2 i Kronikave 24

1 Joasi ishte shtatë vjeç kur filloi të mbretërojë, dhe mbretëroi dyzet vjet në Jeruzalem. E ëma quhej Tsibiah dhe ishte nga Beer-Sheba.

[was] a son of Seven years Joash when became king he and forty year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Zibiah from Beer Sheba.

2 Joasi bëri atë që është e drejtë në sytë e Zotit gjatë gjithë kohës që jetoi prifti Jehojada.

And he did Joash the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh all [the] days of Jehoiada the priest.

3 Jehojada i zgjodhi për të dy bashkëshorte dhe Joasit i lindën djem dhe vajza.

And he took for him Jehoiada wives two and he fathered sons and daughters.

4 Mbas kësaj e shtyu zemra Joasin të ndreqë shtëpinë e Zotit.

And it was after this it was with [the] heart of Joash to renew [the] house of Yahweh.

5 Prandaj mblodhi priftërinjtë dhe Levitët dhe u tha atyre: “Shkoni në qytetet e Judës dhe mblidhni vit për vit nga gjithë Izraeli paratë që nevojiten për të restauruar shtëpinë e Perëndisë tuaj; përpiquni ta kryeni shpejt këtë punë”. Por Levitët nuk treguan asnjë nxitim.

And he assembled the priests and the Levites and he said to them go out to [the] cities of Judah and collect from all Israel money to repair - [the] house of God your as often as a year in a year and you you will do quickly the matter and not they acted quickly the Levites.

6 Atëherë mbreti thirri kryepriftin Jehojada dhe i tha: “Pse nuk u kërkove Levitëve që të sillnin nga Juda dhe nga Jeruzalemi taksën e caktuar nga Moisiu, shërbëtor i Zotit, dhe nga asambleja e Izraelit për çadrën e dëshmisë?”.

And he summoned the king Jehoiada the chief and he said to him why? not have you required on the Levites to bring from Judah and from Jerusalem [the] tax of Moses [the] servant of Yahweh and of the assembly of Israel to [the] tent of the testimony.

7 Në të vërtetë bijtë e Athaliahës, të kësaj gruaje të keqe, kishin plaçkitur shtëpinë e Perëndisë dhe kishin përdorur madje gjithë gjërat e shenjtëruara të shtëpisë të Zotit për Baalët.

For Athaliah the wickedness sons her they had broken into [the] house of God and also all [the] holy things of [the] house of Yahweh they had used for the Baals.

8 Me urdhër të mbretit bënë një arkë dhe e vunë jashtë, te porta e shtëpisë të Zotit.

And he said the king and they made a chest one and they put it at [the] gate of [the] house of Yahweh [the] outside towards.

9 Pastaj bënë një shpallje në Judë dhe në Jeruzalem, me qëllim që t’i çohej Zotit taksa që Moisiu, shërbëtori i Perëndisë, i kishte vënë Izraelit në shkretëtirë.

And they made a proclamation in Judah and in Jerusalem to bring to Yahweh [the] tax of Moses [the] servant of God on Israel in the wilderness.

10 Tërë krerët dhe tërë populli u gëzuan dhe sollën paratë, duke i hedhur në arkë deri sa e mbushën.

And they were glad all the officials and all the people and they brought and they threw to the chest until finished.

11 Kur arka çohej nga Levitët tek inspektori i mbretit, sepse shihnin se kishte në të shumë para, sekretari i mbretit dhe i ngarkuari nga kryeprifti vinin për të zbrazur arkën; pastaj e merrnin dhe e çonin përsëri në vendin e saj. Kështu vepronin çdo ditë; në këtë mënyrë grumbullonin një sasi të madhe parash.

And it was at [the] time [when] someone brought the chest to [the] overseer of the king by [the] hand of the Levites and just as saw they that [was] much the money and he came [the] scribe of the king and [the] officer of [the] priest of the head so they may pour out the chest and they took it and they returned it to place its thus they did to a day - in a day and they gathered money to abundance.

12 Pastaj mbreti dhe Jehojada ua jepnin këto atyre që bënin shërbimin në shtëpinë e Zotit; dhe ata paguanin gurgdhëndësit dhe marangozët për të restauruar shtëpinë e Zotit, si edhe punëtorët e hekurit dhe të bronzit që merreshin me shtëpinë e Zotit.

And he gave it the king and Jehoiada to [the] doer of [the] work of [the] service of [the] house of Yahweh and they were hiring stone cutters and craftsmen to renew [the] house of Yahweh and also craftsmen of iron and bronze to repair [the] house of Yahweh.

13 Kështu punëtorët i kryen me kujdes punimet dhe me anë të tyre ndreqjet shkuan mbarë; ata e kthyen përsëri shtëpinë e Perëndisë në gjendejn e saj origjinale dhe e përforcuan atë.

And they worked [the] doers of the work and it went up [the] repair for the work by hand their and they erected [the] house of God on measurement its and they strengthened it.

14 Kur kishin mbaruar, paratë që mbetën i çuan para mbretit dhe Jehojadës dhe me to bënë orendi për shtëpinë e Zotit, orendi për shërbimin dhe për olokaustet, kupa dhe vegla të tjera prej ari ose argjendi. Deri sa jetoi Jehojada, u ofruan vazhdimisht olokauste në shtëpinë e Zotit.

And just as had finished they they brought before the king and Jehoiada [the] remainder of the money and someone made it articles for [the] house of Yahweh articles of service and offering up and pans and articles of gold and silver and they were offering up burnt offerings in [the] house of Yahweh continually all [the] days of Jehoiada.

15 Por Jehojada, tanimë i plakur dhe i ngopur me ditë, vdiq; ai ishte njëqind e tridhjetë vjeç kur vdiq;

And he became old Jehoiada and he was satisfied days and he died a son of one hundred and thirty year[s] at death his.

16 e varrosën në qytetin e Davidit bashkë me mbretërit, sepse kishte bërë të mira në Izrael, ndaj Perëndisë dhe ndaj shtëpisë së tij.

And people buried him in [the] city of David with the kings for he had done good in Israel and with God and house his.

17 Mbas vdekjes së Jehojadës, krerët e Judës shkuan dhe ranë përmbys përpara mbretit; dhe mbreti i dëgjoi.

And after [the] death of Jehoiada they came [the] leaders of Judah and they bowed down to the king then he listened the king to them.

18 Pastaj ata braktisën shtëpinë e Zotit, Perëndisë të etërve të tyre, dhe u shërbyen Asherimëve dhe idhujve; për shkak të këtij mëkati, zemërimi i Perëndisë ra mbi Judën dhe mbi Jeruzalemin.

And they abandoned [the] house of Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their and they served the Asherah poles and the idols and it was wrath towards Judah and Jerusalem in guilt their this.

19 Zoti u dërgoi atyre profetë për t’i bërë të kthehen tek ai; këta dëshmuan kundër tyre, por ata nuk deshën t’i dëgjojnë.

And he sent among them prophets to bring back them to Yahweh and they warned them and not they gave ear.

20 Atëherë Fryma e Perëndisë erdhi mbi Zakarian, birin e priftit Jehojada, që u ngrit përpara popullit dhe tha: “Kështu thotë Perëndia: Pse shkelni urdhërimet e Zotit dhe nuk keni mbarësi? Mëqe e keni braktisur Zotin edhe ai do t’ju braktisë”.

And [the] spirit of God it clothed Zechariah [the] son of Jehoiada the priest and he stood above the people and he said to them thus - he says God why? [are] you transgressing [the] commandments of Yahweh and not you will prosper for you have forsaken Yahweh and he has forsaken you.

21 Por ata komplotuan kundër tij dhe me urdhër të mbretit, e vranë me gurë në oborrin e shtëpisë të Zotit.

And they conspired on him and they stoned him stone[s] by [the] command of the king in [the] courtyard of [the] house of Yahweh.

22 Kështu mbreti Joas nuk e kujtoi mirësinë që Jehojada, ati i Zakarias, kishte treguar ndaj tij dhe ia vrau të birin, i cili duke vdekur tha: “Zoti e shikoftë dhe të kërkoftë llogari!

And not he remembered Joash the king the loyalty which he had done Jehoiada father his with him and he killed son his and when dying he he said may he see Yahweh and may he require.

23 Kështu ndodhi që, në fillim të vitit të ri, ushtria e Sirëve doli kundër Joasit. Ata erdhën në Judë dhe në Jeruzalem dhe shfarosën nga populli tërë krerët e tij, dhe tërë plaçkën ia çuan mbretit të Damaskut.

And it was - to [the] circuit of the year it came up on him [the] army of Aram and they came to Judah and Jerusalem and they destroyed all [the] leaders of the people from [the] people and all booty their they sent to [the] king of Damascus.

24 Megjithëse ushtria e Sirëve kishte ardhur me pak veta, Zoti u dha në dorë një ushtri shumë të madhe, sepse kishin braktisur Zotin, Perëndinë e etërve të tyre. Kështu ata e gjykuan Joasin.

For with smallness of men they came - [the] army of Aram and Yahweh he gave in hand their an army for multitude exceedingly for they had forsaken Yahweh [the] God of ancestors their and with Joash they did judgment.

25 Kur Sirët u tërhoqën nga ai (sepse e kishin lënë shumë të sëmurë), shërbëtorët e tij kurdisën një komplot kundër tij, për shkak të vrasjes së bijve të priftit Jehojada, dhe e vranë në shtratin e tij. Kështu ai vdiq dhe e varrosën në qytetin e Davidit, por jo në varrezat e mbretërve.

And when went they from him for they had left him (with sicknesses *Qk) great they conspired on him own servants his in [the] blood of [the] sons of Jehoiada the priest and they killed him on bed his and he died and they buried him in [the] city of David and not they buried him in [the] graves of the kings.

26 aaa add Këta janë ata që komplotuan kundër tij: Zabadi, bir i Shimeathit, Amonitja, dhe Jehozbadi, bir i Shimrithit, Moabitja.

And these [are] the [ones who] conspired on him Zabad [the] son of Shimeath the Ammonite [woman] and Jehozabad [the] son of Shimrith the Moabite [woman].

27 aaa add Përsa u përket bijve të tij, profecitë e shumta të thëna kundër tij dhe meremetimi i shtëpisë së Perëndisë, ja, këto gjëra janë shkruar në historinë e librit të mbretërve. Në vend të tij mbretëroi i biri, Amatsiahu.

And sons his (it will be numerous of *QK) the oracle on him and [the] founding of [the] house of God there they [are] written on [the] record of [the] scroll of the kings and he became king Amaziah son his in place of him.
