1 Por ndodhi një mungesë ushqimesh në vend, përveç asaj të parës që kishte ndodhur në kohën e Abrahamit. Pastaj Isaku shkoi tek Abimeleku, mbreti i Filistejve në Gerar.

and to be famine in/on/with land: country/planet from to/for alone: besides [the] famine [the] first: previous which to be in/on/with day Abraham and to go: went Isaac to(wards) Abimelech king Philistine Gerar [to]

2 Atëherë Zoti iu shfaq dhe i tha: “Mos zbrit në Egjipt, qëndro në vendin që do të të them.

and to see: see to(wards) him LORD and to say not to go down Egypt [to] to dwell in/on/with land: country/planet which to say to(wards) you

3 Qëndro në këtë vend dhe unë do të jem me ty dhe do të të bekoj, sepse kam për të të dhënë ty dhe pasardhësve të tu tërë këto vende dhe do ta mbaj betimin që i kam bërë Abrahamit, babait tënd,

to sojourn in/on/with land: country/planet [the] this and to be with you and to bless you for to/for you and to/for seed: children your to give: give [obj] all [the] land: country/planet [the] these and to arise: establish [obj] [the] oath which to swear to/for Abraham father your

4 dhe do t’i shumoj pasardhësit e tu si yjet e qiellit; do t’u jap atyre tërë këto vende, dhe të gjitha kombet e tokës do të bekohen te pasardhësit e tu,

and to multiply [obj] seed: children your like/as star [the] heaven and to give: give to/for seed: children your [obj] all [the] land: country/planet [the] these and to bless in/on/with seed: children your all nation [the] land: country/planet

5 sepse Abrahami iu bind vullnetit tim dhe respektoi urdhërat, urdhërimet, statutet dhe ligjet e mia”.

consequence which to hear: obey Abraham in/on/with voice my and to keep: obey charge my commandment my statute my and instruction my

6 Kështu Isaku qëndroi në Gerar.

and to dwell Isaac in/on/with Gerar

7 Kur njerëzit e vendit i bënin pyetje rreth gruas së tij, ai u përgjigjej: “Éshtë motra ime”, sepse kishte frikë të thoshte: “Éshtë gruaja ime”, sepse mendonte: “Njerëzit e vendit mund të më vrasin për shkak të Rebekës, sepse ajo është e pashme”.

and to ask human [the] place to/for woman: wife his and to say sister my he/she/it for to fear to/for to say woman: wife my lest to kill me human [the] place upon Rebekah for pleasant appearance he/she/it

8 Kur kishte kaluar një kohë e gjatë në atë vend, Abimelekut, mbretit të Filistejve, i rastisi të shikojë nga dritarja dhe pa Isakun që përkëdhelte Rebekën, gruan e tij.

and to be for to prolong to/for him there [the] day and to look Abimelech king Philistine about/through/for [the] window and to see: see and behold Isaac to laugh with Rebekah woman: wife his

9 Atëherë Abimeleku thiri Isakun dhe i tha: “Ajo është me siguri gruaja jote; si bëhet që ti the: “Ajo është motra ime”?”. Isaku iu përgjegj: “Sepse thoja: “Nuk do të doja të vdes për shkak të saj””.

and to call: call to Abimelech to/for Isaac and to say surely behold woman: wife your he/she/it and how? to say sister my he/she/it and to say to(wards) him Isaac for to say lest to die upon her

10 Abimeleku tha: “Ç’është kjo që na bëre? Ndokush nga populli mund të binte lehtë në shtrat me gruan tënde dhe ti do të na kishe ngarkuar me faj të rëndë”.

and to say Abimelech what? this to make: do to/for us like/as little to lie down: have sex one [the] people [obj] woman: wife your and to come (in): bring upon us guilt (offering)

11 Kështu Abimeleku i dha këtë urdhër tërë popullit: “Kushdo që prek këtë njeri ose të shoqen do të dënohet pa tjetër me vdekje”.

and to command Abimelech [obj] all [the] people to/for to say [the] to touch in/on/with man [the] this and in/on/with woman: wife his to die to die

12 Isaku mbolli në atë vend dhe po atë vit korri një prodhim njëqind herë më të madh; dhe Zoti e bekoi.

and to sow Isaac in/on/with land: country/planet [the] he/she/it and to find in/on/with year [the] he/she/it hundred hundredfold and to bless him LORD

13 Ky njeri u bë i madh dhe vazhdoi të rritet deri sa u bë jashtëzakonisht i madh.

and to magnify [the] man and to go: continue to go: continue and growing till for to magnify much

14 Ai arriti të zotërojë kope dhënsh dhe qesh dhe kishte një numër të madh shërbëtorësh. Kështu Filistejtë e patën zili,

and to be to/for him livestock flock and livestock cattle and service many and be jealous [obj] him Philistine

15 dhe për këtë arësye i zunë, duke i mbushur me dhe, tërë puset që shërbëtorët e babait të tij kishin hapur në kohën e Abrahamit, atit të tij.

and all [the] well which to search servant/slave father his in/on/with day Abraham father his to close them Philistine and to fill them dust

16 Atëherë Abimeleku i tha Isakut: “Largohu nga ne, sepse ti je shumë më i fuqishëm se ne”.

and to say Abimelech to(wards) Isaac to go: went from from with us for be vast from us much

17 Kështu Isaku u largua që andej dhe u vendos në luginën e Gerarit, dhe aty banoi.

and to go: went from there Isaac and to camp in/on/with torrent: valley Gerar and to dwell there

18 Dhe Isaku filloi të hapë puse uji që ishin hapur në kohën e Abrahamit, atit të tij, dhe që Filistejtë i kishin mbyllur mbas vdekjes së Abrahamit, dhe u vuri po ato emra që u kishte vënë babai i tij.

and to return: again Isaac and to search [obj] well [the] water which to search in/on/with day Abraham father his and to close them Philistine after death Abraham and to call: call by to/for them name like/as name which to call: call by to/for them father his

19 Pastaj shërbëtorët e Isakut gërmuan në luginë dhe gjetën aty një pus me ujë të freskët.

and to search servant/slave Isaac in/on/with torrent: valley and to find there well water alive

20 Por barinjtë e Gerarit u grindën me çobanët e Isakut, duke u thënë: “Uji është yni”. Dhe ai e quajti pusin Esek, sepse ata e kishin kundërshtuar.

and to contend to pasture Gerar with to pasture Isaac to/for to say to/for us [the] water and to call: call by name [the] well Esek for to contend with him

21 Shërbëtorët hapën pastaj një pus tjetër, por ata kundërshtuan edhe për këtë. Dhe Isaku e quajti Sitnah.

and to search well another and to contend also upon her and to call: call by name her Sitnah

22 Atëherë ai u largua që andej dhe hapi një pus tjetër për të cilin nuk pati kundërshtim. Dhe ai e quajti atë Rehoboth, sepse ai tha: “Tani Zoti na ka vënë larg dhe ne do të kemi mbarësi në këtë vend”.

and to proceed from there and to search well another and not to contend upon her and to call: call by name her Rehoboth and to say for now to enlarge LORD to/for us and be fruitful in/on/with land: country/planet

23 Pastaj së këtejmi Isaku u ngjit në Beer-Sheba.

and to ascend: rise from there Beersheba Beersheba

24 Dhe Zoti iu shfaq po atë natë dhe i tha: “Unë jam Perëndia i Abrahamit, babait tënd; mos ki frikë, sepse unë jam me ty; do të të bekoj dhe do të shumoj pasardhësit e tu, për hir të Abrahamit, shërbëtorit tim”.

and to see: see to(wards) him LORD in/on/with night [the] he/she/it and to say I God Abraham father your not to fear for with you I and to bless you and to multiply [obj] seed: children your in/on/with for the sake of Abraham servant/slave my

25 Atëherë ai ndërtoi në atë vend një altar dhe përmendi emrin e Zotit, dhe po aty ai ngriti edhe çadrën e tij. Aty shërbëtorët e Isakut hapën një pus.

and to build there altar and to call: call to in/on/with name LORD and to stretch there tent his and to pierce there servant/slave Isaac well

26 Pastaj Abimeleku nga Gerari shkoi tek ai bashkë me Ahucathin, mikun e tij, dhe me Pikolin, kreun e ushtrisë së tij.

and Abimelech to go: went to(wards) him from Gerar and Ahuzzath companion his and Phicol ruler army his

27 Dhe Isaku u tha atyre: “Pse keni ardhur tek unë, për deri sa më urreni dhe më keni larguar prej jush?”.

and to say to(wards) them Isaac why? to come (in): come to(wards) me and you(m. p.) to hate [obj] me and to send: depart me from with you

28 Atëherë ata u përgjigjën: “Ne e pamë qartë që Zoti është me ty. Kështu thamë: “Le të bëjmë një betim midis nesh, midis nesh dhe teje, dhe të përfundojmë një aleancë me ty”:

and to say to see: see to see: see for to be LORD with you and to say to be please oath between us between us and between you and to cut: make(covenant) covenant with you

29 dhe kështu ti nuk do të na bësh asnjë të keqe, ashtu si ne nuk të kemi prekur, nuk të kemi bërë veçse të mira dhe të kemi lënë të ikësh në paqe. Ti je tani i bekuari i Zotit”.

if: surely yes to make: do with us distress: harm like/as as which not to touch you and like/as as which to make: do with you except good and to send: depart you in/on/with peace you(m. s.) now to bless LORD

30 Kështu Isaku shtroi për ta një banket dhe ata hëngrën e pinë.

and to make to/for them feast and to eat and to drink

31 Të nesërmen në mëngjes u ngritën herët dhe shkëmbyen një betim. Pastaj Isaku i përcolli dhe ata ikën në paqe.

and to rise in/on/with morning and to swear man: anyone to/for brother: male-sibling his and to send: depart them Isaac and to go: went from with him in/on/with peace

32 Po atë ditë ndodhi që shërbëtorët e Isakut erdhën për ta lajmëruar për pusin që kishin hapur duke i thënë: “Kemi gjetur ujë”.

and to be in/on/with day [the] he/she/it and to come (in): come servant/slave Isaac and to tell to/for him upon because [the] well which to search and to say to/for him to find water

33 Dhe ai e quajti atë Shibah. Për këtë arësye qyteti mban emrin Beer-Sheba edhe sot e kësaj dite.

and to call: call by [obj] her Shibah upon so name [the] city Beersheba Beersheba till [the] day: today [the] this

34 Në moshën dyzetvjeçare Esau mori për grua Juditin, të bijën e Beerit, Hiteut dhe të Basemathit, bijë e Elonit, Hiteut.

and to be Esau son: aged forty year and to take: marry woman: wife [obj] Judith daughter Beeri [the] Hittite and [obj] Basemath daughter Elon [the] Hittite

35 Këto u bënë shkas për një hidhërim të thellë të Isakut dhe të Rebekës.

and to be bitterness spirit to/for Isaac and to/for Rebekah
