1 i Mbretërve 20
1 Ben-Hadadi, mbret i Sirisë, mblodhi tërë ushtrinë e tij; me të ishin tridhjetë e dy mbretër me kuaj dhe qerre; pastaj u nis, rrethoi Samarinë dhe e sulmoi.
And Ben Hadad [the] king of Aram he gathered all army his and thirty and two king[s] [were] with him and horse[s] and chariotry and he went up and he laid siege on Samaria and he fought against it.
2 Pastaj i dërgoi lajmëtarë në qytet Ashabit, mbretit të Izraelit, për t’i thënë:
And he sent messengers to Ahab [the] king of Israel the city towards. And he said to him thus he says Ben Hadad
3 “Kështu thotë Ben-Hadadi: “Argjendi dhe ari yt janë të mitë, po kështu bashkëshortet e tua dhe bijtë e tu më të mirë janë të mitë””.
silver your and gold your [belongs] to me it and wives your and children your good [belong] to me they.
4 Mbreti i Izraelit u përgjigj: “Éshtë ashtu si thua ti, o mbret, o imzot; unë dhe tërë ato që kam jemi të tutë”.
And he answered [the] king of Israel and he said according to word your O lord my the king [belong] to you I and all that [belongs] to me.
5 Lajmëtarët e kthyen përsëri dhe thanë: “Kështu flet Ben-Hadadi: “Unë të çova fjalë se duhet të më japësh argjendin dhe arin tënd, gratë e tua dhe bijtë e tu;
And they returned the messengers and they said thus he says Ben Hadad saying that I sent to you saying silver your and gold your and wives your and children your to me you will give.
6 por nesër, në këtë orë, do të dërgoj te ti shërbëtorët e mi, të cilët do të bastisin shtëpinë tënde dhe shtëpinë e shërbëtorëve të tu; ata do të marrin të gjitha gjërat që janë me të shtrenjta për ty””.
That - except about this time tomorrow I will send servants my to you and they will search house your and [the] houses of servants your and it will be every desirable thing of eyes your they will put in hand their and they will take [it].
7 Atëherë mbreti i Izraelit thirri tërë pleqtë e vendit dhe u tha: “Shikoni, ju lutem, se si ky njeri kërkon shkatërrimin tonë, sepse më ka dërguar të kërkojë gratë e mia dhe bijtë e mi, argjendin dhe arin tim, dhe unë nuk i kam refuzuar asgjë”.
And he summoned [the] king of Israel all [the] elders of the land and he said know please and see that trouble this [man] [is] seeking for he sent to me for wives my and for children my and for silver my and for gold my and not I withheld [them] from him.
8 Tërë pleqtë dhe tërë populli thanë: “Mos e dëgjo dhe mos prano”.
And they said to him all the elders and all the people may not you listen and not you must be willing.
9 Ashabi iu përgjigj pastaj lajmëtarëve të Ben-Hadadit: “I thoni mbretit, zotit time: “Të gjitha gjërat që i kërkove shërbëtorit tënd herën e parë do t’i bëj, por këtë nuk mund ta bëj””. Kështu lajmëtarët shkuan t’i njoftojnë përgjigjen Ben-Hadadit.
And he said to [the] messengers of Ben Hadad say to lord my the king all that you sent to servant your at the first I will do and the thing this not I am able to do and they went the messengers and they brought back him word.
10 Atëherë Ben-Hadadi i çoi fjalë Ashabit: “Perënditë të më bëjnë kështu dhe më keq në rast se pluhuri i Samarisë do të mjaftojë që të mbushin grushtat tërë njerëzit që më pasojnë!”.
And he sent to him Ben Hadad and he said thus may they do! to me [the] gods and thus may they add if it will suffice [the] dust of Samaria for handfuls for all the people which [is] at feet my.
11 Mbreti i Izraelit u përgjigj: “I thoni: “Ai që ka armaturën në trup të mos lavdërohet si ai që e heq””.
And he answered [the] king of Israel and he said speak may not he boast [one who] girds on like [one who] loosens.
12 Kur Ben-Hadadi mori këtë përgjigje, ai ndodhej bashkë me mbretërit duke pirë në çadrat, dhe u tha shërbëtorëve të tij: “Bëhuni gati për mësymje!”. Kështu ata u përgatitën për të sulmuar qytetin.
And it was when heard the word this and he [was] drinking he and the kings in the booths and he said to servants his set yourselves and they set themselves on the city.
13 Por ja që një profet iu afrua Ashabit, mbretit të Izraelit, dhe i tha: “Kështu thotë Zoti: “E shikon këtë turmë të madhe? Ja, që sot unë do ta lë në dorën tënde dhe kështu do të mësosh që unë jam Zoti””.
And there! - a prophet one he drew near to Ahab [the] king of Israel and he said thus he says Yahweh ¿ do you see all the multitude great this here I [am] about to give it in hand your this day and you will know that I [am] Yahweh.
14 Ashabi i tha: “Me anë të kujt?”. Ai u përgjigj: “Kështu thotë Zoti: “Me anë të të rinjve në shërbim të krerëve të krahinave””. Ashabi tha: Kush do ta fillojë betejën?”. Profeti u përgjigj: “Ti”.
And he said Ahab by whom? and he said thus he says Yahweh by [the] young men of [the] officials of the provinces and he said who? will he begin the battle and he said you.
15 Atëherë Ashabi kaloi në revistë të rinjtë që ishin në shërbim të krerëve të krahinave; ata ishin dyqind e tridhjetë e dy veta. Pastaj kaloi në revistë tërë popullin, tërë bijtë e Izraelit; ishin shtatë mijë veta.
And he mustered [the] young men of [the] officials of the provinces and they were two hundred two and thirty and after them he mustered all the people all [the] people of Israel [were] seven thousand.
16 Në mesditë bënë një dalje, ndërsa Ben-Hadadi ishte duke pirë dhe duke u dehur bashkë me tridhjetë e dy mbretërit që i kishin ardhur në ndihmë.
And they went out at the noontide and Ben Hadad [was] drinking drunken in the booths he and the kings thirty and two king[s] [who] was helping him.
17 Të rinjtë në shërbim të krerëve të krahinave dolën të parët. Ben-Hadadi dërgoi njerëz për të parë dhe ata i njoftuan: “Nga Samaria kanë dalë disa njerëz”.
And they went out [the] young men of [the] officials of the provinces at the first and he sent Ben Hadad and people told to him saying men they have come out from Samaria.
18 Mbreti tha: “Në rast se kanë dalë me qëllime paqësore, i zini të gjallë; në qoftë se kanë dalë për të luftuar, i zini gjithashtu të gjallë”.
And he said if for peace they have come out seize them alive and if for battle they have come out alive seize them.
19 Kështu të rinjtë në shërbim të krerëve të krahinave dolën nga qyteti bashkë me ushtrinë që i pasonte,
And these [men] they went out from the city [the] young men of [the] officials of the provinces and the army which [was] behind them.
20 dhe secili prej tyre vrau nga një njeri. Kështu Sirët ua mbathën këmbëve dhe Izraelitët i ndoqën; dhe Ben-Hadadi, mbret i Sirisë, iku me kalë bashkë me disa kalorës.
And they struck down everyone man his and they fled Aram and it pursued them Israel and he escaped Ben Hadad [the] king of Aram on a horse and horsemen.
21 Edhe mbreti i Izraelit mori pjesë në luftimet, shkatërroi kuaj dhe qerre dhe u shkaktoi Sirëve një disfatë të madhe.
And he went out [the] king of Israel and he struck down the horse[s] and the chariotry and he struck down among Aram a slaughter great.
22 Atëherë profeti iu afrua mbretit të Izraelit dhe i tha: “Shko, përforcohu dhe mendo mirë atë që duhet të bësh, sepse mbas një viti mbreti i Sirisë do të të sulmojë”.
And he drew near the prophet to [the] king of Israel and he said to him go strengthen yourself and know and see [that] which you will do for to [the] return of the year [the] king of Aram [is] coming up on you.
23 Shërbëtorët e mbretit të Sirisë i thanë: “Perëndia i tyre është Perëndia i maleve; prandaj ata qenë më të fortë se ne; por në rast se ndeshemi në fushë, ne do të jemi me siguri më të fortë.
And [the] servants of [the] king of Aram they said to him [is] a god of mountains God their there-fore they were strong more than us and but let us do battle with them on the level ground if not we will be strong more than them.
24 Prandaj vepro kështu: tërë mbretërve hiqua komandën që kanë dhe në vend të tyre cakto kapedanë.
And the thing this do remove the kings each from place his and appoint governors in place of them.
25 Mblidh një ushtri baras me atë që ke humbur, me po aq kuaj dhe qerre; pastaj do të ndeshemi në fushë dhe me siguri do të jemi më të fortë se ata”. Ai pranoi këshillën e tyre dhe veproi ashtu siç i thanë.
And you you will muster for yourself - an army like the army which fell from you and a horse like the horse - and chariotry like the chariotry and let us fight them on the level ground if not we will be strong more than them and he listened to voice their and he did thus.
26 Pas një viti Ben-Hadadi kaloi në revistë Sirët dhe doli në drejtim të Afekut për të luftuar Izraelin.
And it was to [the] return of the year and he mustered Ben Hadad Aram and he went up Aphek towards for battle with Israel.
27 Edhe bijtë e Izraelit u thirrën për t’u mbledhur dhe u furnizuan me ushqime; pastaj u nisën kundër Sirëve dhe ngritën kampin e tyre përballë tyre; dukeshin si dy kope të vogla dhish, ndërsa Sirët e kishin mbushur vendin.
And [the] people of Israel they were mustered and they were supplied and they went to meet them and they encamped [the] people of Israel before them like two little flocks of goats and Aram they filled the land.
28 Atëherë një njeri i Perëndisë iu afrua mbretit të Izraelit dhe i tha: “Kështu thotë Zoti: “Me qenë se Sirët kanë thënë: Zoti është Perëndia i maleve dhe nuk është Perëndia i luginave unë do të jap në duart e tua tërë këtë mizëri të madhe; dhe ju do të mësoni që unë jam Zoti””.
And he drew near [the] man of God and he said to [the] king of Israel and he said thus he says Yahweh because that they have said Aram [is] a god of mountains Yahweh and not [is] a god of valleys he and I will give all the multitude great this in hand your and you will know that I [am] Yahweh.
29 Shtatë ditë me radhë qëndruan në kampet e tyre njeri përballë tjetrit, por ditën e shtatë filloi beteja dhe bijtë e Izraelit vranë brenda një dite të vetme njëqind mijë këmbësorë sirë.
And they encamped these opposite to these seven days and it was - on the day seventh and it drew near the battle and they struck down [the] people of Israel Aram one hundred thousand foot soldier[s] in a day one.
30 Ata që shpëtuan ikën në qytetin e Afekut, ku muret ranë mbi njëzet e shtatë mijë prej tyre. Edhe Ben-Hadadi iku dhe shkoi në qytet përt’u fshehur në një dhomë të brendshme.
And they fled the [ones who] remained - Aphek towards into the city and it fell the wall on twenty and seven thousand man who remained and Ben Hadad he fled and he went into the city a room in a room.
31 Shërbëtorët e tij i thanë: “Ja, kemi dëgjuar të thuhet që mbretërit e shtëpisë së Izraelit janë zemërbutë; prandaj të veshim thasë dhe të vëmë litarë në qafë dhe të dalim të presim mbretin e Izraelit; ndofta ai ka për të na lënë të gjallë”.
And they said to him servants his here! please we have heard that [the] kings of [the] house of Israel that [are] kings of covenant loyalty they let us put please sackcloth on loins our and ropes on head our and let us go out to [the] king of Israel perhaps he will let live life your.
32 Kështu ata u veshën me thasë dhe vunë litarë në qafë, shkuan te mbreti i Izraelit dhe i thanë: “Shërbëtori yt Ben-Hadadi thotë: “Të lutem, lërmë të gjallë””. Ashabi u përgjigj: “Éshtë ende gjallë? Ai është vëllai im”.
And they girded sackcloth on loins their and ropes on heads their and they went to [the] king of Israel and they said servant your Ben Hadad he says let it live please life my and he said ¿ [is] still he alive [is] brother my he.
33 Këta njerëz e muarrën këtë si shenjë të mbarë dhe nxituan të kërkonin vërtetimin e kësaj thënie, duke thënë: “Ben-Hadadi është, pra, vëllai yt!”. Ai u përgjigj: “Shkoni ta merrni”. Kështu Ben-Hadadi shkoi te Ashabi, që e hipi në qerren e tij.
And the men they observed [the] signs and they hastened and they caught ¿ from him and they said [is] brother your Ben Hadad and he said go fetch him and he came out to him Ben Hadad and he brought up him on the chariot.
34 Atëherë Ben-Hadadi i tha: “Unë do të të kthej qytetet që ati im i hoqi atit tënd; dhe kështu ti do të vendosësh tregje në Damask, ashtu si kishte bërë im atë në Samari”. Ashabi i tha: “Me këtë kusht do të të lë të ikësh”; kështu Ashabi lidhi një besëlidhje me të dhe e la të ikë.
And he said to him the cities which he took father my from with father your I will return and streets you will make for yourself in Damascus just as he made father my in Samaria and I with the covenant I will let go you and he made to him a covenant and he let go him.
35 Atëherë një nga bijtë e profetëve i tha shokut të tij me urdhër të Zotit: “Më godit!”. Por ky nuk pranoi ta godasë.
And a man one one of [the] sons of the prophets he said to companion his at [the] word of Yahweh strike me please and he refused the man to strike him.
36 Atëherë i pari i tha: “Me qenë se nuk iu binde zërit të Zotit, sapo të largohesh nga unë një luan do të të vrasë”. Kështu, me t’u larguar nga ai, doli një luan dhe e vrau.
And he said to him because that not you listened to [the] voice of Yahweh here you [are] about to go from with me and it will strike down you the lion and he went from beside him and it met him the lion and it struck down him.
37 Pastaj profeti gjeti një njeri dhe i tha: “Më godit!”. Ky e rrahu dhe e plagosi.
And he found a man another and he said strike me please and he struck him the man completely and wounded.
38 Atëherë profeti shkoi ta presë mbretin në rrugë, duke u maskuar me një rryp pëlhure mbi sytë.
And he went the prophet and he stood for the king (beside *LH) the way and he disguised himself with ashes over eyes his.
39 Kur po kalonte mbreti, i thirri dhe i tha: “Shërbëtori yt u fut në mes të betejës, kur dikush u tërhoq mënjanë dhe më solli një njeri, duke më thënë: “Ruaje këtë njeri; në rast se vritet, do ta paguash me jetën tënde ose do të paguash një talent argjendi”.
And he was the king passing by and he he cried out to the king and he said servant your - he went out in [the] midst of the battle and there! a man he turned aside and he brought to me a man and he said guard the man this if indeed he will be missing and it will be life your in place of life his or a talent of silver you will weigh out.
40 Ndërsa shërbëtori yt ishte i zënë sa andej e këtej, ai person u zhduk”. Mbreti i Izraelit i tha: “Ja vendimi yt; e ke shqiptuar ti vetë”.
And he was servant your doing them and them and he there not [was] he and he said to him [the] king of Israel [is] thus sentence your you you have decided.
41 Atëherë ai hoqi me nxitim nga sytë rripin e përlhurës dhe mbreti i Izraelit e pa që ishte një nga profetët.
And he hastened and he removed the bandage (from over *Qk) eyes his and he recognized him [the] king of Israel that [was] one of the prophets he.
42 Pastaj profeti i tha mbretit: “Kështu thotë Zoti: “Me qenë se e le të të shpëtojë nga dora njeriun që kisha caktuar të shfarosej, jeta jote ka për tu paguar për të tijën dhe populli yt për popullin e tij”.
And he said to him thus he says Yahweh because you have let go [the] man of total destruction my from a hand and it will be life your in place of life his and people your in place of people his.
43 Kështu mbreti i Izraelit u kthye në shtëpinë e tij i hidhëruar dhe i zemëruar, dhe shkoi në Samari.
And he went [the] king of Israel to house his sullen and furious and he went Samaria towards.
