2 i Kronikave 18

1 Jozafati pati pasuri të mëdha dhe lavdi; ai bëri krushqi me Ashabin.

Therfor Josaphat was riche and ful noble, and bi affynyte, `ethir alie, he was ioyned to Achab.

2 Mbas disa vjetësh ai zbriti në Samari tek Ashabi. Atëherë Ashabi theri për të dhe për njerëzit që ishin me të një numër të madh delesh dhe lopësh dhe e bindi të dilte bashkë me të kundër Ramothit nga Galaadi.

And aftir yeeris he cam doun to hym in to Samarie; at whos comyng Achab killide ful many wetheris and oxis, and to the puple that cam with hym; and he counseilide hym to stie in to Ramoth of Galaad.

3 Kështu Ashabi, mbret i Izraelit, i tha Jozafatit, mbretit të Judës: “A do të vish me mua kundër Ramothit nga Galaadi?”. Jozafati iu përgjigj: “Ki besim tek unë si te vetja jote, te njerëzit e mi si te njerëzit e tu; do të vijmë në luftë bashkë me ty”.

And Achab, the kyng of Israel, seide to Josaphat, kyng of Juda, Come thou with me in to Ramoth of Galaad. To whom he answeride, As and Y am, thou art; as thi puple, so and my puple; and we schulen be with thee in batel.

4 Pastaj Jozafati i tha mbretit të Izraelit: “Të lutem, konsulto po sot fjalën e Zotit”.

And Josaphat seide to the kyng of Israel, Y biseche, counsele thou in present tyme the word of the Lord.

5 Atëherë mbreti i Izraelit thirri profetët, katërqind veta, dhe u tha atyre: “A duhet të shkojmë të luftojmë kundër Ramothit nga Galaadi, apo duhet të heq dorë nga ky veprim?”. Ata iu përgjigjën: “Shko, pra, sepse Perëndia do ta japë atë në duart e mbretit”.

Therfor the kyng of Israel gaderide togidere foure hundrid `men of prophetis, and seide to hem, Owen we to go in to Ramath of Galaad for to fiyte, ethir `take reste? And thei seiden, Stie ye, and God schal bitake in the hond of the king.

6 Por Jozafati tha: “Nuk ka këtu ndonjë profet tjetër të Zotit me të cilin mund të këshillohemi?”.

And Josaphat seide, Whether no profete of the Lord is here, that we `axe also of hym?

7 Mbreti i Izraelit iu përgjigj Jozafatit: “Éshtë edhe një njeri, Mikajahu, bir i Imlas, me anë të të cilit mund të këshillohemi me Zotin; por unë e urrej, sepse nuk profetizon kurrë ndonjë gjë të mirë për mua, por vetëm të keqen”. Jozafati tha: “Mbreti të mos flasë kështu”.

And the kyng of Israel seide to Josaphat, O man is, of whom we `moun axe the wille of the Lord, but and Y hate hym, for he prophecieth not good, but yuel to me in al tyme; sothely it is Mychee, the sone of Jebla. And Josaphat seide to hym, Kyng, speke thou not in this maner.

8 Atëherë mbreti i Izraelit thirri një eunuk dhe i tha: “Sille shpejt Mikajahun, birin e Imlas”.

Therfor the kyng of Israel clepide oon of the geldyngis, and seide to hym, Clepe thou soone Mychee, the sone of Jebla.

9 Mbreti i Izraelit dhe Jozafati, mbret i Judës, ishin ulur secili në fronin e vet, të veshur me rrobat e tyre mbretërore; ishin ulur në lëmin që është te hyrja e portës së Samarisë; dhe tërë profetët bënin profeci përpara tyre.

Forsothe the kyng of Israel and Josaphat, the kyng of Juda, saten euer eithir in his seete, and weren clothid in kyngis aray; forsothe thei saten in the cornfloor, `ether large hows, bisidis the yate of Samarie; and alle the prophetis profesieden bifor hem.

10 Sedekia, bir i Kenaanahut, që kishte bërë brirë prej hekuri, tha: “Kështu thotë Zoti: “Me këta brirë do të shposh tejpërtej Sirët deri sa t’i shkatërrosh plotësisht””.

Forsothe Sedechie, the sone of Cananee, made to hym yrone hornes, and seide, The Lord seith these thingis, With these thou schalt wyndewe Sirie, til thou al to-brake it.

11 Tërë profetët profetizuan në të njëjtën mënyrë, duke thënë: “Dil kundër Ramothit nga Galaadi dhe do t’ia dalësh, sepse Zoti do ta japë atë në duart e mbretit”.

And alle prophetis profesieden in lijk maner, and seiden, Stie thou in to Ramoth of Galaad, and thou schalt haue prosperite; and the Lord schal bitake hem in to the hondis of the kyng.

12 Lajmëtari, që kishte shkuar të thërriste Mikajahun, i foli duke i thënë: “Ja, fjalët e profetëve përputhen duke thënë gjëra të mira për mbretin. Prandaj të lutem që fjala jote të jetë si fjala e secilit prej tyre; edhe ti thuaj gjëra të mira”.

Forsothe the messanger, that yede to clepe Mychee, seide to hym, Lo! the wordis of alle prophetis tellen with o mouth goodis to the kyng; therfor, Y preye thee, that thi word disente not fro hem, and that thou speke prosperitees.

13 Por Mikajahu u përgjigj: “Ashtu siç është e vërtetë që Zoti rron, çdo gjë që Perëndia im do të thotë unë do ta shpall”.

To whom Mychee answeride, The Lord lyueth, for what euer thingis my Lord spekith to me, Y schal speke these thingis. Therfor he cam to the kyng.

14 Si arriti para mbretit, mbreti i tha: “Mikajah, a duhet të shkojmë të luftojmë kundër Ramothit të Galaadit, apo duhet të heq dorë?”. Ai u përgjigj: “Shkoni, pra, dhe do t’ju dalë mbarë, sepse ata do të jepen në duart tuaja”.

To whom the kyng seide, Mychee, owen we go in to Ramoth of Galaad to fiyte, ether take reste? To whom he answeride, Stie ye, for alle prosperitees schulen come, and enemyes schulen be bitakun in to youre hondis.

15 Atëherë mbreti i tha: “Sa herë duhet të përgjërohem që të më thuash vetëm të vërtetën në emër të Zotit?”.

And the kyng seide, Eft and eft Y charge thee, that thou speke not to me no but that that is soth in the name of the Lord.

16 Mikajahu u përgjigj: “E pashë tërë Izraelin të shpërndarë në malet, ashtu si dhentë që janë pa bari; dhe Zoti tha: “Ata nuk kanë më zot; le të kthehet secili në paqe në shtëpinë e vet””.

And he seide, Y siy al Israel scaterid in the hillis, as scheep with out scheepherde. And the Lord seide, These men han not lordis; ech man turne ayen in to his hows in pees.

17 Mbreti i Izraelit i tha Jozafatit: “A nuk të kisha thënë se lidhur me mua ai nuk do të profetizonte asgjë të mirë, por vetëm të keqen?”.

The kyng of Israel seide to Josaphat, Whether Y seide not to thee, that he profesiede not ony good to me, but tho thingis that ben yuele?

18 Atëherë Mikajahu i tha: “Prandaj dëgjo fjalën e Zotit. Unë e kam parë Zotin të ulur mbi fronin e tij, ndërsa tërë ushtria qiellore rrinte në të djathtë dhe në të majtë të tij.

And therfor Mychee seide, Here ye the word of the Lord. Y siy the Lord sittynge in his trone, and al the oost of heuene stondynge nyy him at the riytside and `leftside.

19 Zoti tha: “Kush do ta mashtrojë Ashabin, mbretin e Izraelit, që ai të dalë dhe të vdesë në Ramoth të Galaadit?””. Dikush u përgjigj në një mënyrë, dikush në mënyrë tjetër.

And the Lord seide, Who schal disseyue Achab, the kyng of Israel, that he stie, and falle doun in Ramoth of Galaad? And whanne oon seide in this maner, and another seide in another maner, a spirit cam forth,

20 Atëherë doli përpara një frymë që u paraqit para Zotit dhe tha: “Unë do t’ia mbush mendjen”. Zoti i tha: “Në çfarë mënyre?”.

and stood bifor the Lord, and seide, Y schal disseyue hym. To whom the Lord seide, `Wherynne, therfor schalt thou disseyue?

21 Ai u përgjigj: “Unë do të dal dhe do të jem një frymë i gënjeshtrës në gojën e të gjithë profetëve të tij”. Zoti i tha: “Me siguri do t’arrish ta bësh për vete, shko dhe vepro kështu”.

And he answeride, Y schal go out, and Y schal be a `fals spirit in the mouth of alle hise profetis. And the Lord seide, Thou schalt disseyue, and thou schalt haue the maystri; go thou out, and do so.

22 Prandaj ja, Zoti ka vënë një frymë gënjeshtre në gojën e këtyre profetëve të tu, por Zoti shpall fatkeqësi kundër teje”.

Now therfor, lo! the Lord hath youe a spirit of leesyng in the mouth of alle thi prophetis, and the Lord spak yuels of thee.

23 Atëherë Sedekia, bir i Kenaanahut, u afrua dhe goditi me një shpullë Mikajahun, dhe tha: “Nga kaloi Fryma e Zotit kur doli nga unë që të flasë me ty?”.

Forsothe Sedechie, the sone of Chananee, neiyide, and smoot `the cheke of Mychee, and seide, Bi what weye passide the Spirit of the Lord fro me to speke to thee?

24 Mikajahu u përgjigj: “Ja, do ta shohësh ditën në të cilën do të shkosh në një dhomë të brendshme për t’u fshehur!”.

And Mychee seide, Thou thi silf schalt se in that dai, whanne thou schalt entre fro closet in to closet, that thou be hid.

25 Atëherë mbreti i Izraelit tha: “Merreni Mikajahun dhe çojeni tek Amoni, qeveritar i qytetit, dhe tek Joasi, bir i mbretit,

Sotheli the kyng of Israel comaundide, seiynge, Take ye Mychee, and lede ye hym to Amon, prince of the citee, and to Joas, the sone of Amalech;

26 dhe u thoni atyre: Kështu thotë mbreti: “Futeni këtë në burg dhe ushqejeni me bukë dhe me ujë hidhërimi, deri sa unë të kthehem shëndoshë e mirë””.

and ye schulen seie, The kyng seith these thingis, Sende ye this man in to prisoun, and yyue ye to hym a litil of breed, and a litil of watir, til Y turne ayen in pees.

27 Mikajahu tha: “Në rast se ti kthehesh me të vërtetë shëndoshë e mirë, kjo do të thotë që Zoti nuk ka folur nëpërmjet meje”. Dhe shtoi: “Dëgjoni, o ju popuj të gjithë!”.

And Mychee seide, If thou turnest ayen in pees, the Lord spak not in me. And he seide, Alle `puplis here ye.

28 Mbreti i Izraelit dhe Jozafati, mbret i Judës, dolën, pra, kundër Ramothit nga Galaadi.

Therfor the kyng of Israel, and Josaphat, the kyng of Juda, stieden in to Ramoth of Galaad.

29 Mbreti i Izraelit i tha Jozafatit: “Unë do të vishem ndryshe dhe pastaj do të shkoj të luftoj, por ti vish rrobat e tua mbretërore”. Kështu mbreti i Izraelit ndërroi rrobat dhe shkuan të luftojnë.

And the kyng of Israel seide to Josaphat, Y schal chaunge clothing, and so Y schal go to fiyte; but be thou clothid in thi clothis. Therfor whanne the kyng of Israel hadde chaungid clothing, he cam to batel.

30 Mbreti i Sirisë kishte dhënë këtë urdhër kapitenëve të qerreve të tij duke thënë: “Mos luftoni kundër askujt, të madh apo të vogël, por vetëm kundër mbretit të Izraelit”.

Forsothe the kyng of Sirie comaundide to the duykis of his multitude of knyytis, and seide, Fiyte ye not ayens the leeste, nether ayens the mooste; no but ayens the kyng aloone of Israel.

31 Kështu, kur kapitenët e qerreve panë Jozafatin, ata thanë: “Ai është mbreti i Izraelit”. Pastaj e rrethuan për ta sulmuar; por Jozafati lëshoi një britmë dhe Zoti i vajti në ndihmë; Perëndia i shtyu të largoheshin prej tij.

Therfor whanne the princes of the multitude of knyytis hadden seyn Josaphat, thei seiden, This is the kyng of Israel; and thei cumpassiden hym, and fouyten. And he criede to the Lord; and the Lord helpide hym, and turnede hem awey fro hym.

32 Kur kapitenët e qerreve e kuptuan se nuk ishte mbreti i Izraelit, hoqën dorë nga ndjekja.

Sotheli whanne the duykis of the multitude of knyytis hadden herd, that it was not the kyng of Israel, thei leften hym.

33 Por një njeri hodhi rastësisht një shigjetë me harkun e tij dhe e goditi mbretin e Izraelit midis lidhjeve të parzmores së tij; prandaj mbreti i tha shqytarit të tij: “Kthehu dhe më ço larg përleshjes, sepse jam plagosur”.

Forsothe it bifelde, that oon of the puple schette an arewe in to vncerteyn, and smoot the kyng of Israel bitwixe the necke and the schuldris. And he seide to his charietere, Turne thin hond, and lede me out of the scheltrun; for Y am woundid.

34 Por beteja ishte aq e ashpër atë ditë sa që mbreti u detyrua të qëndrojë mbi qerren e tij përballë Sirëve deri në mbrëmje, dhe kur perëndoi dielli ai vdiq.

And the batel was endid in that dai. Certis the kyng of Israel stood in his chare ayens men of Sirye `til to euentid, and he diede, whanne the sunne yede doun.
