1 Mbreti Salomon mbretëronte mbi tërë Izraelin.

Now king Solomon was reigning over all of Israel.

2 Këta ishin funksionarët e tij të lartë: Azariahu, bir i priftit Tsadok,

And these were the leaders that he had: Azariah, the son of Zadok, the priest;

3 Elihorefi dhe Ahijahu, bij të Shishas, ishin sekretarë; Jozafati, bir i Ahiludit, ishte kancelier;

Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, the scribes; Jehoshaphat, the son of Ahilud, the keeper of records;

4 Benajahu, bir i Jehojadit, ishte komandant i ushtrisë; Tsadoku dhe Abiathari ishin priftërinjtë;

Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, over the army; and Zadok, and Abiathar, priests;

5 Azariahu, bir i Nathanit, ishte kryetar i prefektëve; Zabudi, bir i Nathanit, ishte prift dhe këshilltar personal i mbretit.

Azariah, the son of Nathan, over those who were assisting the king; Zabud, the son of Nathan, the priest, the friend of the king;

6 Ahishari ishte maxhordom dhe Adinorami, bir i Abdas, ishte caktuar për haraçet.

and Ahishar, first ruler of the house; and Adoniram, the son of Abda, over the tribute.

7 Salomoni kishte dymbëdhjetë prefektë në të gjithë Izraelin, të cilët kujdeseshin për mbajtjen e mbretit dhe të shtëpisë së tij; secili prej tyre ishte ngarkuar për tu kujdesur për një muaj në vit.

And Solomon had twelve commanders over all of Israel, who offered yearly provisions for the king and his house. For each was ministering the necessities, by each month of the year.

8 Këto janë emrat e tyre: Ben-Hur në krahinën malore të Efraimit;

And these are their names: Benhur, on mount Ephraim;

9 Ben-Dekjer në Makats, Shaalbim, Beth-Shemesh dhe Elon të Beth-Hananit;

Bendeker, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and in Beth-shemesh, and in Elon, and in Beth-hanan;

10 Ben-Hesed në Aruboth; Sokothi dhe tërë vendi i Heferit ishin pronë e tij;

Benhesed, in Arubboth: his was Socoh and the entire land of Hepher;

11 Ben-Abinabadi, në gjithë krahinën e Dorit; Tafatha, bijë e Salomonit, ishte gruaja e tij;

Benabinadab, to whom was all of Naphath-Dor, who had Taphath, the daughter of Solomon, as wife;

12 Baana, bir i Ahiludit, kishte Taanakun, Megidon dhe tërë Beth-Shenin, që është pranë Tsarethanit, poshtë Jizreelit, dhe që shtrihet nga Beth-Sheani deri në Abel-Meholahu dhe matanë Jokneamit.

Baana, the son of Ahilud, who was reigning in Taanach, and Megiddo, and all of Bethshean, which is beside Zarethan and below Jezreel, from Bethshean as far as Abelmeholah, opposite Jokmeam;

13 Ben-Geber, në Ramoth të Galaadit, kishte fshatrat e Jairit, birit të Manasit, në Galaad, si edhe Argobin në Bashan, gjashtëdhjetë qytete të mëdha me mure dhe shule prej bronzi;

Bengeber, in Ramoth Gilead, who had the town of Jair, the son of Manasseh, in Gilead; the same was first in the entire region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls that had bronze bars;

14 Ahinadabi, bir i Idos, në Mahanaim;

Ahinadab, the son of Iddo, who was first in Mahanaim;

15 Ahimatsi, në Neftali; edhe ai kishte për grua Basmethin, një nga bijat e Salomonit;

Ahimaaz, in Naphtali, and he also had Basemath, the daughter of Solomon, in marriage;

16 Banahun, bir i Hushait, në Asher dhe në Aloth;

Baana, the son of Hushai, in Asher and in Bealoth;

17 Jozafati, bir i Parnahut, në Isakar;

Jehoshaphat, the son of Paruah, in Issachar;

18 Shimei, bir i Elahut, në Beniamin;

Shimei, the son of Ela, in Benjamin;

19 Geberi, bir i Urit, në vendin e Galaadit, në vendin e Sihonit, mbretit të Amorejve, dhe të Ogut, mbretit të Bashanit; ai ishte i vetmi prefekt që ishte në vend.

Geber, the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, in the land of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and of Og, king of Bashan, over all who were in that land.

20 Juda dhe Izraeli ishin të shumtë si rëra që është në bregun e detit. Ata hanin dhe pinin me gaz.

Judah and Israel were innumerable, like the sand of the sea in multitude: eating and drinking, and rejoicing.

21 Kështu Salomoni sundone mbi gjithë mbretërinë nga Lumi deri në vendin e Filistejve dhe në kufijtë e Egjiptit. Këta i sillnin haraçe dhe i shërbyen tërë ditët e jetës së tij.

Now Solomon had, in his dominion, all the kingdoms, from the river to the land of the Philistines, even to the border of Egypt. And they offered gifts to him, and they served him all the days of his life.

22 Furnizimi ditor i ushqimeve për Salomonin përbëhej nga tridhjetë kore lule dielli dhe gjashtëdhjetë kore mielli të zakonshëm,

And the provisions of Solomon, for each day, were thirty cor of fine wheat flour, and sixty cor of meal,

23 dhjetë qe të majmë, njëzet qe të kullotës dhe njëqind dele pa llogaritur drerët, gazelat, kapronjtë dhe shpendët e majmë.

ten fattened oxen, and twenty oxen from the pastures, and one hundred rams, aside from the venison of stags, roe deer, and gazelles, and fattened poultry.

24 Ai sundonte gjithë vendin nga kjo anë e Lumit, nga Tifsahu deri në Gaza, mbi tërë mbretërit nga kjo anë e Lumit, dhe jetonte në paqe me të gjithë shtetet kufitare që ishin rreth e qark.

For he had obtained the entire region which was beyond the river, from Tiphsah as far as Gaza, and all the kings of those regions. And he had peace on every side all around.

25 Juda dhe Izraeli, nga Dani deri në Beer-Sheba, jetuan të sigurtë, secili nën pjergullën dhe fikun e tij, tërë kohën që mbretëroi Salomoni.

And so, Judah and Israel were living without any fear, each one under his own vine and under his own fig tree, from Dan as far as Beersheba, during all the days of Solomon.

26 Salomoni kishte gjithashtu dyzet mijë stalla kuajsh për qerret e tij dhe dymbëdhjetë mijë kalorës.

And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of chariot horses, and twelve thousand riding horses.

27 Këta prefektë, secili në muajin e tij, merreshin me mbajtjen e mbretit Salomon dhe të gjithë atyre që pranoheshin në tryezën e tij; dhe nuk linin t’u mungonte asgjë.

And the above-stated commanders of the king nourished these. And they also offered the necessities for the table of king Solomon, with immense diligence, each in his time.

28 Sillnin edhe elbin dhe kashtën për kuajt dhe mushkat në vendin e duhur, secili sipas urdhrave që kishte marrë.

Also, they brought barley and straw for the horses and beasts of burden, to the place where the king was, just as it was appointed to them.

29 Perëndia i dha Salomonit dituri, zgjuarsi të madhe dhe një mëndje të hollë si rëra që është në bregun e detit.

And God gave wisdom to Solomon, and an exceedingly great prudence, and a spacious heart, like the sand which is on the shore of the sea.

30 Dhe dituria e Salomonit ia kaloi diturisë të të gjithë bijve të Lindjes dhe tërë diturisë të Egjiptasve.

And the wisdom of Solomon surpassed the wisdom of all the East, and of the Egyptians.

31 Ai ishte më i ditur se çdo njeri tjetër: më tepër se Ezrahiti Ethan; më tepër se Hemani, se Kakoli dhe se Darda, bijtë e Maholit; dhe fama e tij u përhap në të gjitha kombet e afërta.

And he was wiser than all men: wiser than Ethan, the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And he was renowned in all the nations on every side.

32 Shqiptoi tre mijë proverba dhe kantikët e tij qenë një mijë e pesëqind.

Solomon also spoke three thousand parables. And his verses were one thousand and five.

33 Foli edhe për drurët, nga kedri i Libanit deri në isopin që mbin nga muri; foli gjithashtu për kafshët, për zogjtë, për rrëshqanorët dhe për peshqit.

And he discoursed about trees, from the cedar which is in Lebanon, to the hyssop which grows out from the wall. And he explained about beasts, and birds, and reptiles, and fish.

34 Nga të gjithë popujt vinin njerëz për të dëgjuar diturinë e Salomonit; ata ishin të dërguar nga tërë mbretërit e dheut që kishin dëgjuar të flitej për diturinë e tij.

And they came from all the peoples in order to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who were hearing about his wisdom.
