Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD when they offered strange fire before the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children. Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest’s office in the presence of Aaron their father.

| إِلاَّ أَنَّ نَادَابَ وَأَبِيهُو مَاتَا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الرَّبِّ عِنْدَمَا قَرَّبَا نَاراً غَرِيبَةً أَمَامَهُ فِي صَحْرَاءِ سِينَاءَ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمَا بَنُون. وَأَمَّا أَلِعَازَارُ وَإِيثَامَارُ فَقَدْ قَامَا بِخِدْمَةِ الْكَهَنُوتِ تَحْتَ رِعَايَةِ أَبِيهِمَا هَرُونَ. |

কিন্তু নাদব ও অবীহূ সীনয় মরুপ্রান্তে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে ইতর আগুন নিবেদন করার জন্য সদাপ্রভুর সামনে প্রাণত্যাগ করেছিল; তাদের সন্তান ছিল না; আর ইলীয়াসর ও ঈথামর তাদের বাবা হারোণের সাক্ষাৎে যাজকের কাজ করত।

А Надав и Авиуд умряха пред Господа, като принасяха чужд огън пред Господа в Синайската пустиня; и нямаха чада; а Елеазар и Итамар свещенодействуваха в присъствието на баща си Аарона.

But, while Yahweh was watching, Nadab and Abihu died in the Sinai Desert because they burned [incense] in a manner that was different from what Yahweh had commanded. They had no sons, so Eleazar and Ithamar were the [only] sons of Aaron who [were left to be] priests, along with their father Aaron.
