“For behold, the day comes, burning like a furnace, when all the proud and all who work wickedness will be stubble. The day that comes will burn them up,” says the LORD of Armies, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.

| «انْظُرُوا، هَا يَوْمُ الْقَضَاءِ مُقْبِلٌ، لاَهِبٌ كَتَنُّورٍ يَكُونُ فِيهِ جَمِيعُ الْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ وَفَاعِلِي الإِثْمِ عُصَافَةً، فَيُحْرِقُهُمْ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ وَلاَ يُبْقِي لَهُمْ أَصْلاً وَلاَ فَرْعاً، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ الْقَدِيرُ. |

Denn fürwahr, der Tag kommt, brennend heiß wie das Feuer im Ofen. Alle Übermütigen und alle, die Frevelthaten verübten, werden dann Stoppeln sein, und der Tag, der da kommt, spricht Jahwe der Heerscharen, wird sie versengen, so daß weder Wurzel noch Zweig von ihnen übrig bleibt.
Denn siehe, es kommt ein Tag, der brennen soll wie ein Ofen; da werden alle Verächter und Gottlosen Stroh sein, und der künftige Tag wird sie anzünden, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, und wird ihnen weder Wurzel noch Zweig lassen.
