Zanafilla 21
1 Zoti vizitoi Sarën, siç i kishte thënë; dhe Zoti i bëri Sarës ato që i kishte premtuar.
Adonai visited Sarah [Princess] as he had said, and Adonai did to Sarah [Princess] as he had spoken.
2 Dhe Sara u ngjiz dhe lindi një djalë me Abrahamin në pleqërinë e tij, në kohën e caktuar që Perëndia i kishte thënë.
Sarah [Princess] conceived, and bore Abraham [Father of a multitude] a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
3 Dhe Abrahami ia vuri emrin Isak birit që i kishte lindur dhe që Sara kishte pjellë.
Abraham [Father of a multitude] called his son who was born to him, whom Sarah [Princess] bore to him, Isaac [Laughter].
4 Pastaj Abrahami e rrethpreu birin e tij Isak kur ishte tetë ditësh, ashtu siç e kishte urdhëruar Perëndia.
Abraham [Father of a multitude] circumcised his son, Isaac [Laughter], when he was eight days old, as God had enjoined him.
5 Por Abrahami ishte njëqind vjeç, kur i lindi biri i tij Isaku.
Abraham [Father of a multitude] was one hundred years old when his son, Isaac [Laughter], was born to him.
6 Dhe Sara tha: “Perëndia më ka dhënë çka duhet për të qeshur, kushdo që do ta dëgjojë ka për të qeshur bashkë me mua”.
Sarah [Princess] said, “God has made me laugh. Everyone who sh'ma ·hears obeys· will laugh with me.”
7 Dhe tha gjithashtu: “Kush mund t’i thoshte Abrahamit që Sara do të mëndte fëmijë? Sepse unë i linda një djalë në pleqërinë e tij”.
She said, “Who would have said to Abraham [Father of a multitude], that Sarah [Princess] would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.”
8 Kështu, pra, fëmija u rrit dhe u zvordh; dhe ditën që Isaku u zvordh Abrahami shtroi një gosti të madhe.
The child grew, and was cameled. Abraham [Father of a multitude] made a great feast on the day that Isaac [Laughter] was cameled.
9 Tani Sara pa që djali që i kishte lindur Abrahamit nga Agari, egjiptasja, qeshte.
Sarah [Princess] saw the son of Hagar [Flight] the Egyptian [person from Abode of slavery], whom she had borne to Abraham [Father of a multitude], metzahek ·lewd and irreverent jokes·.
10 Atëherë ajo i tha Abrahamit: “Përzëre këtë shërbyese dhe birin e saj, sepse i biri i kësaj shërbyese nuk duhet të jetë trashëgimtar me birin tim, me Isakun”.
Therefore she said to Abraham [Father of a multitude], “Divorce and cast out this servant and her son! For the son of this servant will not be heir with my son, Isaac [Laughter].”
11 Kjo gjë s’i pëlqeu aspak Abrahamit, për shkak të djalit të tij.
The thing was very grievous in Abraham [Father of a multitude]’s sight on account of his son.
12 Por Perëndia i tha Abrahamit: “Mos u hidhëro për shkak të djalit dhe të shërbyeses sate; dëgjo tërë ato që të thotë Sara, sepse nga Isaku do të dalin pasardhës që do të mbajnë emrin tënd.
God said to Abraham [Father of a multitude], “Don’t let it be grievous in your sight because of the boy, and because of your servant. In all that Sarah [Princess] says to you, sh'ma ·hear obey· her voice. For your offspring will be accounted as from Isaac [Laughter].
13 Edhe nga djali i kësaj shërbyeses unë do të bëj një komb, sepse është një pasardhës i yt”.
I will also make a nation of the son of the servant, because he is your child.”
14 Abrahami u ngrit herët në mëngjes, mori bukë dhe një calik ujë dhe ia dha Agarit; vuri gjithçka mbi shpatullat e saj dhe e nisi bashkë me fëmijën. Kështu ajo u nis dhe filloi të bredhë nëpër shkretëtirën e Beer-Shebas.
Abraham [Father of a multitude] rose up early in the morning, and took bread and a bottle of water, and gave it to Hagar [Flight], putting it on her shoulder; and gave her the child, and sent her away. She departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Be'er-Sheva [Well of Seven, Well of an Oath].
15 Kur uji i calikut mbaroi, ajo e vuri fëmijën poshtë një kaçubeje.
The water in the bottle was spent, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.
16 Dhe shkoi e u ul përballë tij, në një largësi sa një goditje me hark, sepse thoshte: “Nuk dua ta shoh fëmijën të vdesë!” Kështu ajo u ul përballë tij, ngriti zërin dhe qau.
She went and sat down opposite him, a good way off, about a bow shot away. For she said, “Don’t let me see the death of the child.” She sat over against him, and lifted up her voice, and wept.
17 Dhe Perëndia dëgjoi zërin e djaloshit dhe engjëlli i Perëndisë thirri Agarin nga qielli dhe i tha: “Çfarë ke, Agar? Mos ki frikë, se Perëndia ka dëgjuar zërin e djaloshit aty ku ndodhet.
God sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the voice of the boy. Ha mal'ak Elohim [The Angel of God] called to Hagar [Flight] out of the sky, and said to her, “What ails you, Hagar [Flight]? Don’t be afraid. For God has sh'ma ·hear obey· the voice of the boy where he is.
18 Çohu, çoje djaloshin dhe mbaje fort me dorën tënde, sepse unë do të bëj prej tij një komb të madh”.
Get up, lift up the boy, and hold him in your hand. For I will make him a great nation.”
19 Atëherë Perëndia ia hapi sytë dhe ajo pa një pus uji: kështu vajti të mbushë calikun me ujë dhe i dha të pijë djaloshit.
God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. She went, filled the bottle with water, and gave the boy drink.
20 Dhe Perëndia qe me djaloshin; ai u rrit, banoi në shkretëtirë dhe u bë shenjëtar harku.
God was with the boy, and he grew. He lived in the wilderness, and became, as he grew up, an archer.
21 Ai banoi në shkretëtirën e Paranit dhe nëna e tij e martoi me një grua nga Egjipti.
He lived in the wilderness of Paran. His mother took a wife for him out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery].
22 Në atë kohë Abimeleku, së bashku me Pikolin, kreu i ushtrisë së tij, i foli Abrahamit duke i thënë: “Perëndia është me ty në tërë ato që bën;
At that time, Abimelech [My father king] and Phicol the captain of his army spoke to Abraham [Father of a multitude], saying, “God is with you in all that you do.
23 prandaj betohu këtu në emër të Perëndisë që ti s’ke për të gënjyer as mua, as bijtë e mi, as nipërit e mi, që ti do të përdorësh ndaj meje dhe vendit ku ke banuar si i huaj po atë dashamirësi që unë kam treguar ndaj teje”.
Now, therefore, swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son’s son. But according to the cheshed ·loving-kindness· that I have done to you, you shall do to me, and to the land in which you have lived as a foreigner.”
24 Abrahami u përgjegj: “Betohem”.
Abraham [Father of a multitude] said, “I will swear.”
25 Pastaj Abrahami e qortoi Abimelekun për shkak të një pusi uji që shërbyesit e Abimelekut e kishin shtënë në dorë.
Abraham [Father of a multitude] complained to Abimelech [My father king] because of a water well, which Abimelech [My father king]’s servants had violently taken away.
26 Abimeleku tha: “Unë nuk e di se kush e ka bërë këtë gjë; ti vetë nuk ma ke njoftuar dhe unë vetëm sot dëgjova të flitet për këtë ngjarje”.
Abimelech [My father king] said, “I don’t know who has done this thing. You didn’t tell me, and I didn’t sh'ma ·heard obeyed· of it until today.”
27 Atëherë Abrahami mori dele dhe qe dhe ia dha Abimelekut; dhe të dy lidhën aleancë.
Abraham [Father of a multitude] took sheep and cattle, and gave them to Abimelech [My father king]. Those two made a covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties·.
28 Pastaj Abrahami vuri mënjanë shtatë qengja femër të kopesë.
Abraham [Father of a multitude] set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.
29 Dhe Abimeleku i tha Abrahamit: “Ç’kuptim ka ajo që ke vënë shtatë qengja mënjanë?”.
Abimelech [My father king] said to Abraham [Father of a multitude], “What do these seven ewe lambs which you have set by themselves mean?”
30 Abrahami u përgjegj: “Ti do t’i pranosh nga dora ime këto shtatë qengja, me qëllim që kjo të më vlejë si dëshmi që unë e kam hapur këtë pus”.
He said, “You shall take these seven ewe lambs from my hand, that it may be a witness to me, that I have dug this well.”
31 Prandaj ai e quajti këtë vend Beer-Sheba, sepse aty që të dy ishin betuar.
Therefore he called that place Be'er-Sheva [Well of Seven, Well of an Oath], because they both swore there.
32 Kështu lidhën aleancë në Beer-Sheba. Pastaj Abimeleku dhe Pikoli, kreu i ushtrisë të tij, u ngritën dhe u kthyen në vendin e Filistejve.
So they made a covenant at Be'er-Sheva [Well of Seven, Well of an Oath]. Abimelech [My father king] rose up with Phicol, the captain of his army, and they returned into the land of the Philistines [To roll in dust (As an insult)].
33 Pastaj Abrahami mbolli një marinë në Beer-Sheba dhe aty thërriti emrin e Zotit, Perëndi i përjetësisë.
Abraham [Father of a multitude] planted a tamarisk tree in Be'er-Sheva [Well of Seven, Well of an Oath], and called there on the name of Adonai, the El 'Olam [God Everlasting].
34 Dhe Abrahami qëndroi si i huaj shumë kohë në vendin e Filistejve.
Abraham [Father of a multitude] lived as a foreigner in the land of the Philistines [To roll in dust (As an insult)] many days.
