Veprat e Apostujve 28

1 Dhe si shpëtuan, morën vesh atëherë se ishulli quhej Maltë.

And having been saved then (we found out *N+KO) that Malta the island is called;

2 Barbarët treguan ndaj nesh një mirësjellje të pazakontë, sepse ndezën një zjarr të madh dhe na morën të gjithëve brenda, sepse binte shi dhe bënte ftohtë.

(And *N+kO) the natives were showing not [just] the ordinary kindness to us; (Having kindled *N+kO) for a fire they received all of us because of the rain which already coming on and because of the cold.

3 Dhe, ndërsa Pali mblidhte ca shkarpa dhe i vinte mbi zjarr, nga të nxehtit doli një nepërkë dhe iu ngjit te dora.

When having gathered now Paul of sticks (some *no) quantity and having laid [them] on the fire a viper (out from *N+kO) the heat having come fastened on the hand of him.

4 Barbarët, kur panë gjarprin që i varej nga dora, i thanë njëri-tjetrit: “Me siguri ky njeri është një vrasës, sepse, edhe pse shpëtoi nga deti, drejtësia hyjnore nuk e lë të rrojë”.

When then saw the natives hanging the beast from the hand of him, to one another they were saying: By all means a murderer is man this, whom having been saved from the sea Justice to live not has permitted.

5 Por Pali, si e shkundi gjarprin në zjarr, nuk pësoi ndonjë të keqe.

The [one] indeed then (having shaken off *NK+o) the creature into the fire he suffered no [thing] injurious.

6 Dhe ata po prisnin që ai të fryhej ose të binte i vdekur në çast; por, mbasi pritën gjatë dhe panë se nuk po i ndodhte asgjë e pazakontë, ndryshuan mendim dhe thanë se ishte një perëndi.

But they were expecting him to be about to become inflamed or to fall down suddenly dead; A while great however when they are waiting and seeing nothing amiss to him happening (having changed their opinion *N+kO) they were declaringing him to be a god.

7 Edhe rreth atij vendi i kishte arat i pari i ishullit me emër Publius; ai na priti dhe na mbajti në shtëpi tri ditë miqësisht.

In now the [parts] around the place that [one] were lands [belonging] to the chief of the island, named Publius, who having received us three days hospitably entertained [us].

8 Dhe ndodhi që i ati i Publit dergjej në shtrat, i sëmurë me ethe dhe me dizenteri; Pali i shkoi dhe, mbasi ishte lutur, vuri duart mbi të dhe e shëroi.

It came to pass then the father of Publius with fevers and (with dysentery *N+kO) oppressed [was] lying; to whom Paul having entered and having prayed, having laid the hands on him, healed him.

9 Mbas kësaj edhe banorë të tjerë të ishullit që kishin sëmundje vinin tek ai dhe u shëruan;

Of this (then *N+kO) having taken place also the rest in the island having infirmities were coming and were healed;

10 dhe këta na nderuan me shumë ndere dhe, kur u nisëm për të lundruar, na furnizuan gjërat e nevojshme.

who also with many honors honored us, and on setting sail they laid on [us] the [things] for (the needs. *N+kO)

11 Pas tre muajsh u nisëm me një anije të Aleksandrisë, që kishte dimëruar në ishull dhe që kishte si shenjë Dioskurët.

After then three months (we set out *NK+o) in a ship having wintered in the island, Alexandrian, with a figurehead of [the] Dioscuri;

12 Dhe, si arritëm në Sirakuzë, qëndruam atje tri ditë.

And having put in at Syracuse we stayed days three,

13 Dhe, prej andej, duke lundruar afër bregut, arritëm në Rexho. Të nesërmen fryu juga dhe për dy ditë arritëm në Pocuoli.

from where (having taken off *N+KO) we arrived at Rhegium And after one day when was comong on a south wind on the second day we came to Puteoli;

14 Kur gjetëm atje vëllezër, na lutën të rrimë tek ata shtatë ditë. Dhe kështu mbërritëm në Romë.

where having found [some] brothers we were entreated (with *N+kO) them to remain days seven; And so to Rome we came.

15 Dhe vëllezërit e atjeshëm, kur dëgjuan për ne, na dolën para deri te Fori Apian dhe te Tri Tavernat; dhe Pali, kur i pa, e falënderoi Perëndinë dhe mori zemër.

And from there And from there the brothers having heard the [things] concerning us (they came out *N+kO) to meet us as far as of Appius [the] market and [the] Three Taverns, whom having seen Paul having given thanks to God took courage.

16 Kur arritëm në Romë, centurioni ia dorëzoi robërit komandantit të kampit; por Palit iu dha leja të rrijë më vete me një ushtar si roje.

When now (we came *N+kO) to Rome, (the centurion delivered prisoners to the commanders *K) was allowed (Now *k) Paul to stay by himself with who is guarding him soldier.

17 Pas tri ditësh, Pali thirri krerët e Judenjve. Kur ata u mblodhën, u tha atyre: “Vëllezër, ndonëse nuk bëra asgjë kundër popullit dhe kundër zakoneve të etërve, jam arrestuar në Jeruzalem dhe më kanë dorëzuar në duart e Romakëve.

It came to pass then after days three calling together (he *N+KO) those being of the Jews leaders; When they were assembling then they he was saying to them; I myself, men brothers no [thing] against having done the people or against the customs of our fathers, a prisoner from Jerusalem was delivered into the hands of the Romans,

18 Ata, si më pyetën, donin të më lëshonin, sepse tek unë nuk kishte asnjë faj që të meritonte vdekjen.

who having examined me they were wanting to let [me] go on account of not one cause of death existing in me myself;

19 Por, duke qenë se Judenjtë kundërshtonin, u detyrova t’i apelohem Cezarit, jo se kam ndonjë akuzë kundër kombit tim.

When were objecting however the Jews I was compelled to appeal to Caesar not as if the nation of mine having anything (to lay against. *N+kO)

20 Për këtë arsye, pra, ju kam thirrur, ë t’ju shoh dhe t’ju flas, sepse për shpresën e Izraelit jam lidhur me këta hekura”.

For this therefore cause I have called you to see and to speak to [you]; because of for the hope of Israel chain this I have around [me].

21 Edhe ata i thanë: “Ne nuk kemi marrë asnjë letër për ty nga Judeja, as nuk erdhi ndonjë nga vëllezërit të na tregojë ose të thotë ndonjë të keqe për ty.

And to him they said; We ourselves neither letters concerning you received from Judea, nor having arrived any of the brothers reported or he said anything concerning you evil.

22 Por ne dëshirojmë të dëgjojmë prej teje ç’mendon, sepse për këtë sekt ne dimë se kudo flitet kundra”.

We deem it worthy however from you to hear what you think; concerning truly for sect this known to us it is that everywhere it is spoken against.

23 Dhe, mbasi i caktuan një ditë, erdhën shumë veta tek ai në banesën e tij; dhe ai shtjellonte dhe u dëshmonte atyre për mbretërinë e Perëndisë dhe, me anë të ligjit të Moisiut dhe të profetëve kërkonte

Having appointed then to him a day (came *N+kO) to him to the lodging many, to whom he was expounding fully testifying to the kingdom of God, persuading then them concerning Jesus from both the law of Moses and the Prophets from morning to evening.

24 Disa bindeshin nga ato që u thoshte, por të tjerë nuk besonin.

And some indeed were persuaded by the [things] he is speaking, some however were disbelieving.

25 Dhe, duke qenë në mospajtim njëri me tjetrin, u larguan, pasi Pali u tha pikërisht këto fjalë: “Mirë u foli Fryma e Shenjtë me anë të profetit Isaia etërve tanë,

Discordant then being with one another they were leaving when was speaking Paul declaration one that Rightly the Spirit Holy spoke through Isaiah the prophet to the fathers (of you *N+KO)

26 duke thënë: “Shko tek ai popull dhe i thuaj: “Do të dëgjoni, por nuk do të merrni vesh, do të vështroni, por nuk do të shikoni;

(he is saying: *N+kO) do go to people this and do say; In hearing you will hear and certainly not may understand, and in looking you will look and certainly not may perceive;

27 në fakt zemra e këtij populli u bë e ngurtë, dhe i janë rënduar veshët dhe kanë mbyllur sytë, që të mos shohin me sy dhe të mos dëgjojnë me veshë dhe të mos kuptojnë me zemër dhe të mos kthehen dhe unë të mos i shëroj.

Has grown dull for the heart of the people this, and with the ears barely they hear and the eyes of them they have closed; otherwise otherwise they may see with the eyes and with the ears they may hear and with the heart they may understand and may turn and (I will heal *N+kO) them.’

28 Ta dini, pra, se ky shpëtim i Perëndisë iu dërgua johebrenjve, dhe ata do ta dëgjojnë!”.

Known therefore it should be to you that to the Gentiles has been sent (this *no) salvation of God, they themselves then will listen!

29 Dhe si i tha këto fjalë, Judenjve ikën duke u ngrënë me shumë fjalë njëri me tjetrin.

(and these things of him saying they went away the Jews much having in themselves discussion. *K)

30 Dhe Pali ndenji plot dy vjet në shtëpinë që kishte marrë me qira dhe priste të gjithë ata që vinin tek ai,

(He abided *N+kO) then (Paul *k) two years whole in his own rented house and was welcoming all those coming unto him

31 duke predikuar mbretërinë e Perëndisë dhe duke mësuar gjërat e Zotit Jezu Krisht me shumë liri dhe pa ndalim.

proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching the [things] concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness unhinderedly.
