Jobi 1
1 Në vendin e Uzit ishte një njeri i quajtur Job. Ky njeri ishte i ndershëm dhe i drejtë, kishte frikë nga Perëndia dhe i largohej së keqes.
A man he was in [the] land of Uz [was] Job name his and he was - the man that blameless and upright and fearing God and turning aside from evil.
2 I kishin lindur shtatë bij dhe tri bija.
And they were born to him seven sons and three daughters.
3 Veç kësaj zotëronte shtatë mijë dele, tre mijë deve, pesëqind pendë qe, pesëqind gomarë dhe një numër shumë të madh shërbëtorësh. Kështu ky njeri ishte më i madhi ndër të gjithë njerëzit e Lindjes.
And it was livestock his seven thousand sheep and three thousand camels and five hundred pair[s] of ox[en] and five hundred female donkeys and service much very and he was the man that great more than all [the] people of [the] east.
4 Bijtë e tij kishin zakon të shkonin për banket në shtëpinë e secilit ditën e cakuar; dhe dërgonin të thërrisnin tri motrat e tyre, që të vinin të hanin dhe të pinin bashkë me ta.
And they went sons his and they made a feast [the] house of each one day his and they sent and they invited [the] three (sisters their *Qk) to eat and to drink with them.
5 Kur mbaronte seria e ditëve të banketit, Jobi i thërriste për t’i pastruar; ngrihej herët në mëngjes dhe ofronte olokauste sipas numrit të gjithë atyre, sepse Jobi mendonte: “Ndofta bijtë e mi kanë mëkatuar dhe e kanë blasfemuar Perëndinë në zemrën e tyre”. Kështu bënte Jobi çdo herë.
And it was that they had gone round [the] days of the feast and he sent Job and he sanctified them and he rose early in the morning and he offered up burnt offerings [the] number of all of them for he said Job perhaps they have sinned children my and they have blessed God in heart their thus he did Job all the days.
6 Një ditë ndodhi që bijtë e Perëndisë shkuan të paraqiten para Zotit, dhe ndër ta shkoi edhe Satanai.
And it was the day and they came [the] sons of God to present themselves on Yahweh and he came also the adversary in midst of them.
7 Zoti i tha Satanait: “Nga vjen?”. Satanai iu përgjigj Zotit dhe tha: “Nga ecejaket mbi dheun duke e përshkruar lart e poshtë”.
And he said Yahweh to the adversary from where? are you coming and he answered the adversary Yahweh and he said from roving about on the earth and from going about on it.
8 Zoti i tha Satanait: “E ke vënë re shërbëtorin tim Job? Sepse mbi dhe nuk ka asnjë tjetër si ai që të jetë i ndershëm, i drejtë, të ketë frikë nga Perëndia dhe t’i largohet së keqes”.
And he said Yahweh to the adversary ¿ have you set heart your on servant my Job for there not [is] like him on the earth a man blameless and upright fearing God and [who] turns aside from evil.
9 Atëherë Satanai iu përgjigj Zotit dhe tha: “Vallë më kot Jobi ka frikë nga Perëndia?
And he answered the adversary Yahweh and he said ¿ in vain has he feared Job God.
10 A nuk ke vënë ti një mbrojtje rreth tij, rreth shtëpisë së tij dhe të gjitha gjërave që ai zotëron? Ti ke bekuar veprën e duarve të tij dhe bagëtia e tij është shtuar shumë në vend.
¿ Not (you *QK) have you put a hedge behind him and behind house his and behind all that [belongs] to him from round about [the] work of hands his you have blessed and livestock his it has spread out in the land.
11 Por shtri dorën tënde dhe preki të gjitha ato që ai zotëron dhe ke për të parë po nuk të mallkoi ai haptazi”.
And but stretch out please hand your and touch all that [belongs] to him if not on face your he will bless you.
12 Zoti i tha Satanait: “Ja, të gjitha ato që ai zotëron janë në pushtetin tënd, por mos e shtri dorën mbi personin e tij”. Kështu Satanai u largua nga prania e Zotit.
And he said Yahweh to the adversary there! all that [belongs] to him [is] in hand your only against him may not you stretch out hand your and he went out the adversary from with [the] presence of Yahweh.
13 Kështu një ditë ndodhi që, ndërsa bijtë e tij dhe bijat e tij hanin e pinin verë në shtëpinë e vëllait të tyre më të madh, erdhi nga Jobi një lajmëtar për t’u thënë:
And it was the day and sons his and daughters his [were] eating and drinking wine in [the] house of brother their the firstborn.
14 Qetë po lëronin dhe gomarët po kullotnin aty afër,
And a messenger he came to Job and he said the ox[en] they were plowing and the female donkeys [were] grazing on hands their.
15 kur Sabejtë u sulën mbi ta, i morën me vete dhe vranë me shpatë shërbëtorët. Vetëm unë shpëtova për të ardhur të ta them”.
And it fell Sabean[s] and it took them and the servants they struck to [the] mouth of [the] sword and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
16 Ai ishte duke folur ende, kur arriti një tjetër dhe tha: “Zjarri i Perëndisë ra nga qielli, zuri delet dhe shërbëtorët dhe i ka përpirë. Vetëm unë shpëtova për të ardhur të ta them”.
Still - this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said [the] fire of God it fell from the heavens and it burned the sheep and the servants and it consumed them and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
17 Ai ishte duke folur, ende, kur arriti një tjetër dhe tha: “Kaldeasit kanë formuar tri banda, u sulën mbi devetë dhe i morën me vete, vranë me shpatë shërbëtorët. Vetëm unë shpëtova për të ardhur të ta them”.
Still - this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said [the] Chaldeans they formed - three companies and they made a raid on the camels and they took them and the servants they struck to [the] mouth of [the] sword and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
18 Ai ishte duke folur, ende, kur arriti një tjetër dhe tha: “Bijtë e tu dhe bijat e tua ishin duke ngrënë dhe duke pirë verë në shtëpinë e vëlliat të tyre më të madh,
Until this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said sons your and daughters your [were] eating and drinking wine in [the] house of brother their the firstborn.
19 kur papritur një erë e furishme, që vinte nga shkretëtira, ra në të katër qoshet e shtëpisë e cila u shemb mbi të rinjtë, dhe ata vdiqën. Vetëm unë shpëtova dhe erdha të ta them”.
And there! a wind great it came - from [the] other side of the wilderness and it touched [the] four [the] corners of the house and it fell on the youths and they died and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
20 Atëherë Jobi u ngrit, grisi mantelin e tij dhe rroi kokën; pastaj ra pëmbys dhe adhuroi,
And he arose Job and he tore robe his and he shaved head his and he fell [the] earth towards and he bowed down.
21 dhe tha: “Lakuriq dolla nga barku i nënës sime dhe lakuriq do të kthehem. Zoti ka dhënë dhe Zoti ka marrë. Qoftë i bekuar emri i Zotit”.
And he said naked (I came out *Qk) from [the] womb of mother my and naked I will return there towards Yahweh he gave and Yahweh he has taken may it be [the] name of Yahweh blessed.
22 Në të gjitha këto Jobi nuk mëkatoi dhe nuk paditi Perëndinë për ndonjë padrejtësi.
In all this not he sinned Job and not he ascribe unseemliness to God.
