Isaia 3

1 Ja, Perëndia, Zoti i ushtrive, është duke i hequr Jeruzalemit dhe Judës çdo mbështetje dhe përkrahje, çdo mbështjetje me bukë dhe çdo mbështetje me ujë;

Behold now, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will take away from Jerusalem and from Judea the mighty man and mighty woman, the strength of bread, and the strength of water,

2 trimin dhe luftëtarin, gjyqtarin dhe profetin, falltarin dhe plakun,

the great and mighty man, the warrior and the judge, and the prophet, and the counsellor, and the elder,

3 komandantin e një pesëdhjetësheje dhe parinë, këshilltarin, ekspertin në artet magjike dhe yshtësin e shkathët.

the captain of fifty also, and the honourable counsellor, and the wise artificer, and the intelligent hearer.

4 Do t’u jap atyre djem si princa dhe fëmijë do t’i sundojnë.

And I will make youths their princes, and mockers shall have dominion over them.

5 Populli do të jetë i shtypur, njeri nga tjetri, dhe secili nga i afërmi i tij; fëmija do të jetë i pasjellshëm me plakun, njeriu i keq me njeriun e nderuar.

And the people shall fall, man upon man, and [every] man upon his neighbor: the child shall insult the elder man, and the base the honourable.

6 Dikush do të kapë vëllanë e vet në shtëpinë e atit të tij dhe do t’i thotë: “Ti ke një mantel, bëhu i pari ynë dhe kujdesu për këtë shkatërrim”.

For a man shall lay hold of his brother, as one of his father's household, saying, Thou hast raiment, be thou our ruler, and let my meat be under thee.

7 Por atë ditë ai do të deklarojë solemnisht duke thënë: “Unë nuk do t’i lidh plagët tuaja, sepse në shtëpinë time nuk ka as bukë as mantel; mos më vini të parë të popullit”.

And he shall answer in that day, and say, I will not be thy ruler; for I have no bread in my house, nor raiment: I will not be the ruler of this people.

8 Në fakt Jeruzalemi dridhet dhe Juda po bie, sepse gjuha e tyre dhe veprat e tyre janë kundër Zotit, për të provokuar zemërimin e vështrimit të madhërisë së tij.

For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judea has fallen, and their tongues [have spoken] with iniquity, disobedient [as they are] towards the Lord.

9 Anësia e tyre me personat dëshmon kundër tyre, ata vënë në dukje mëkatin e tyre si Sodoma dhe nuk e fshehin. Mjerë ata, sepse i bëjnë keq vetes së tyre.

Wherefore now their glory has been brought low, and the shame of their countenance has withstood them, and they have proclaimed their sin as Sodom, and made it manifest.

10 I thoni të drejtit se do t’i dalë mirë, sepse do të hajë frytin e veprave të tij.

Woe to their soul, for they have devised an evil counsel against themselves, saying against themselves, Let us bind the just, for he is burdensome to us: therefore shall they eat the fruits of their works.

11 Mjerë i pabesi! Do t’i bjerë mbi kokë fatkeqësia, sepse do t’i jepet ajo që duart e tij kanë përgatitur.

Woe to the transgressor! evils shall happen to him according to the works of his hands.

12 Shtypësit e popullit tim janë fëmijë, dhe gratë sundojnë mbi të. O populli im, ata që të udhëheqin të çojnë jashtë rruge dhe shkatërrojnë shtegun që ti përshkon.

O my people, your exactors strip you, and extortioners rule over you: O my people, they that pronounce you blesses lead you astray, and pervert the path of your feet.

13 Zoti paraqitet për të paditur dhe zë vend për të gjykuar popujt.

But now the Lord will stand up for judgment, and will enter into judgment with his people.

14 Zoti hyn në gjyq me pleqtë e popullit të tij dhe me princat e tij: “Jeni ju që e keni përpirë vreshtin; trupat pa jetë të të varfërve ndodhen në shtëpitë tuaja.

The Lord himself shall enter into judgment with the elders of the people, and with their rulers: but why have ye set my vineyard on fire, and [why is] the spoil of the poor in your houses?

15 Çfarë të drejte keni të merrni nëpër këmbë popullin tim dhe të shtypni fytyrën e të varfërve?”, thotë Perëndia, Zoti i ushtrive.

Why do ye wrong my people, and shame the face of the poor?

16 Zoti thotë akoma: “Me qenë se vajzat e Sionit janë fodulle dhe ecin qafëpërpjetë dhe me vështrime provokuese, duke ecur me hapa të vogla dhe duke bërë të tringëllojnë unazat që mbajnë te këmbët e tyre,

Thus saith the Lord, Because the daughters of Sion are haughty, and have walked with an outstretched neck, and with winking of the eyes, and motion of the feet, at the same time drawing their garments in trains, and at the same time sporting with their feet:

17 Zoti do të godasë me zgjebe majën e kokës së vajzave të Sionit dhe Zoti do të nxjerrë në shesh turpet e tyre”.

therefore the Lord will humble the chief daughters of Sion, and the Lord will expose their form in that day;

18 Atë ditë Zoti do të heqë stolinë e unazave të kyçeve të këmbës, diejtë e vegjël dhe hënëzat,

and the Lord will take away the glory of their raiment, the curls and the fringes, and the crescents,

19 vathët, byzylykët dhe velot,

and the chains, and the ornaments of their faces,

20 çallmat, zinxhirët e vegjël te këmbët, rrypat e brezit, enët e parfumeve dhe hajmalitë,

and the array of glorious ornaments, and the armlets, and the bracelets, and the wreathed work, and the finger-rings, and the ornaments for the right hand,

21 unazat, xhevahiret për hundë,

and the ear-rings, and the garments with scarlet borders, and the garments with purple grounds, and the shawls to be worn in the house, and the Spartan transparent dresses, and those made of fine linen, and the purple [ones], and the scarlet [ones], and the fine linen, interwoven with gold and purple, and the light coverings for couches.

22 rrobat për festë, mantelet e vogla, shallët dhe çantat e vogla,

And there shall be instead of a sweet smell, dust; and instead of a girdle, thou shalt gird thyself with a rope; and instead of a golden ornament for the head, thou shalt have baldness on account of thy works; and instead of a tunic with a scarlet ground, thou shalt gird thyself with sackcloth.

23 pasqyrat, këmishëzat, kapuçët dhe robëdëshambrët.

And thy most beautiful son whom thou lovest shall fall by the sword; and your mighty men shall fall by the sword, and shall be brought low.

24 Dhe do të ndodhë që në vend të parfumit të ketë kalbësira, në vend të brezit një litar, në vend të kaçurelave shogësi, në vend të një veshjeje të kushtueshme një thes i ngushtë, një damkë zjarri në vend të bukurisë.

And the stores of your ornaments shall mourn, and thou shalt be left alone, and shalt be levelled with the ground.

25 Njerëzit e tu do të bien nga shpata, dhe trimat e tu në betejë.

26 Portat e saj do të vajtojnë dhe do të mbajnë zi; e dëshpëruar ajo do të ulet për tokë.
