1 Thesalonikasve 2
1 Sepse ju vetë, vëllezër, e dini se ardhja jonë ndër ju nuk qe e kotë.
For ye your selues knowe, brethren, that our entrance in vnto you was not in vaine,
2 Por, mbasi hoqëm më parë dhe mbasi na shanë në Filipi, sikurse e dini, ne morëm guxim në Perëndinë tonë të shpallim ndër ju ungjillin e Perëndisë midis kaq përpjekjesh.
But euen after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated at Philippi, (as ye knowe) we were bolde in our God, to speake vnto you the Gospell of God with much striuing.
3 Sepse nxitja jonë nuk vjen nga mashtrimi, as nga qëllime të pa ndershme, as nga dredhia;
For our exhortation was not by deceite, nor by vncleannes, nor by guile.
4 por, duke qenë se u miratuam prej Perëndisë që të na besohet ungjilli, kështu ne flasim jo që t’u pëlqejmë njerëzve, por Perëndisë, që provon zemrat tona.
But as we were allowed of God, that the Gospel should be committed vnto vs, so we speake, not as they that please men, but God, which approoueth our hearts.
5 Ne, pra, nuk kemi përdorur kurrë, sikurse e dini mirë, fjalë lajkatuese, dhe as nuk jemi nisur nga motive lakmie; Perëndia është dëshmitar.
Neither yet did we euer vse flattering wordes, as ye knowe, nor coloured couetousnes, God is recorde.
6 Dhe nuk kemi kërkuar lavdi prej njerëzve, as prej jush, as prej të tjerësh, megjithëse mund t’ju bëheshim barrë si apostuj të Krishtit.
Neither sought we prayse of men, neither of you, nor of others, when we might haue bene chargeable, as the Apostles of Christ.
7 Përkundrazi qemë zemërbutë midis jush, ashtu si mëndesha që rrit me dashuri fëmijët e saj.
But we were gentle among you, euen as a nource cherisheth her children.
8 Kështu, duke pasur një dashuri të madhe ndaj jush, ishim të kënaqur duke ju komunikuar jo vetëm ungjillin e Perëndisë, por edhe vetë jetën tonë, sepse na u bëtë të dashur.
Thus being affectioned toward you, our good will was to haue dealt vnto you, not the Gospel of God onely, but also our owne soules, because ye were deare vnto vs.
9 Sepse ju, o vëllezër, e mbani mend lodhjen dhe mundimin tonë: si kemi punuar ditë e natë që të mos i bëhemi barrë asnjërit prej jush, dhe predikuam ungjillin e Perëndisë ndër ju.
For ye remember, brethren, our labour and trauaile: for we laboured day and night, because we would not be chargeable vnto any of you, and preached vnto you the Gospel of God.
10 Ju jeni dëshmitarë, dhe Perëndia gjithashtu, si jemi sjellë me shenjtëri, me drejtësi, pa të meta, me ju që besoni.
Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily, and iustly, and vnblameably we behaued our selues among you that beleeue.
11 Ju e dini gjithashtu se ne këshilluam, ngushëlluam dhe i jemi përbetuar secilit prej jush, si bën një baba me bijtë e vet,
As ye knowe how that we exhorted you, and comforted, and besought euery one of you (as a father his children)
12 që të ecni denjësisht për Perëndinë, që ju thërret në mbretërinë dhe lavdinë e tij.
That ye would walke worthy of God, who hath called you vnto his kingdome and glorie.
13 Prandaj edhe ne e falenderojmë pa pushim Perëndinë, se kur ju keni marrë nga ne fjalën e Perëndisë, e pritët atë jo si fjalë njerëzish, por, sikurse është me të vërtetë, si fjalë Perëndie, që vepron ndër ju që besoni.
For this cause also thanke we God without ceasing, that when ye receiued the worde of God, which ye heard of vs, ye receiued it not as the worde of men, but as it is in deede the worde of God, which also worketh in you that beleeue.
14 Sepse ju, o vëllezër, u bëtë imituesit e kishave të Perëndisë që janë në Jude në Jezu Krishtin, sepse edhe ju keni vuajtur nga ana e bashkëkombasve tuaj të njëjtat gjëra, sikurse edhe ata kanë vuajtur nga Judenjtë,
For brethren, ye are become folowers of the Churches of God, which in Iudea are in Christ Iesus, because ye haue also suffred the same things of your owne countrey men, euen as they haue of the Iewes,
15 të cilët e vranë Zotin Jezus dhe profetët e tyre, dhe na përndoqën edhe ne. Ata nuk i pëlqen Perëndia, dhe janë armiq me të gjithë njerëzit,
Who both killed the Lord Iesus and their owne Prophets, and haue persecuted vs away, and God they please not, and are contrary to all men,
16 duke na penguar që t’u flasim johebrenjve që ata të shpëtohen, për ta mbushur vazhdimisht masën e mëkateve të tyre; por zemërimi arriti mbi ta më në fund.
And forbid vs to preach vnto the Gentiles, that they might be saued, to fulfill their sinnes alwayes: for the wrath of God is come on them, to the vtmost.
17 Dhe ne, o vëllezër, mbasi mbetëm pa ju për një kohë të shkurtër, trupërisht por jo me zemër, u përpoqëm edhe më shumë, nga malli i madh, të shohim përsëri fytyrën tuaj.
For asmuch, brethren, as we were kept from you for a season, concerning sight, but not in the heart, we enforced the more to see your face with great desire.
18 Prandaj deshëm, të paktën unë Pali, të vijmë te ju jo një, por dy herë, por Satani na pengoi.
Therefore we would haue come vnto you (I Paul, at least once or twise) but Satan hindered vs.
19 Cila në fakt është shpresa jonë, a gëzimi, a kurora e lavdisë? A nuk jeni pikërisht ju, përpara Zotit tonë Jezu Krisht në ardhjen e tij?
For what is our hope or ioye, or crowne of reioycing? are not euen you it in the presence of our Lord Iesus Christ at his comming?
20 Ju jeni në fakt lavdia dhe gëzimi jonë.
Yea, ye are our glory and ioy.
