Jeremia 48
1 Kundër Moabit. Kështu thotë Zoti i ushtrive, Perëndia i Izraelit: “Mjerë Nebi, sepse u shkatërrua; Kiriathaimi është mbuluar nga turpi, është pushtuar; kështjella është mbuluar nga turpi dhe është e tronditur.
To Moab, Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, says this, “Woe to Nebo, for it has been devastated. Kiriathaim has been humiliated and captured. Her fortress has been disgraced and crushed.
2 Lavdia e Moabit nuk është më; në Heshbon kurdisin të keqen kundër tij, duke thënë: “Ejani dhe ta shkatërrojmë, në mënyrë që të mos jetë më një komb”. Edhe ti, o Madmen, do të shkatërrohesh, shpata do të të ndjekë.
The honor of Moab is no more. Their enemies in Heshbon plotted disaster against her. They said, 'Come and let us destroy her as a nation. Madmen will also perish—a sword will go after you.'
3 Një zë që kërkon ndihmë do të dalë nga Horonaimi: shkatërrim dhe rrënim i thellë!
Listen! A sound of screaming is coming from Horonaim, where there is ruin and great destruction.
4 Maobi është copëtuar, të vegjlit e tij bëjnë që të dëgjohet zëri i tyre.
Moab has been destroyed. Her children have made their cries heard.
5 Mbi të përpjetën e Luhithit po ngjiten duke qarë në hidhërim, ndërsa në tatëpjetën e Horonaimit dëgjohet zëri plot ankth i disfatës.
They go up the hill of Luhith weeping, for on the way down to Horonaim, screams are heard because of the destruction.
6 Ikni, shpëtoni jetën tuaj dhe bëhuni si një marinë në shkretëtirë!
Flee! Save your lives and become like a juniper bush in the wilderness.
7 Duke qënë se ke pasë besim në veprat e tua dhe në thesaret e tua, edhe ti do të kapesh; dhe Kemoshi do të shkojë në robëri bashkë me priftërinjtë dhe princat e tij.
For because of your trust in your practices and your wealth, you also will be captured. Then Chemosh will go away into captivity, together with his priests and leaders.
8 Shkatërruesi do të vijë kundër të gjitha qyteteve, dhe asnjë qytet nuk do të shpëtojë; lugina do të zhduket dhe fusha do të shkatërrohet, ashtu si ka thënë Zoti.
For the destroyer will come to every city; no city will escape. So the valley will perish and the plain will be devastated, as Yahweh has said.
9 I jepni krahë Moabit, që të mund të fluturojë tutje; qytetet e tij do të bëhen të shkreta dhe askush nuk do të banojë në to.
Give wings to Moab, for she must certainly fly away. Her cities will become a wasteland, where there is no one to live in them.
10 I mallkuar qoftë ai që kryen veprën e Zotit shkel e shko, i mallkuar qoftë ai që e pengon shpatën e tij të derdhë gjak!
May anyone who is lazy in doing Yahweh's work be cursed! May anyone who keeps his sword back from shedding blood be cursed!
11 Moabi ka qënë i qetë qysh në moshë të re, duke pushuar mbi llumin e tij, dhe nuk ka kaluar nga një enë në enën tjetër dhe as që ka shkuar në robëri; prandaj i ka mbetur shija e tij dhe parfumi i tij nuk ka pësuar ndryshime.
Moab has felt secure since he was young. He is like his wine that has never been poured from pot to pot. He has never gone into captivity. Therefore he tastes as good as ever; his flavor remains unchanged.
12 Prandaj ja, do vijnë ditët”, thotë Zoti, “në të cilat do t’i dërgoj disa njerëz që do t’i toçitin enët; do t’i zbrazin enët e tij dhe do t’i thyejnë anforat e tij.
So see, the days are coming—this is Yahweh's declaration—when I will send him those who will tip him over and pour out all his pots and shatter his jars.
13 Atëherë Moabit do t’i vijë turp nga Kemoshi, ashtu si shtëpia e Izraelit u turpërua nga Betheli, tek i cili kishte pasur besim.
Then Moab will be ashamed of Chemosh just as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel, their object of trust.
14 Si mund të thoni: “Ne jemi burra të fortë dhe trima për betejën”?
How can you say, 'We are soldiers, powerful fighting men'?
15 Moabi është shkatërruar; qytetet e tij po nxjerrin tym dhe të rinjtë e tyre më të mirë zbresin në kasaphanë”, thotë Mbreti emri i të cilit është Zoti i ushtrive.
Moab will be devastated and its cities attacked. For its finest young men have gone down to the place of slaughter. This is the king's declaration! Yahweh of hosts is his name.
16 Gjëma e Moabit është tashmë e afërt dhe kobi po i vjen me hapa të shpejtë.
Moab's disaster is soon to happen; calamity is hurrying quickly.
17 Mbani zi për të, të gjithë ju që e rrethoni dhe të gjithë ju, që njihni emrin e tij, thoni: “Si u thye ai skeptër i fortë, ai bastun i mrekullushëm?”.
All you who are around Moab, wail; and all you who know its fame, shout this, 'Woe, the strong staff, the honored rod, has been broken.'
18 O bijë që banon në Dibon, zbrit nga lavdia jote dhe ulu në tokën e zhuritur, sepse shkatërruesi i Moabit ka dalë kundër teje, ka shkatërruar kështjellat e tua.
Come down from your honored place and sit on the dry ground, you daughter living in Dibon. For the one who will destroy Moab is attacking you, the one who will destroy your strongholds.
19 O ti që banon në Aroer, ndalu gjatë rrugës dhe shiko; merr në pyetje ikanakun dhe atë që po ikën dhe pyet: “Çfarë ka ndodhur?”.
Stand on the road and watch, you people who live in Aroer. Ask the ones who are fleeing and escaping. Say, 'What has happened?'
20 Moabi është mbuluar me turp, sepse është i thyer; rënkoni dhe bërtisni, njoftoni mbi Arnonin që Moabi është shkatërruar!
Moab has been shamed, for it has been shattered. Howl and lament; shout for help. Tell it to people by the Arnon River that Moab has been devastated.
21 Një ndëshkim erdhi mbi krahinën e fushës, mbi Holon, mbi Jahatsin dhe mbi Mefaathin,
Now punishment has come to the hill country, to Holon, Jahzah, and Mephaath,
22 mbi Dibonin, Nebon dhe mbi Beth-Diblathaimin,
to Dibon, Nebo, and Beth Diblathaim,
23 mbi Kiriathaimin, Beth-Gamulin dhe Beth-Meon,
to Kiriathaim, Beth Gamul, and Beth Meon,
24 mbi Keriothin, Botsrahun dhe mbi tërë qytetet e vendit të Moabit, të largëta dhe të afërta.
To Kerioth and Bozrah, and to all the cities in the land of Moab— the farthest and the closest cities.
25 Briri i Moabit është prerë dhe krahu i tij është copëtuar”, thotë Zoti.
The horn of Moab has been hacked off; its arm has been broken—this is Yahweh's declaration.
26 “Deheni, sepse është ngritur kundër Zotit. Moabi do të vërtitet në të vjellat e tij dhe do të bëhet edhe ai objekt talljeje.
Make him drunk, because he acted proudly against Yahweh. Let Moab wallow in his vomit, and let him be an object of ridicule.
27 Izraeli vallë nuk ka qënë për ty një objekt talljeje? Mos u gjet vallë midis hajdutëve, sepse sa herë që ti flet për të ti po tund kokën?
For did not Israel become an object for laughter to you? Was he found among thieves, so that you shook your head at him as often as you spoke about him?
28 Braktisni qytetet dhe shkoni të banoni në shkëmb, o banorë të Moabit, dhe bëhuni si pëllumbesha që bën folenë e saj në faqet e një gremine.
Abandon the cities and camp on the cliffs, inhabitants of Moab. Become like a dove that is nesting over the mouth of a hole in the rocks.
29 Kemi dëgjuar krenarinë e Moabit, jashtëzakonisht krenar, fodullëkun e tij, kryeneçësinë e tij, arrogancën e tij dhe mendjemadhësinë e zemrës së tij.
We have heard of Moab's pride—his arrogance, his haughtiness, his pride, his self-glory and the conceit in his heart.
30 Unë e njoh tërbimin e tij”, thotë Zoti, “që nuk ka përmbajtje, të mburrurit e tij që nuk ka përfunduar në asgjë.
This is Yahweh's declaration—I myself know his defiant speech, which amounts to nothing, like his deeds.
31 Prandaj unë po ngre një vajtim mbi Moabin dhe do të lëshoj britma nëpër të gjithë Moabin; do të vajtohet për burrat e Kir-Heresit.
So I will howl a lament for Moab, and I will shout in sorrow for all of Moab. I will lament for the people of Kir Hareseth.
32 O vreshtë e Sibmahut, unë qaj për ty ashtu si qahet për Jazerin; shermendet e tua kanë arritur matanë detit, arrinin deri në detin e Jazerit. Shkatërruesi i tij është sulur mbi frytet e tua verore dhe mbi rrushin që do vilej.
I will weep for you more than I did for Jazer, vine of Sibmah! Your branches passed across the Salt Sea and reached as far as Jazer. The destroyers have attacked your summer fruit and your wine.
33 Gëzimi dhe hareja janë zhdukur nga fusha pjellore dhe nga vendi i Moabit; bëra që të zhduket vera nga butet, askush nuk e shtrydh më rrushin me britma gëzimi, britmat e tyre nuk janë më britma gëzimi.
So celebration and rejoicing have been taken away from the fruit trees and the land of Moab. I have put an end to the wine from their winepresses. They will not tread with joyful shouts. Any shouts will not be shouts of joy.
34 Për shkak të britmës së Heshbonit zëri i tyre u dëgjua deri në Elealeh dhe në Jehats, nga Tsoari deri në Horonaim, ashtu si një lopë trevjeçare; ujrat e Nimrimit madje janë bërë një shkreti.
From the shouts at Heshbon as far as Elealeh, their sound is heard at Jahaz, from Zoar to Horonaim and Eglath Shelishiyah, since even the waters of Nimrim have dried up.
35 Unë do të fik në Moab”, thotë Zoti, “atë që ofron flijime mbi vendet e larta dhe atë që u djeg temjan perëndive të tij.
For I will put an end to anyone in Moab who makes sacrifices on the high places and burns incense to his gods—this is Yahweh's declaration.
36 Prandaj zemra ime për Moabin do të qajë si fyejt, zemra ime do të qajë si fyejt për burrat e Kir-Heresit, sepse pasuria që kanë fituar ka humbur.
So my heart is lamenting for Moab like a flute. My heart is lamenting like flutes for the people of Kir Hareseth. The riches they gained are gone.
37 Sepse çdo kokë do të rruhet, çdo mjekër do të pritet, mbi të gjitha duart do të ketë të prera dhe mbi ijët do të jetë thesi.
For every head is bald and every beard shaved. Incisions are on every hand, and sackcloth is around their waists.
38 Mbi të gjitha çatitë e Moabit dhe në sheshet e tij s’ka veçse vajtim, sepse unë e kam bërë copë-copë Moabin, si një enë që nuk ka më vlerë”, thotë Zoti.
There is mourning everywhere, on every flat roof of Moab and in Moab's plazas. For I have destroyed Moab like pots that no one wants—this is Yahweh's declaration.
39 “Do të vajtojnë duke thënë: “Si u thye! Si ka kthyer Moabi paturpësisht kurrizin! Si është bërë Moabi tallja dhe frika e atyre që i rinë rrotull””.
How it has been shattered! How they howl in their lamenting! Moab turns its back in shame! So Moab will become an object of derision and a terror to all those who are around him.”
40 Sepse kështu thotë Zoti: “Ja, ai do të nisë fluturimin si një shqiponjë dhe do t’i hapë krahët e tij në drejtim të Moabit.
For Yahweh says this, “See, the enemy will come flying like an eagle, spreading out his wings over Moab.
41 Keriothi u pushtua, fortesat janë zënë dhe zemra e trimave të Moabit në atë ditë do të jetë si zemra e një gruaje në dhembjet e lindjes.
Kerioth has been captured, and its strongholds have been seized. For in that day the hearts of Moab's soldiers will be like the hearts of women in birth labor.
42 Moabi do të shkatërrohet, nuk do të jetë më popull, sepse është ngritur kundër Zotit.
So Moab will be destroyed and be no longer a people, because he made himself to be great against Yahweh.
43 Frika, gropa, laku të kërcënojnë, o banor i Moabit” thotë Zoti.
Terror and the pit, and a trap are coming on you, inhabitant of Moab—this is Yahweh's declaration.
44 “Kush ikën përpara frikës do të bjerë në gropë dhe kush del nga gropa do të kapet në lak, sepse unë do të sjell mbi të, mbi Moabin vitin e ndëshkimit të tij” thotë Zoti.
Anyone who flees because of terror will fall into the pit, and anyone who climbs out of the pit will be caught in the trap, for I will bring this on them in the year of my vengeance against them—this is Yahweh's declaration.
45 “Në hijen e Heshbonit ndalen, të kapitur, ikanakët, por një zjarr del nga Heshboni dhe një flakë nga mesi i Sihonit, që përpin anët e Moabit dhe pjesën e sipërme të kokës së njerëzve kryengritës.
The ones who flee will stand in the shadow of Heshbon without any strength, for fire will go out from Heshbon, flame from the middle of Sihon. It will devour the forehead of Moab and the top of the heads of the boastful people.
46 Mjerë ti, O Moab! Populli i Kemoshit është i humbur sepse bijtë e tu janë çuar në robëri dhe bijat e tua në mërgim.
Woe to you, Moab! Chemosh's people are destroyed, For your sons are taken as captives and your daughters into captivity.
47 Por unë do të kthej Moabin nga robëria gjatë ditëve të fundit, thotë Zoti”. Deri këtu gjykim mbi Moabin.
But I will restore the fortunes of Moab in later days—this is Yahweh's declaration.” The judgment on Moab ends here.
