1 Një grua, bashkëshortja e një dishepulli të profetëve, i thirri Eliseut duke i thënë: “Shërbëtori yt, burri im, vdiq, dhe ti e di që shërbëtori yt kishte frikë nga Zoti; tani huadhënësi ka ardhur
Forsothe sum womman of the wyues of prophetys criede to Elisee, and seide, Thi seruaunt, myn hosebonde, is deed, and thou knowist that thi seruaunt dredde God; and lo! the creaunser, `that is, he to whom the dette is owid, cometh to take my two sones to serue hym.
2 Eliseu i tha: “Ç’duhet të bëj për ty? Më thuaj, çfarë ke në shtëpi?”. Ajo u përgjigj: Shërbëtorja jote nuk ka asgjë në shtëpi përveç një ene të vogël me vaj”.
To whom Elisee seide, What wolt thou that Y do to thee? seie thou to me, what hast thou in thin hows? And she answeride, Y thin handmayde haue not ony thing in myn hows, no but a litil of oile, bi which Y schal be anoyntid.
3 Atëherë ai i tha: “Shko dhe kërko hua nga gjithë fqinjët e tu disa enë boshe; dhe mos u kërko pak.
To whom he seide, Go thou, and axe bi borewyng of alle thi neiyboris voide vessels not fewe.
4 Kur të kthehesh, mbyll portën prapa teje dhe bijve të tu, pastaj derdh vajin në tërë enët, duke vënë mënjanë ato që do të mbushen”.
And entre, and close thi dore, whanne thou art with ynne, thou and thi sones; and putte ye therof in to alle these vessels; and whanne tho schulen be ful, thou schalt take awei.
5 Ajo u largua prej tij dhe mbylli portën pas vetes dhe të bijve; këta i sillnin enët dhe ajo derdhte vajin në to.
Therfor the womman yede, and closide the dore on hir silf and on hir sones, thei brouyten vessels, and sche `heldide in.
6 Kur enët u mbushën, ajo i tha të birit: “Sillmë edhe një enë”. Por ai iu përgjigj: “Nuk ka më enë”. Dhe vaji u ndal.
And whanne the vessels weren fulle, sche seide to hir sone, Brynge thou yit a vessel to me. And he answeride, Y haue not. And the oyle stood.
7 Atëherë ajo shkoi t’ia njoftojë ngjarjen njeriut të Perëndisë, që i tha: “Shko të shesësh vajin dhe paguaj borxhin tënd; me atë që do teprojë, ke për të jetuar ti dhe bijtë e tu”.
Forsothe sche cam, and schewide to the man of God; and he seide, Go thou, sil thou the oile, and yelde to thi creauncer; forsothe thou and thi children lyue of the residue.
8 Ndodhi që një ditë Eliseu shkoi në Shunem, ku banonte një grua e pasur, dhe kjo e detyroi të hante pak ushqim. Kështu sa herë që ai kalonte andej, shkonte të hante tek ajo.
Forsothe sum day was maad, and Elisee passide bi a citee, Sunam; sotheli a greet womman was there, which helde hym, that he schulde ete breed. And whanne he passide ofte therbi, `he turnede to hir, that he schulde ete breed.
9 Ajo i tha burrit të saj: “Ja, unë jam e sigurt që ai që kalon gjithnjë te neve është një njeri i shenjtë i Perëndisë.
`Which womman seide to hir hosebonde, Y perseyue that this is an hooli man of God, that passith ofte bi vs;
10 Të lutem, të ndërtojmë një dhomë të vogël me mur në katin e sipërm dhe të vëmë për të një shtrat, një tryezë, një karrige dhe një shandan; kështu, kur të vijë te ne, mund të rrijë në atë dhomë”.
therfor make we a litil soler to hym, and putte we therynne a litil bed to hym, and a boord, and a chaier, and a candilstike; that whanne he cometh to vs, he dwelle there.
11 Një ditë që Eliseu po kalonte andej shkoi në dhomën lart dhe u shtri.
Therfor sum dai was maad, and he cam, and turnede in to the soler, and restide there.
12 Pastaj i tha Gehazit, shërbëtorit të tij: “Thirre këtë Shunamite”. Ai e thirri dhe ajo u paraqit përpara tij.
And he seide to Giezi, his child, Clepe thou this Sunamyte. And whanne he hadde clepid hir, and sche hadde stonde
13 Pastaj Eliseu i tha shërbëtorit të tij: “I thuaj kështu: “Ja, ti ke treguar një kujdes të veçantë për ne; çfarë mund të bëj për ty? A dëshiron t’i them diçka në emrin tënd mbretit apo komandantit të ushtrisë?””. Ajo u përgjigj:
bifor hym, he seide to his child, Speke thou to hir, Lo! thou hast mynystride to vs bisili in alle thingis; what wolt thou that Y do to thee? Whether thou hast a cause, and wolt that Y speke to the kyng, ether to the prince of the chyualrye? And sche answeride, I dwelle in the myddis of my puple.
14 “Unë jetoj në mes të popullit tim”. Atëherë Eliseu i tha: “Çfarë mund të bëj për të?”. Gehazi u përgjigj: “Të thuash të vërtetën, ajo nuk ka fëmijë dhe burri i saj është i vjetër”.
And he seide, What therfor wole sche that Y do to hir? Giezi seide to hym, Axe thou not, for she hath no sone, and hir hosebonde is eeld.
15 Eliseu i tha: “Thirre!”. Ai e thirri dhe ajo u ndal te porta.
Therfor Elisee comaundide, that he schulde clepe hir. And whanne sche was clepid, and stood bifor the dore,
16 Atëherë Eliseu i tha: “Në këtë stinë, mot, ti do të përqafosh një bir”. Ajo u përgjigj: “Jo, imzot; o njeri i Perëndisë, mos e gënje shërbëtoren tënde!”.
he seide to hir, In this tyme and in this same our, if lijf schal be felow, thou schalt haue a sone in the wombe. And sche answeride, Nyle thou, my lord, the man of God, Y biseche, nyle thou lye to thin hondmaide.
17 Gruaja mbeti me barrë dhe lindi një djalë vitin tjetër, në po atë stinë siç i kishte thënë Eliseu.
And the womman conseyuede, and childide a sone in the tyme, and in the same our, in which Elisee hadde seid.
18 Fëmija u rrit; një ditë që kishte vajtur tek i ati bashkë me korrësit,
Sotheli the child encreeside; and whanne sum day was, and the child was goon out, and yede to his fadir,
19 i tha të atit: “Koka ime, koka ime!”. I ati urdhëroi shërbëtorin e tij: “Çoje tek e ëma!”.
and to the repers, he seide to his fadir, Myn heed akith, myn heed akith. And he seide to a child, Take, and lede hym to his modir.
20 Ky e mori dhe e çoi tek e ëma. Fëmija qëndroi në prehrin e saj deri në mesditë, pastaj vdiq.
And whanne he hadde take, and hadde brouyt hym to his modir, sche settide hym on hir knees `til to myddai, and he was deed.
21 Atëherë ajo u ngjit, u shtri në shtratin e njeriut të Perëndisë, mbylli portën prapa tij dhe doli.
Sotheli she stiede, and leide hym on the litil bed of the man of God, and closide the dore.
22 Pastaj thirri burrin e saj dhe i tha: “Të lutem, më dërgo një nga shërbëtorët e tu dhe një gomare; po vrapoj te njeriu i Perëndisë dhe po kthehem”.
And sche yede out, and clepide hir hosebonde, and seide, Y biseche, sende thou with me oon of the children, and an asse, and Y schal renne out `til to the man of God, and Y schal turne ayen.
23 Ai e pyeti: “Pse dëshiron të shkosh tek ai pikërisht sot? Nuk është as dita e hënës së re, as e shtuna”. Ajo u përgjigj: “Çdo gjë do të shkojë mbarë!”.
And he seide to hir, For what cause goist thou to hym? to dai ben not calendis, nether sabat. And she answeride, Y schal go.
24 Pastaj vuri t’i shalojnë gomaren dhe urdhroi shërbëtorin e vet: “Më udhëhiq dhe shko përpara; mos e ngadalëso hapin për mua, veçse po ta urdhërova unë”.
And sche sadlide the asse, and comaundide to the child, Dryue thou, and haaste; make thou not tariyng to me in goyng, and do thou this thing which Y comaunde to thee.
25 Kështu ajo u nis dhe shkoi te njeriu i Perëndisë, në malin Karmel. Sa e pa njeriu i Perëndisë nga larg, i tha Gehazit, shërbëtorit të tij: “Ja, Shunamitja!
Therfor sche yede forth, and cam to the man of God, in to the hil of Carmele. And whanne the man of God hadde seyn hir euene ayen, he seide to Giezi, his child, Lo! thilke Sunamyte; go thou therfor in to the metyng of hir,
26 Të lutem, shko ta takosh dhe i thuaj: “A je mirë? A është mirë burri yt? Dhe fëmija a është mirë?””. Ajo u përgjigj: “Janë mirë”.
and seie thou to hir, Whether it is doon riytfuli aboute thee, and aboute thin hosebonde, and aboute thi sone? And sche answeride, Riytfuli.
27 Kur arriti te njeriu i Perëndisë në mal, i përqafoi këmbët. Gehazi u afrua për ta larguar, por njeriu i Perëndisë i tha: “Lëre të qetë, sepse e ka shpirtin të trishtuar, dhe Zoti ma ka fshehur dhe nuk ma ka treguar”.
And whanne sche hadde come to the man of God, in to the hil, sche took his feet; and Giezi neiyede, that he schulde remoue hir. And the man of God seide, Suffre thou hir; for hir soule is in bitternesse, and the Lord helde priuy fro me, and schewide not to me.
28 Ajo tha: “A i kisha kërkuar, vallë një bir zotit tim? A nuk të kisha thënë vallë: “Mos më gënje”?”.
And sche seide to hym, Whether I axide my sone of my lord? Whether Y seide not to thee, Scorne thou not me?
29 Atëherë Eliseu i tha Gehazit: “Ngjeshe brezin, merr në dorë bastunin tim dhe nisu. Në qoftë se takon ndonjë njeri, mos e përshëndet; dhe në qoftë se dikush të përshëndet, mos iu përgjigj: do ta vendosësh bastunin tim mbi fytyrën e fëmijës”.
And he seide to Giezi, Girde thi leendis, and take my staf in thin hond, and go; if a man metith thee, grete thou not hym; and if ony man gretith thee, answere thou not hym; and putte thou my staf on the face of the child.
30 E ëma e fëmijës i tha Eliseut: “Ashtu siç është e vërtetë që Zoti rron dhe që edhe ti rron, unë nuk do të të lë”. Kështu Eliseu u ngrit dhe i shkoi pas.
Forsothe the `modir of the child seide, The Lord lyueth and thi soule lyueth, Y schal not leeue, `ether forsake, thee. Therfor he roos, and suede hir.
31 Gehazi i kishte paraprirë dhe kishte vënë bastunin mbi fytyrën e fëmijës, por nuk pati as zë as përgjigje. Prandaj ai u kthye të takohet me Eliseun dhe i tregoi atë që i kishte ndodhur, duke i thënë: “Fëmija nuk u zgjua”.
Sotheli Giezi yede bifor hem, and puttide the staaf on the face of the child; and `vois was not, nether wit. And Giezi turnede ayen to the meetyng of hym; and telde to him, and seyde, The child `roos not.
32 Kur Eliseu hyri në shtëpi, e pa fëmijën të vdekur dhe të shtrirë në shtratin e tij.
Therfor Elisee entride in to the hows, and, lo! the deed child lai in his bed.
33 Atrëherë ai hyri, mbylli derën pas atyre të dyve dhe iu lut Zotit.
And he entride, and closide the dore on hym silf, and on the child; and preiede to the Lord.
34 Pastaj hipi mbi shtratin dhe u shtri mbi fëmijën; vuri gojën e vet mbi gojën e tij, duart e veta mbi duart e tij; u shtri mbi të dhe mishi i fëmijës filloi të ngrohet.
And he stiede, and lay on the child; and he puttide his mouth on the mouth of the child, and hise iyen on the iyen of the child, and hise hondis on the hondis of the child. And he bouwide hym silf on the child; and the fleisch of the child was maad hoot.
35 Pastaj Eliseu u tërhoq prapa dhe shkoi sa andej e këtej nëpër shtëpi; pas kësaj u ngjit përsëri dhe u shtri mbi fëmijën; fëmija teshtiu shtatë herë dhe hapi sytë.
And he turnede ayen, and walkide in the hows onys hidur and thidur; and Elisee stiede, and lai on the child, and the child yoxide seuene sithis, and openyde the iyen.
36 Atëherë ai thirri Gehazin dhe i tha: “Thirre Shunamiten”. Ai e thirri; kur ajo arriti tek Eliseu, ky i tha: “Merre djalin tënd”.
And he clepide Giezi, and seide to hym, Clepe thou this Sunamyte. And sche was clepid, and entride to hym. And he seide, Take thi sone.
37 Ajo hyri dhe u hosh në këmbët e tij, duke u shtrirë për tokë; pastaj mori djalin e saj dhe doli.
She cam, and felde doun to his feet, and worschipide on erthe; and sche took hir sone, and yede out.
38 Pasta Eliseu u kthye në Gilgal; kishte rënë zia e bukës në vend. Ndërsa dishepujt e profetëve ishin ulur përpara tij, ai i tha shërbëtorit të tij: “Vër mbi zjarr kusinë e madhe dhe përgatit një supë për dishepujt e profetit”.
And Elisee turnede ayen in to Galgala. Forsothe hungur was in the lond, and the sones of prophetis dwelliden bifor hym. And Elisee seide to oon of his children, Set thou a greet pot, and sethe thou potage to the sones of prophetis.
39 Njeri prej tyre që kishte dalë ndër fusha për të mbledhur barëra, gjeti një bimë të egër kacavarëse, prej së cilës mblodhi kolokuintidet dhe mbushi veshjen e tij me to; pastaj u kthye dhe i copëtoi në kusinë e supës, megjithëse nuk e dinte se ç’ishin.
And oon yede out in to the feeld to gadere eerbis of the feeld; and he foond as a wilde vyne, and he gaderide therof gourdis of the feeld. And he fillide his mentil, and he turnede ayen, and schredde in to the pot of potage; for he wiste not what it was.
40 Pastaj ua zbrazën supën burrave që ta hanin, por ata e provuan dhe thanë: “Vdekja është në kusi, o njeri i Perëndisë”, dhe nuk mundën ta hanë.
Therfor thei helden yn to felowis to ete; and whanne thei hadden taastid of the sething, thei crieden out, and seiden, Deth in the pot! deeth in the pot! thou man of God. And thei miyten not ete. And he seide, Brynge ye meele.
41 Eliseu urdhëroi atëherë: “Më sillni miell”. E hodhi në kusi, pastaj tha: “Ua zbrazni njerëzve që ta hanë”. Dhe nuk kishte më asgjë të keqe në kusi.
And whanne thei hadden brouyt, he puttide in to the pot, and seide, Helde ye to the cumpany, that thei ete; and ony thing of bitternesse was nomore in the pot.
42 Erdhi pastaj një njeri nga Baal-Shalila, që i solli njeriut të Perëndisë bukë nga korrja e parë; njëzet bukë prej elbi dhe disa kallinj gruri. Eliseu tha: “Jepjua njerëzve që ta hanë”.
Forsothe sum man cam fro the pleyn of Salisa, and bar to the man of God looues of the firste fruytis, ten looues of barli, and newe wheete, in his scrippe. And the man of God seide, Yyue thou to the puple, that it ete.
43 Por shërbëtori i tij u përgjigj: “Si mund ta shtroj këtë përpara njëqind vetave?”. Eliseu urdhëroi përsëri: “Jepjua njerëzve që ta hanë, sepse kështu thotë Zoti: “Do të hanë dhe ka për të tepruar””.
And his mynystre answeride to hym, `Hou myche is this, that Y sette bifor an hundrid men? Eft Elisee seide, Yyue thou to the puple, that it ete; for the Lord seith these thingis, Thei schulen ete, and it shal leeue.
44 Kështu ai e shtroi para njerëzve, që hëngrën dhe teproi sipas fjalës së Zotit.
Therfor he puttide bifor hem, whiche eeten; and it lefte, bi the word of the Lord.
