2 i Kronikave 25

1 Amatsiahu ishte njëzet e pesë vjeç kur filloi të mbretërojë, dhe mbretëroi njëzet e nëntë vjet në Jeruzalem. E ëma quhej Jehoadan dhe ishte nga Jeruzalemi.

Forsothe Amasie, `his sone, regnede for hym; Amasie was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnyde nyne and twenti yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Joiaden, of Jerusalem.

2 Ai bëri atë që është e drejtë në sytë e Zotit, por jo me gjithë zemër.

And he dide good in the siyt of the Lord, netheles not in perfit herte.

3 Mbasi përforcoi mbretërinë e tij, ai vrau shërbëtorët e tij që kishin vrarë mbretin, atin e tij.

And whanne he siy the empire strengthid to hym silf, he stranglide the seruauntis, that killiden the kyng, his fadir;

4 Megjithatë ai nuk i vriste bijtë e tyre, por veproi siç është shkuar në ligj në librin e Moisiut, të cilin Zoti e urdhëroi duke thënë: “Etërit nuk do të vriten për fajin e bijve të tyre, dhe as bijtë e tyre nuk do të vriten për fajin e etërve; por secili do të dënohet me vdekje për mëkatin e vet”.

but he killide not the sones of hem; as it is writun in the book of the lawe of Moises, where the Lord comaundide, seiynge, Fadris schulen not be slayn for the sones, nether the sones for her fadris; but ech man schal die in his owne synne.

5 Përveç kësaj Amatsiahu mblodhi ata të Judës dhe caktoi mbi ta komandantët e mijëshëve dhe të qindëshëve sipas shtëpive të tyre atërore, për tërë Judën dhe Beniaminin; pastaj bëri regjistrimin nga njëzet vjeç e lart dhe doli që ishin treqind mijë burra të zgjedhur, të aftë për luftë dhe të zotë të përdorin ushtën dhe mburojën.

Therfor Amasie gaderide togidere Juda, and ordeynede hem bi meynees and tribunes and centuriouns, in al Juda and Beniamyn; and he noumbride fro twenti yeer and aboue, and he foonde thritti thousynde of yonge men, that yeden out to batel, and helden spere and scheeld.

6 Rekrutoi gjithashtu me para njëqind mijë burra nga Izraeli, të fortë dhe trima, për njëqind talenta argjendi.

Also for mede he hiride of Israel an hundrid thousynde of stronge men, for an hundrid talentis of siluer, that thei schulden fiyte ayens the sones of Edom.

7 Por një njeriu i Perëndisë erdhi tek ai dhe i tha: “O mbret, ushtria e Izraelit të mos vijë me ty, sepse Zoti nuk është me Izraelin, as me ndonjë nga bijtë e Efraimit!

Forsothe a man of God cam to hym, and seide, A! kyng, the oost of Israel go not out with thee, for the Lord is not with Israel and with alle the sones of Effraym;

8 Por në rast se dëshiron të shkosh, shko megjithatë; edhe po të tregohesh trim në betejë, Perëndia do të të bëjë të biesh para armikut, sepse Perëndia ka pushtet të ndihmojë dhe të të bëjë që të biesh”.

for if thou gessist that batels stonden in the myyt of oost, the Lord schal make thee to be ouercomun of enemyes, for it is of God for to helpe, and to turne in to fliyt.

9 Amatsiahu i tha atëherë njeriut të Perëndisë: “Por çdo t’i bëj njëqind talentat që ia dhashë ushtrisë së Izraelit?”. Njeriu i Perëndisë u përgjigj: “Zoti mund të të japë më tepër se aq”.

And Amasie seide to the man of God, What therfor schal be doon of the hundrid talentis, which Y yaf to the knyytis of Israel? And the man of God answeride to hym, The Lord hath, wherof he may yelde to thee myche mo thingis than these.

10 Atëherë Amatsiahu e shpërndau ushtrinë që kishte ardhur tek ai nga Efraimi, me qëllim që të kthehej në shtëpi të saj; por zemërimi i pjesëtarëve të saj u rrit shumë kundër Judës dhe ata u kthyen në shtëpi me një zemërim të madh.

Therfor Amasie departide the oost that cam to hym fro Effraym, that it schulde turne ayen in to his place; and thei weren wrooth greetli ayens Juda, and turneden ayen in to her cuntrei.

11 Pastaj Amatsiahu, mbasi mori zemër, u vu në krye të popullit të tij, shkoi në luginën e Kripës dhe vrau dhjetë mijë njerëz të Seirit.

Forsothe Amasie ledde out tristili his puple, and yede in to the valei of makyngis of salt, and he killide of the sones of Seir ten thousynde.

12 Bijtë e Judës kapën gjallë dhjetë mijë të tjerë dhe i çuan në majë të shkëmbit, prej ku i hodhën poshtë; dhe të tërë u bënë copë-copë.

And the sones of Juda token othere ten thousynde of men, and brouyten to the hiy scarre of summe stoon; and castiden hem doun fro the hiyeste in to the pit; whiche alle braken.

13 Por burrat e ushtrisë, që Amatsiahu kishte shpërndarë që të mos vinin me të për të luftuar, u vërsulën mbi qytetet e Judës, nga Samaria deri në Beth-Horon, duke vrarë tre mijë banorë dhe duke marrë një plaçkë të madhe.

And thilke oost whom Amasie hadde sent ayen, that it schulde not go with him to batel, was spred abrood in the citees of Juda fro Samarie `til to Betheron; and aftir `that it hadde slayn thre thousynde, it took awey a greet preie.

14 Pas kthimit të tij nga masakra e Edomitëve, Amatsiahu urdhëroi që t’i sillnin perënditë e bijve të Seirit, i vendosi si perëndi të tij, ra përmbys përpara tyre dhe u ofroj temjan.

And Amasie, after the sleyng of Idumeis, and after that he hadde brouyt the goddis of the sones of Seir, ordeynede hem `in to goddis to hym silf, and worschipide hem, and brente encense to hem.

15 Prandaj zemërimi i Zotit u ndez kundër Amatsiahut dhe i dërgoi një profet për t’i thënë: “Pse kërkove perënditë e këtij populli, që nuk kanë qenë të zotë të çlirojnë popullin e tyre nga dora jote?”.

Wherfor the Lord was wrooth ayens Amasie, and sente to hym a profete, that seide to hym, Whi worschipist thou goddis that `delyueriden not her puple fro thin hond?

16 Ndërsa vazhdonte të fliste akoma me të, mbreti i tha: “A të kemi bërë vallë këshilltar të mbretit? Pusho! Pse kërkon të vritesh?”. Atëherë profeti nuk foli më, por tha: “Unë e di që Perëndia ka vendosur të të shkatërrojë, sepse ke bërë këtë dhe nuk more parasysh këshillën time”.

Whanne the profete spak these thingis, Amasie answeride to hym, Whether thou art a counselour of the king? ceesse thou, lest perauenture Y sle thee. Therfor the profete yede awei, and seide, Y woot, that the Lord thouyte to sle thee; for thou didist this yuel, and ferthermore thou assentidist not to my counsel.

17 Atëherë Amatsiahu, mbret i Judës, pasi u këshillua, dërgoi t’i thotë Joasit, birit të Jehoahazit, birit të Jehut, mbret i Izraelit: “Eja të ballafaqohemi njeri me tjetrin në betejë”.

Therfor Amasie, the king of Juda, whanne he hadde take a ful yuel counsel, sente to the kyng of Israel Joas, the sone of Joachaz, the sone of Hieu, and seide, Come thou, se we vs togidere.

18 Por Joasi, mbret i Izraelit, dërgoi t’i thotë Amatsiahut, mbretit të Judës: “Gjembi i Libanit i çoi fjalë kedrit të Libanit: “Jepi vajzën tënde për grua birit tim”. Por një kafshë e egër e Libanit kaloi andej dhe e shkeli gjembin.

And he sente ayen messangeris, and seide, A `cardue, ether a tasil, which is in the Liban sente to the cedre of the Liban, and seide, Yyue thi douyter a wijf to my sone; and lo! beestis that weren in the wode of the Liban yeden and defouliden the cardue.

19 Ti ke thënë: “Ja, unë kam mundur Edomin”, dhe zemra jote të ka bërë krenar aq sa të mburresh. Rri në shtëpinë tënde. Pse kërkon të shkaktosh fatkeqësi, duke shkatërruar veten tënde dhe Judën bashkë me ty?”.

Thou seidist, Y haue smyte Edom, and therfor thin herte is reysid in to pride; sitte thou in thin hows; whi stirist thou yuel ayens thee, that thou falle, and Juda with thee?

20 Por Amatsiahu nuk e dëgjoi; kjo gjë vinte në të vërtetë nga Perëndia, me qëllim që të jepeshin në dorën e armikut, sepse kishin kërkuar perënditë e Edomit.

Amasie nolde here, for it was the wille of the Lord, that he schulde be bitakun in to the hondis of enemyes, for the goddis of Edom.

21 Kështu Joasi, mbret i Izraelit, doli kundër Judës; dhe ai dhe Amatsiahu, mbret i Judës, u ndeshën me njeri-tjetrin në Beth-Shemesh që i përkiste Judës.

Therfor Joas, kyng of Israel, stiede, and thei siyen hem silf togidere. Sotheli Amasie, the kyng of Juda, was in Bethsames of Juda;

22 Juda u mund nga Izraeli, dhe secili ia mbathi në çadrën e vet.

and Juda felde doun bifor Israel, and fledde in to his tabernaclis.

23 Joasi, mbret i Izraelit, zuri në Beth-Shemesh Amatsiahun, mbretin e Judës, birin e Joasit, bir i Jehoahazit; e çoi në Jeruzalem dhe bëri një të çarë prej katërqind kubitësh në muret e Jeruzalemit që nga porta Efraimit deri te porta e Qoshes.

Certis the kyng of Israel took in Bethsames Amasie, the kyng of Juda, the sone of Joas, sone of Joachaz, and brouyte in to Jerusalem; and he destriede the wallis therof fro the yate of Effraym `til to the yate of the corner, bi foure hundrid cubitis.

24 Mori tërë arin dhe argjendin dhe të gjitha sendet që gjendeshin në shtëpinë e Perëndisë, që i ishin besuar Obed-Edomit, thesaret e pallatit mbretëror dhe disa pengje, pastaj u kthye përsëri në Samari.

And be ledde ayen in to Samarie al the gold and siluer, and alle vessels whiche he foond in the hows of the Lord, and at Obededom, in the tresouris also of the kyngis hows, also and the sones of ostagis.

25 Amatsiahu, bir i Joasit, mbretit të Judës, jetoi edhe pesëmbëdhjetë vjet mbas vdekjes së Joasit, birit të Jehoahazit, mbret i Izraelit.

Forsothe Amasie, kyng of Juda, the sone of Joas, lyuede fiftene yeer aftir that Joas, kyng of Israel, the sone of Joachaz, was deed.

26 Pjesa tjetër e bëmave të Amatsiahut, nga të parat gjer në ato të fundit, a nuk janë të shkruara vallë, në librin e mbretërve të Judës dhe të Izraelit?

Sotheli the residue of the formere and the laste wordis of Amasie ben writun in the book of kyngis of Juda and of Israel.

27 Mbas largimit të Amatsiahut nga Zoti, u kurdis kundër tij një komplot në Jeruzalem; ai iku në Lakish, por e ndoqën deri në Lakish dhe aty e vranë.

And aftir that he yede awei fro the Lord, thei settiden to hym tresouns in Jerusalem; and whanne he hadde fledde to Lachis, thei senten and killiden hym there;

28 E ngarkuan pastaj mbi kuaj dhe e varrosën bashkë me etërit e tij në qytetin e Judës.

and thei brouyten ayen on horsis, and birieden hym with his fadris in the citee of Dauid.
