Ligji i Përtërirë 24

1 “Kur një njeri merr një grua dhe martohet me të, dhe më vonë ndodh që ajo nuk e kënaq më, sepse ai ka gjetur në të diçka të turpshme, le të shkruajë një shkresë ndarjeje, t’ia japë në dorë dhe ta dëbojë nga shtëpia e saj;

If a man takith a wijf, and hath hir, and sche fyndith not grace bifor hise iyen for sum vilite, he schal write a `libel, ethir litil book, of forsakyng, and he schal yyue in `the hond of hir, and he schal delyuere hir fro his hows.

2 në qoftë se ajo del nga shtëpia e saj dhe bëhet bashkëshorte e një burri tjetër,

And whanne sche goith out, and weddith anothir hosebonde,

3 në rast se bashkëshorti i fundit fillon ta urrejë, ai shkruan për të një shkresë ndarjeje, ia jep në dorë dhe e dëbon nga shtëpia e tij, ose në se bashkëshorti i fundit që e kishte marrë për grua vdes,

and he also hatith hir, and yyueth to hir a `litil booke of forsakyng, and delyuereth hir fro his hows, ethir certis he is deed,

4 burri i parë që e kishte dëbuar nuk do të mund ta marrë përsëri për grua, pasi ajo është ndotur, sepse kemi të bëjmë me një akt të neveritshëm në sytë e Zotit; dhe ti nuk do ta njollosësh me mëkat vendin që Zoti, Perëndia yt, të jep si trashëgimi.

the formere hosebonde schal not mow resseyue hir in to wijf, for sche is defoulid, and maad abhomynable bifore the Lord; lest thou make thi lond to do synne, which lond thi Lord God yaf to thee to welde.

5 Në qoftë se një njeri është i porsamartuar, ai nuk do të shkojë në luftë dhe nuk do t’i ngarkohen detyra; ai do të jetë i lirë në shtëpinë e tij për një vit dhe do të bëjë të lumtur gruan me të cilën është martuar.

Whanne a man hath take late a wijf, he schal not go forth to batel, nethir ony thing of comyn nede schal be enioyned to hym, but he schal yyue tent with out blame to his hows, that he be glad in o yeer with his wijf.

6 Asnjeri nuk do të marrë peng gurin e mokrës së poshtme apo atë të sipërme, sepse do të ishte njëlloj siur të merrte peng jetën e dikujt.

Thou schalt not take in the stide of wed the lowere and the hiyere queerne stoon of thi brothir, for he puttide his lijf to thee.

7 Në rast se kapet një njeri duke rrëmbyer një nga vëllezërit e tij ndër bijtë e Izraelit, dhe e trajton keq dhe e shet, ai rrëmbyes do të vritet; kështu do ta shkulësh të keqen nga gjiri yt.

If a man is takun, `that is, conuyct in doom, bisili aspiynge to stele his brothir of the sones of Israel, and whanne he hath seeld hym, takith priys, he schal be slayn; and thou schalt do awey yuel fro the myddis of thee.

8 Në raste lebre trego kujdes të madh dhe bëj gjithçka t’ju mësojnë priftërinjtë levitë; do të keni kujdes të veproni ashtu siç i kam urdhëruar.

Kepe thou diligentli, lest thou renne in to the sijknesse of lepre, but thou schalt do what euer thingis the preestis of the kyn of Leuy techen thee, bi that that Y comaundide to hem, and `fille thou diligentli.

9 Mbaj mend atë që Zoti, Perëndia yt, i bëri Miriamit gjatë udhëtimit, mbas daljes suaj nga Egjipti.

Haue ye mynde what thingis youre Lord God dide to Marie, in the weie, whanne ye yede `out of Egipt.

10 Kur i jep hua diçka të afërmit tënd nuk do të hysh në shtëpinë e tij për të marrë pengun e tij;

Whanne thou schalt axe of thi neiyebore ony thing which he owith to thee, thou schalt not entre in to his hows, that thou take awei a wed;

11 do të rrish jashtë saj, dhe njeriu të cilit i ke dhënë hua do të ta sjellë jashtë pengun.

but thou schalt stonde with out forth, and he schal brynge forth that that he hath.

12 Dhe në rast se ai njeri është i varfër, nuk do të shkosh të flesh duke pasur akoma pengun e tij.

Sotheli if he is pore, the wed schal not dwelle bi nyyt at thee,

13 Duhet t’ia kthesh pengun në perëndim të diellit, në mënyrë që ai të flerë në mantelin e tij dhe të të bekojë; dhe kjo do të vihet në llogarinë e drejtësisë para syve të Zotit, Perëndisë tënd.

but anoon thou schalt yelde to hym bifor the goyng doun of the sunne, that he slepe in his cloth, and blesse thee, and thou haue riytfulnesse bifor thi Lord God.

14 Nuk do t’i hash hakun argatit të varfër dhe nevojtar, qoftë ai një nga vëllezërit e tu apo një nga të huajt që banojnë në vendin tënd, brenda portave të tua;

Thou schalt not denye the hire of thi brother nedi and pore, ethir of the comelyng that dwellith with thee in thi lond, and is with ynne thi yatis;

15 do t’i japësh pagën e tij po atë ditë, para se të perëndojë dielli, sepse ai është i varfër dhe kjo është dëshira e tij; kështu ai nuk do të bërtasë kundër teje para Zotit dhe ti nuk do të kesh mëkat.

but in the same dai thou schalt yelde to hym the prijs of his trauel, bifor the goyng doun of the sunne, for he is pore, and susteyneth therof his lijf; lest he crye ayens thee to the Lord, and it be arettid to thee into synne.

16 Nuk do të dënohen me vdekje etërit për bijtë e tyre, as do të vriten bijtë për etërit e tyre; secili do të dënohet me vdekje për mëkatin e vet.

The fadris schulen not be slayn for the sones, nether the sones for the fadris, but ech man schal die for hys owne synne.

17 Nuk do të cënosh të drejtën e të huajit o të jetimit dhe nuk do të marrësh peng rrobat e gruas së ve;

Thou schalt not `peruerte, ethir waiwardli turne, the doom of the comelyng, and of fadirles ethir modirles; nethir thou schalt take awei in the stide of wed the cloth of a widewe.

18 por do të kujtosh se ke qenë skllav në Egjipt dhe se të ka liruar Zoti, Perëndia yt; prandaj të veprosh në këtë mënyrë.

Haue thou mynde, that thou seruedist in Egipt, and thi Lord God delyuerede thee fro thennus; therfor Y comaunde to thee that thou do this thing.

19 Kur korr në arën tënde dhe harron aty një demet, nuk do të kthehesh prapa për ta marrë; do të jetë për të huajin, për jetimin dhe gruan e ve, me qëllim që Zoti, Perëndia yt, të të bekojë në tërë veprën e duarve të tua.

Whanne thou repist corn in the feeld, and foryetist, and leeuest a repe, thou schalt not turne ayen to take it, but thou schalt suffre that a comelyng, and fadirles, ethir modirles, and a widewe take awei, that thi Lord God blesse thee in al the werk of thin hondis.

20 Kur do të shkundësh kokrrat e ullinjve të tua, nuk do të kthehesh në degët e tyre; ullinjtë që kanë mbetur do të jenë për të huajin, për jetimin dhe për gruan e ve.

If thou gaderist fruytis of olyues, what euer thing leeueth in trees, thou schalt not turne ayen to gadere, but thou schalt leeue to a comelyng, fadirles, ether modirles, and to a widewe.

21 Kur të vjelësh vreshtin tënd, nuk do të kalosh një herë të dytë; vilet e mbetura do të jenë për të huajin, për jetimin dhe për gruan e ve.

If thou gaderist grapis of the vyner, thou schalt not gadere raisyns that leeuen, but tho schulen falle in to the vsis of the comelyng, of the fadirles, ethir modirles, and of the wydewe.

22 Dhe do të kujtosh se ke qenë skllav në vendin e Egjiptit; prandaj të urdhëroj të veprosh në këtë mënyrë”.

Haue thou mynde that also thou seruedist in Egipt, and therfor Y comaunde to thee, that thou do this thing.
