1 Izraeli, pra, u nis me të gjitha ato që kishte dhe, kur arriti në Beer-Sheba, i bëri fli Perëndisë të atit të tij Isak.
And Israel departed, he and all that he had, and came to the well of the oath; and he offered sacrifice to the God of his father Isaac.
2 Dhe Perëndia i foli Izraelit në vegime nate dhe tha: “Jakob, Jakob!”. Ai u përgjegj: “Ja ku jam”.
And God spoke to Israel in a night vision, saying, Jacob, Jacob; and he said, What is it?
3 Atëherë Perëndia tha: “Unë jam Perëndia, Perëndia i atit tënd; mos ki frikë të zbresësh në Egjipt, sepse aty do të të bëj një komb të madh.
And he says to him, I am the God of your fathers; fear not to go down into Egypt, for I will make you there a great nation.
4 Unë do të zbres bashkë me ty në Egjipt dhe do të bëj që sigurisht të kthehesh, dhe Jozefi do të t’i mbyllë sytë”.
And I will go down with you into Egypt, and I will bring you up at the end; and Joseph shall put his hands on your eyes.
5 Atëherë Jakobi u nis nga Beer-Sheba dhe bijtë e Izraelit e hipën Jakobin, atin e tyre, fëmijët e vegjël dhe gratë e tyre mbi qerret që Faraoni kishte dërguar për t’i mbartur.
And Jacob rose up from the well of the oath; and the sons of Israel took up their father, and the baggage, and their wives on the waggons, which Joseph sent to take them.
6 Kështu ata morën me vete bagëtinë dhe sendet që kishin blerë në vendin e Kanaanit dhe erdhën në Egjipt. Éshtë fjala për Jakobin me tërë pasardhësit e tij.
And they took up their goods, and all their property, which they had gotten in the land of Chanaan; they came into the land of Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him.
7 Ai mori me vete në Egjipt bijtë e tij, bijtë e bijve të tij, bijat e tij dhe bijat e bijve të tij dhe tërë pasardhësit e tij.
The sons, and the sons of his sons with him; [his] daughters, and the daughters of his daughters; and he brought all his seed into Egypt.
8 Këta janë emrat e bijve të Izraelit që erdhën në Egjipt: Jakobi dhe bijtë e tij. I parëlinduri i Jakobit: Rubeni.
And these are the names of the sons of Israel that went into Egypt with their father Jacob—Jacob and his sons. The firstborn of Jacob, Ruben.
9 Bijtë e Rubenit: Hanoku, Pallu, Hetsroni dhe Karmi
And the sons of Ruben; Enoch, and Phallus, Asron, and Charmi.
10 Bijtë e Simeonit: Jemueli, Jamini, Ohadi, Jakini, Tsohari dhe Sauli, biri i një Kananease.
and the sons of Symeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Aod, and Achin, and Saar, and Saul, the son of a Chananitish woman.
11 Bijtë e Levit: Gershomi, Kehathi dhe Merari.
And the sons of Levi; Gerson, Cath, and Merari.
12 Bijtë e Judës: Eri, Onani, Shelahu, Peretsi dhe Zerahu; (por Eri dhe Onani vdiqën në vendin e Kanaanit). Bijtë e Peretsit qenë: Hetsroni dhe Hamuli.
And the sons of Judas; Er, and Aunan, and Selom, and Phares, and Zara: and Er and Aunan died in the land of Chanaan.
13 Bijtë e Isakarit: Tola, Puvahu, Jobi dhe Shimroni.
And the sons of Phares [were] Esron, and Jemuel. And the sons of Issachar; Thola, and Phua, and Asum, and Sambran.
14 Bijtë e Zabulonit: Seredi, Eloni dhe Jahleeli.
And the sons of Zabulun, Sered, and Allon, and Achoel.
15 Këta qenë bijtë që Lea i lindi Jakobit në Padan-Aram, përveç bijës së saj Dina. Bijtë dhe bijat e saj ishin gjithsej tridhjetë e tre veta.
These [are] the sons of Lea, which she bore to Jacob in Mesopotamia of Syria, and Dina his daughter; all the souls, sons and daughters, thirty-three.
16 Bijtë e Gadit: Tsifioni, Haxhi, Shuni, Etsboni, Eri, Arodi dhe Areli.
And the sons of Gad; Saphon, and Angis, and Sannis, and Thasoban, and Aedis, and Aroedis, and Areelis.
17 Bijtë e Asherit: Jmna, Jshua, Jshni, Beriahu dhe Serahu motra e tyre. Dhe bijtë e Beriahut: Heberi dhe Malkieli.
And the sons of Aser; Jemna, Jessua, and Jeul, and Baria, and Sara their sister. And the sons of Baria; Chobor, and Melchiil.
18 Këta qenë bijtë e Zilpahut që Labano i kishte dhënë bijës së tij Lea; dhe ajo i lindi Jakobit: gjithsej gjashtëmbëdhjetë veta.
These [are] the sons of Zelpha, which Laban gave to his daughter Lea, who bore these to Jacob, sixteen souls.
19 Bijtë e Rakelës, gruas së Jakobit: Jozefi dhe Beniamini.
And the sons of Rachel, the wife of Jacob; Joseph, and Benjamin.
20 Dhe Jozefi në vendin e Egjiptit, i lindën Manasi dhe Efraimi. Nëna e tyre ishte Asenathi, e bija e Potiferahut, prift i Onit.
And there were sons born to Joseph in the land of Egypt, whom Aseneth, the daughter of Petephres, priest of Heliopolis, bore to him, [even] Manasses and Ephraim. And there were sons born to Manasses, which the Syrian concubine bore to him, [even] Machir. And Machir begot Galaad. And the sons of Ephraim, the brother of Manasses; Sutalaam, and Taam. And the sons of Sutalaam; Edom.
21 Bijtë e Beniaminit: Belahu, Bekeri, Ashbeli, Gerau, Naamani, Ehi, Roshi, Mupimi, Hupimi dhe Ardi.
and the sons of Benjamin; Bala, and Bochor, and Asbel. And the sons of Bala were Gera, and Noeman, and Anchis, and Ros, and Mamphim. And Gera begot Arad.
22 Këta qenë bijtë e Rakelës që i lindën Jakobit: gjithsej katërmbëdhjetë veta.
These [are] the sons of Rachel, which she bore to Jacob; all the souls eighteen.
23 Biri i Danit: Hushimi.
And the sons of Dan; Asom.
24 Bijtë e Neftalisë: Jahtseeli, Guni, Jetseri dhe Shilemi.
And the sons of Nephthalim; Asiel, and Goni, and Issaar, and Sollem.
25 Këta qenë bijtë e Bilhahut, që Labano ia kishte dhënë bijës së tij Rakela dhe që kjo ia lindi Jakobit: gjithsej shtatë veta.
These [are] the sons of Balla, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel, who bore these to Jacob; all the souls, seven.
26 Njerëzit që erdhën me Jakobin në Egjipt, pasardhës të tij, pa llogaritur gratë e bijve të Jakobit, ishin gjithsej gjashtëdhjetë e gjashtë veta.
And all the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, who came out of his loins, besides the wives of the sons of Jacob, [even] all the souls were sixty-six.
27 Bijtë e Jozefit, që i lindën në Egjipt, ishin dy. Tërë personat e familjes së Jakobit që erdhën në Egjipt ishin gjithsej shtatëdhjetë veta.
And the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in the land of Egypt, were nine souls; all the souls of the house of Jacob who came with Joseph into Egypt, were seventy-five souls.
28 Por Jakobi dërgoi para tij Judën me qëllim që ta fuste në vendin e Goshenit. Dhe kështu ata arritën në vendin e Goshenit.
And he sent Judas before him to Joseph, to meet him to the city of Heroes, into the land of Ramesses.
29 Atëherë Jozefi e mbrehu qerren e tij dhe mori të përpjetën për në Goshen që të takonte Izraelin, atin e tij; sa e pa, iu hodh në qafë dhe qau gjatë i shtrënguar pas tij.
And Joseph having made ready his chariots, went up to meet Israel his father, at the city of Heroes; and having appeared to him, fell on his neck, and wept with abundant weeping.
30 Dhe Izraeli i tha Jozefit: “Tani le të vdes, sepse pashë fytyrën tënde dhe ti je akoma gjallë”.
And Israel said to Joseph, After this I will [gladly] die, since I have seen your face, for you are yet living.
31 Atëherë Jozefi u tha vëllezërve të tij dhe familjes të atit të tij: “Do të ngjitem për ta njoftuar Faraonin dhe do t’i them: “Vëllezërit e mi dhe familja e atit tim, që ishin në vendin e Kanaanit, kanë ardhur tek unë.
And Joseph said to his brethren, I will go up and tell Pharao, and will say to him, My brethren, and my father's house, who were in the land of Chanaan, are come to me.
32 Ata janë barinj, sepse kanë qenë gjithnjë rritës bagëtish, dhe kanë sjellë me vete kopetë e tyre dhe gjithçka zotërojnë”.
And the men are shepherds; for they have been feeders of cattle, and they have brought with them their cattle, and their kine, and all their property.
33 Kur Faraoni do t’ju thërrasë dhe do t’ju thotë: “Me ç’punë merreni?”, ju do t’i përgjigjeni:
If then Pharao call you, and say to you, What is you occupation?
34 “Shërbëtorët e tu kanë qënë rritës bagëtish nga fëmijëria e deri sot, si ne ashtu dhe etërit tanë”, që të keni mundësi të banoni në vendin e Goshenit. Sepse Egjiptasit ndiejnë neveri për tërë barinjtë”.
You shall say, We your servants are herdsmen from our youth until now, both we and our fathers: that you may dwell in the land of Gesem of Arabia, for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.
