Whoever keeps the law is a wise son; but he who is a companion of gluttons shames his father.

যি জনে বিধান পালন কৰে, তেওঁ সুবিবেচনা থকা সন্তানৰ দৰে; কিন্তু যি জনৰ ভোজনবিলাসী সঙ্গী থাকে, তেওঁ নিজৰ পিতৃক লাজ দিয়ে।

जो व्यवस्था का पालन करता वह समझदार सुपूत होता है, परन्तु उड़ाऊ का संगी अपने पिता का मुँह काला करता है।
नियमों का पालन करता है बुद्धिमान संतान, किंतु पेटू का साथी अपने पिता को लज्जा लाता है.

ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ವಿವೇಕಿಯಾದ ಮಗನು, ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಬಾಕರ ಗೆಳೆಯನು ತಂದೆಯ ಮಾನವನ್ನು ಕಳೆಯುವನು.

ന്യായപ്രമാണം പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവൻ ബുദ്ധിയുള്ള മകൻ; ഭോജനപ്രീയന്മാർക്കു സഖിയായവൻ പിതാവിനെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു.
