Numbers 5:27
When he has made her drink the water, then it shall happen, if she is defiled and has committed a trespass against her husband, that the water that causes the curse will enter into her and become bitter, and her body will swell, and her thigh will fall away; and the woman will be a curse among her people.

| وَمَتَى سَقَاهَا ٱلْمَاءَ، فَإِنْ كَانَتْ قَدْ تَنَجَّسَتْ وَخَانَتْ رَجُلَهَا، يَدْخُلُ فِيهَا مَاءُ ٱللَّعْنَةِ لِلْمَرَارَةِ، فَيَرِمُ بَطْنُهَا وَتَسْقُطُ فَخْذُهَا، فَتَصِيرُ ٱلْمَرْأَةُ لَعْنَةً فِي وَسَطِ شَعْبِهَا. |

যদি সে নিজেকে কলুষিত করে থাকে এবং তার স্বামীর প্রতি অবিশ্বস্ত হয়ে থাকে, তাহলে সে যখন শাপবাহী ওই জলপান করবে, সেটি তার উদরে প্রবেশ করে দুঃসহ যন্ত্রণা সৃষ্টি করবে; তার উদর স্ফীত হবে ও ঊরুদেশ নিশ্চল হয়ে যাবে। সে তার গোষ্ঠীর মধ্যে অভিশপ্ত প্রতিপন্ন হবে।
