Jeremia 37

1 Mbreti Sedekia, bir i Josias, që Nebukadnetsari, mbret i Babilonisë, e kishte bërë mbret në vendin e Judës, mbretëroi në vend të Koniahut, birit të Jehojakimit.

And kyng Sedechie, the sone of Josie, regnede for Jeconye, the sone of Joachym, whom Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, made kyng in the lond of Juda.

2 Por as ai, as shërbëtorët e tij, as populli i vendit nuk i dëgjuan fjalët që Zoti kishte shqiptuar me anë të profetit Jeremia.

And he, and hise seruauntis, and his puple obeieden not to the wordis of the Lord, whiche he spak in the hond of Jeremye, the profete.

3 Mbreti Sedekia dërgoi Jehukalin, birin e Shelemiahut, dhe priftin Sofoni, birin e Maasejahut, te profeti Jeremia për t’i thënë: “Oh, lutju për ne Zotit, Perëndisë tonë”.

And kyng Sedechie sente Jothal, the sone of Selemye, and Sofonye, the preest, the sone of Maasie, to Jeremye, the profete, and seide, Preie thou for vs oure Lord God.

4 Jeremia shkonte e vinte në popull, sepse akoma nuk e kishin shtënë në burg.

Forsothe Jeremye yede freli in the myddis of the puple; for thei hadden not sente hym in to the kepyng of the prisoun.

5 Ndërkohë ushtria e Faraonit kishte dalë nga Egjipti; sapo Kaldeasit që rrethonin Jeruzalemin e mësuan këtë lajm, u larguan nga Jeruzalemi.

Therfor the oost of Farao yede out of Egipt, and Caldeis, that bisegiden Jerusalem, herden sich a message, and yeden awei fro Jerusalem.

6 Atëherë fjala e Zotit iu drejtua profetit Jeremia, duke thënë:

And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye, the profete,

7 “Kështu thotë Zoti, Perëndia i Izraelit: Do t’i thoni kështu mbretit të Judës që ju ka dërguar për t’u konsultuar me mua: Ja, ushtria e Faraonit, që kishte dalë për t’ju ndihmuar, do të kthehet në vendin e vet, në Egjipt.

and seide, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Thus ye schulen seie to the kyng of Juda, that sente you to axe me, Lo! the oost of Farao, which yede out to you in to help, schal turne ayen in to his lond, in to Egipt.

8 Kaldeasit do të kthehen dhe do të luftojnë kundër këtij qyteti, do ta shtien në dorë dhe do ti vënë flakën”.

And Caldeis schulen come ayen, and schulen fiyte ayens this citee, and schulen take it, and schulen brenne it bi fier.

9 Kështu thotë Zoti: “Mos gënjeni veten duke thënë: “Kaldeasit do të ikin me siguri nga ne”, sepse nuk do të ikin.

The Lord seith these thingis, Nyle ye disseyue youre soulis, seiynge, Caldeis goynge schulen go a wey, and schulen departe fro vs; for thei schulen not go a wei.

10 Edhe sikur të arrini ta mundni tërë ushtrinë e Kaldeasve që luftojnë kundër jush dhe të mbeteshin vetëm disa të plagosur, këta do të ngriheshin secili në çadrën e vet dhe do t’i vinin flakën këtij qyteti”.

But thouy ye sleen al the oost of Caldeis, that fiyten ayens you, and summe woundid men of hem be left, ech man schal rise fro his tente, and thei schulen brenne this citee bi fier.

11 Ndodhi që, kur ushtria e Kaldeasve u largua nga Jeruzalemi për shkak të ushtrisë së Faraonit,

Therfor whanne the oost of Caldeis hadde goon awei fro Jerusalem, for the oost of Farao, Jeremye yede out of Jerusalem,

12 Jeremia doli nga Jeruzalemi për të shkuar në vendin e Beniaminit për të marrë pjesën e tij të trashëgimisë në mes të popullit.

to go in to the lond of Beniamyn, and to departe there the possessioun in the siyt of citeseyns.

13 Por, kur arriti te porta e Beniaminit, ku ishte një kapiten roje që quhej Irijah, biri i Shelemiahut, bir i Hananiahut, ky e arrestoi profetin Jeremia, duke thënë: “Ti je bërë me Kaldeasit”.

And whanne he was comun to the yate of Beniamyn, ther was a kepere of the yate bi whiles, Jerie bi name, the sone of Selemye, sone of Ananye; and he took Jeremye, the prophete, and seide, Thou fleest to Caldeis.

14 Jeremia u përgjigj “Nuk është e vërtetë, unë nuk po bëhem me Kaldeasit”, por ai nuk ia vuri veshin. Kështu Irijahu e arrestoi Jeremian dhe e çoi te princat.

And Jeremye answeride, It is fals; Y fle not to Caldeis. And he herde not Jeremye, but Jerie took Jeremye, and brouyte hym to the princes.

15 Princat u zemëruan me Jeremian, e rrahën dhe e futën në burg në shtëpinë e shkruesit Jonathan të cilën e kishin kthyer në burg.

Wherfor the princes weren wrooth ayens Jeremye, and beeten hym, and senten hym in to the prisoun, that was in the hous of Jonathas, the scryuen; for he was souereyn on the prisoun.

16 Kur Jeremia hyri në shtëpinë e burgut të nëndheshëm, në qeli, mbeti aty shumë ditë.

Therfor Jeremye entride in to the hous of the lake, and in to the prisoun of trauel; and Jeremye sat there manye daies.

17 Pastaj mbreti Sedekia dërgoi ta marrin, e pyeti fshehurazi në shtëpinë e tij dhe i tha: “A ka ndonjë fjalë nga ana e Zotit?”. Jeremia u përgjigj: “Po, ka”. Dhe shtoi: “Ti do të jepesh në dorë të mbretit të Babilonisë”.

Therfor kyng Sedechie sente, and took hym a wei, and axide hym priuyli in his hous, and seide, Gessist thou, whether a word is of the Lord? And Jeremye seide, Ther is. And Jeremye seide, Thou schalt be bitakun in to the hond of the kyng of Babiloyne.

18 Përveç kësaj Jeremia i tha mbretit Sedekia: “Çfarë faji kam kryer kundër teje, kundër shërbëtorëve të tu ose kundër këtij populli, që më fute në burg?

And Jeremye seide to Sedechie, the kyng, What haue Y synned to thee, and to thi seruauntis, and to thi puple, for thou hast sent me in to the hous of prisoun?

19 Ku janë tani profetët tuaj që ju profetizonin duke thënë: “Mbreti i Babilonisë nuk do të vijë kundër jush as kundër këtij vendi”?

Where ben youre profetis, that profesieden to you, and seiden, The king of Babiloyne schal not come on you, and on this lond?

20 Tani dëgjo, të lutem, o mbret imzot, lutja ime të jetë e pëlqyer para teje dhe mos më kthe në shtëpinë e shkruesit Jonathan, që të mos vdes atje”.

Now therfor, my lord the kyng, Y biseche, here thou, my preier be worth in thi siyt, and sende thou not me ayen in to the hous of Jonathas, the scryuen, lest Y die there.

21 Atëherë mbreti Sedekia urdhëroi që Jeremia të ruhej në oborrin e burgut dhe t’i jepej çdo ditë një copë bukë nga rruga e furrtarëve, deri sa të mbarohej gjithë buka e qytetit. Kështu Jeremia mbeti në oborrin e burgut.

Therfor Sedechie comaundide, that Jeremye schulde be bitakun in to the porche of the prisoun, and that a cake of breed schulde be youun to hym ech dai, outakun seew, til alle looues of the citee weren wastid; and Jeremye dwellide in the porche of the prisoun.
