Nehemiah 9:8
found his heart faithful before you, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite, to give it to his offspring, and have performed your words, for you are righteous.

| وَقَدْ وَجَدْتَ قَلْبَهُ خَالِصَ الْوَلاَءِ لَكَ، فَقَطَعْتَ لَهُ عَهْداً أَنْ تَهَبَهُ أَرْضَ الْكَنْعَانِيِّينَ وَالْحِثِّيِّينَ وَالأَمُورِيِّينَ وَالْفَرِزِّيِّينَ وَالْيَبُوسِيِّينَ وَالْجِرْجَاشِيِّينَ فَيَرِثَهَا نَسْلُهُ. وَقَدْ حَقَّقْتَ وَعْدَكَ لأَنَّكَ صَادِقٌ. |

তুমি তার অন্তর বিশ্বস্ত দেখে কনানীয়, হিত্তীয়, ইমোরীয়, পরিষীয়, যিবূষীয় ও গির্গাশীয়ের দেশ তার বংশকে দেবার জন্য, তার সঙ্গে নিয়ম স্থাপন করেছিলে। তুমি ধর্মময় বলে তোমার প্রতিজ্ঞা তুমি রক্ষা করেছিলে।
и като си намерил сърцето му вярно пред Тебе, направил си с него завет, че ще дадеш земята на ханаанците, хетейците, аморейците, ферезейците, евусейците и гергесейците, - че ще я дадеш на потомството му; и изпълнил си думите Си, защото си праведен.

You saw that he was trustworthy. Then you made (an agreement with/a promise to) him, saying that you would give [to him and] to his descendants the land that the descendants of Canaan, Heth, Amor, Periz, Jebus, and Girgash lived in. And you have done what you promised, because you always do what is right.
