“‘You shall take no ransom for him who has fled to his city of refuge, that he may come again to dwell in the land before the death of the priest.

আৰু যি মানুহ আশ্ৰয় নগৰলৈ পলাই গ’ল, সেই মানুহ পুৰোহিত নৌ মৰোঁতেই দেশত বাস কৰিবলৈ উলটি আহিবৰ বাবে প্ৰায়শ্চিত্ত নল’বা।

যে কেউ তার আশ্রয় শহরে পালিয়ে গেছে, সে যেন যাজকের মৃত্যুর আগে পুনরায় দেশে এসে বাস করতে পায়, এই জন্য তার থেকে কোন প্রায়শ্চিত্ত গ্রহণ করবে না।
“‘যে ব্যক্তি আশ্রয়-নগরে পলায়ন করেছে, তার কাছ থেকে কোনো মুক্তিপণ নেবে না এবং মহাযাজকের মৃত্যু হওয়ার আগেই তাকে ফিরে যেতে ও নিজস্ব নিবাস ভূমিতে বসবাস করার অনুমতি দেবে না।

Ihr sollt auch keine Gegengabe dafür nehmen, daß einer in seine Zufluchtsstadt flieht und dann heimkehrt, bevor der Priester gestorben ist!

મુખ્ય યાજકનું મરણ થાય ત્યાં સુધી આશ્રયનગરમાં રક્ષણ લેનાર મનુષ્યઘાતક પાસેથી કોઈ પણ પ્રકારની રકમ લઈને તેને ઘરે પાછા ફરવા માટેની રજા આપી શકાય નહિ.

और जो किसी शरणनगर में भागा हो उसके लिये भी इस मतलब से जुर्माना न लेना, कि वह याजक के मरने से पहले फिर अपने देश में रहने को लौटने पाए।
“‘तुम उस व्यक्ति से बदले में मूल्य नहीं लोगे, जो अपने शरण शहर से भागा हुआ है, कि वह महापुरोहित की मृत्यु के पहले ही अपने देश जाकर रह सके.
