroni, kalonte nëpër malin e Baalahut, shtrihej deri në Jabneel dhe mbaronte në det.

then the boundary goeth forth unto the side of Ekron, northward, then the boundary turneth round towards Shikkeron, and crosseth over Mount Baalah, and goeth out at Jabneel, —and the extensions of the boundary are to the sea.

12 Kufiri në perëndim ishte Deti i Madh. Këta ishin rreth e qark kufijtë e bijve të Judës simbas familjeve të tyre.

And, as a west boundary, are the great sea and coast. This, is the boundary of the sons of Judah, round about, by their families.

13 Kalebit, birit të Jefunehut, Jozueu i dha një pjesë në mes të bijve të Judës, ashtu siç e kishte porositur Zoti; Kirjath-Arba, që është Hebroni (Arba ishte ati i Anakut).

And, to Caleb, son of Jephunneh, gave he a portion, in the midst of the sons of Judah, at the bidding of Yahweh, by Joshua, —even the City of Arba, father of Anak, the same, is Hebron.

14 Dhe Kalebi dëboi që andej tre djemtë e Anakut, Sheshain, Ahimanin dhe Talmain, pasardhës të Anakut;

And Caleb dispossessed from thence, the three sons of Anak, —Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.

15 Që këtej ai u ngrit kundër banorëve të Debirit (që më parë quhej Kirjath-Sefer).

And he went up from thence, against the inhabitants of Debir, —now, the name of Debir, formerly, was Kiriath-sepher.

16 Dhe Kalebi tha: “Atij që do të sulmojë Kirjath-Seferin dhe do ta shtjerë në dorë, unë do t’i jap për grua vajzën time Aksah”.

Then said Caleb, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and captureth it, I will give unto him Achsah, my daughter, to wife.

17 Atëherë Othnieli, bir i Kenazit, vëllai i Kalebit, e shtiu në dorë, dhe Kalebi i dha për grua bijën e tij Aksah.

And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captured it, —so he gave unto him Achsah, his daughter, to wife.

18 Kur ajo erdhi të banojë me të, i mbushi mendjen Othnielit t’i kërkonte atit të saj një fushë. Atëherë ajo zbriti nga gomari dhe Kalebi i tha: “Çfarë do?”.

And it came to pass, when she came, that she moved him to ask of her father a field, and, when she alighted from off the ass, Caleb said unto her—What aileth thee?

19 Ajo iu përgjigj: “Më bëj një dhuratë; mbasi më ke dhënë tokë në Negev, më jep edhe burime ujore”. Kështu ai i dhuroi burimet e sipërme dhe burimet e poshtme.

And she said—Give me a present, for, dry land, hast thou given me, therefore must thou give me, pools of water. So he gave her upper pools and lower pools.

20 Kjo qe trashëgimia e fisit të bijve të Judës, simbas familjeve të tyre;

This, is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families.

21 qytetet e vendosura në skajin e fisit të bijve të Judës, në drejtim të kufirit të Edomit, në Negev ishin: Kabtseeli, Ederi dhe Jaguri,

And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the sons of Judah, towards the boundary of Edom in the south, were, —Kabzeel and Eder, and Jagur,

22 Kinahu, Dimonahu, Adadahu,

and Kinah and Dimonah, and Adadah, —

23 Kadeshi, Hatsori, Ithnami,

and Kedesh and Hazor, and Ithnan,

24 Zifi, Telemi, Bealothi,

Ziph and Talem, and Bealoth,

25 Hatsor-Hadattahu, Kerioth-Hetsroni (domethënë në Hatsori),

and Hazor-hadattah and Kerioth-hezron, the same, is Hazor;

26 Amami, Shema, Moladahu,

Amam and Shema, and Moladah,

27 Hatsar-Gadahu, Heshmoni, Beth-Peleti,

and Hazar-gaddah and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet.

28 Hatsar-Shuali, Beer-Sheba, Bizjothjahu,

and Hazarshual and Beer-sheba, with the hamlets thereof,

29 Baala, Ijimi, Etsemi,

Baalah and Iyyim, and Ezem,

30 Eltoladi, Kesili, Hormahu,

and Eltolad and Chesil, and Hormah,

31 Tsiklagu, Madmanahu, Sansanahu,

and Ziklag and Madmannah, and Sansannah,

32 Lebaothi, Shilhimi, Aini, Rimoni; gjithsej njëzet e nëntë qytete me fshatrat e tyre.

and Lebaoth and Shilhim, and En-rimmon, —all the cities are twenty-nine, with their villages.

33 Në ultësirë: Eshaoli, Tsoreahu, Ashnahu,

In the lowland, —Eshtaol and Zorah, and Ashnah,

34 Zanoahu, En-Ganimi, Tapuahu, Enami;

and Zanoah and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;

35 Jarmuthi, Adulami, Sosohu, Azekahu,

Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;

36 Shaaraimi, Adithaimi, Gederahu dhe Gederothaimi: katërmbëdhjetë qytete me gjithë fshatrat e tyre;

and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim, —fourteen cities, with their villages.

37 Tsenani, Hadashahu, Migdal-Gadi,

Zenan and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,

38 Dileani, Mitspahu, Joktheeli,

and Dilan and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,

39 Lakishi, Bokskathi, Egloni,

Lachish and Bozkath, and Eglon,

40 Kaboni, Lahmasi, Kitlishi,

and Cabbon and Lahmas, and Chithlish,

41 Gederothi, Beth-Dagoni, Naamahu dhe Makedahu; gjashtëmbëdhjetë qytete me gjithë fshatrat e tyre;

and Gederoth, Beth-dagon and Naamah, and Makkedah, —sixteen cities, with their villages.

42 Libnahu, Etheri, Ashani;

Libnah and Ether, and Ashan,

43 Jiftahu, Ashna, Netsibi;

and Iphtah and Ashnah, and Nezib,

44 Kejlahu, Akzibi dhe Mareshahu: nëntë qytete me fshatrat e tyre;

and Keilah and Achzib, and Mareshah, —nine cities, with their villages.

45 Ekroni me qytetet dhe fshatrat e tij;

Ekron with her towns, and her villages.

46 nga Ekroni deri në det, çdo gjë që ishte afër Ashdotit me fshatrat e tyre;

From Ekron, even unto the sea, —all that were by the side of Ashdod with their villages.

47 Ashdoti me gjithë qytetet dhe fshatrat e tij; Gaza me qytetet dhe fshatrat e tij deri në përroin e Egjiptit dhe në detin e Madh me bregun e tij.

Ashdod, her towns and her villages. Gaza, her towns and her villages, as far as the ravine of Egypt, —and the great sea and coast.

48 Në zonën malore: Shanoiri, Jatiri dhe Sokohu,

And in the hill-country, —Shamir and Jattir, and Socoh,

49 Danahu, Kirjath-Sanahu, domethënë Debiri,

and Dannah and Kiriath-sannah, the same, is Debir,

50 Anabi, Esthemothi, Animi,

and Anab and Eshtemoh, and Anim,

51 Gosheni, Holoni dhe Gilohu: njëmbëdhjetë qytete bashkë me fshatrat e tyre;

and Goshen and Holon, and Giloh, —eleven cities, with their villages.

52 Arabi, Dumahu, Esheani,

Arab and Rumah and Eshan,

53 Janumi, Beth-Tapuahu, Afekahu,

and Janim and Beth-tappuah and Aphekah,

54 Humtahu, Kirjath-Arba (domethënë Hebroni) dhe Tsiori: nëntë qytete me gjithë fshatrat e tyre;

and Humtah, and Kiriath-arba, the same, is Hebron, and Zior, —nine cities, with their villages.

55 Maoni, Karmeli, Zifi dhe Jutahu,

Maon, Carmel, and Ziph and Jutah,

56 Jizreeli, Jokdeami, Zanoahu,

and Jezreel and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,

57 Kaini, Gibeahu dhe Timnahu: dhjetë qytete me fshatrat e tyre;

Kain, Gibeah and Timnah, —ten cities, with their villages.

58 Halhuli, Beth-Tsuri, Gedori,

Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,

59 Maarathi, Beth-Anothi dhe Eltekoni: gjashtë qytete me fshatrat e tyre;

and Maarath and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon, —six cities, with their villages.

60 Kirjath-Baal (domethënë Kirjath-Jearimi) dhe Rabahu: dy qytete bashkë me fshatrat e tyre.

Kiriath-baal, the same, is Kiriath-jearim, and Rabbah, —two cities, with their villages.

61 Në shkretëtirë: Beth-Arabahu, Midini, Sekakahu,

In the desert, —Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,

62 Nibshani, qyteti i kripës dhe Engedi: gjashtë qytete me fshatrat e tyre.

and Nibshan and the City of Salt, and En-gedi, —six cities, with their villages.

63 Përsa u përket Jebusejve që banonin në Jeruzalem, bijtë e Judës nuk mundën t’i dëbojnë; kështu që Jebusejtë kanë banuar në Jeruzalem bashkë me bijtë e Judës deri në ditën e sotme.

But, as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not dispossess them, —so the Jebusites have dwelt with the sons of Judah, in Jerusalem, until this day.
