Leviticus 17:14
For as to the life of all flesh, its blood is with its life. Therefore I said to the children of Israel, “You shall not eat the blood of any kind of flesh; for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.”

| لأَنَّ حَيَاةَ كُلِّ مَخْلُوقٍ هِيَ دَمُهُ، وَلِهَذَا أَوْصَيْتُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَلاَّ يَأْكُلُوا دَمَ جَسَدٍ مَا، لأَنَّ حَيَاةَ كُلِّ جَسَدٍ هِيَ دَمُهُ، وَكُلُّ مَنْ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ يُسْتَأْصَلُ. |
কিয়নো প্ৰত্যেক প্ৰাণীৰ প্ৰাণ তেজত থাকে; এই হেতুকে মই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলক ক’লোঁ, “তোমালোকে কোনো প্ৰাণীৰ তেজ নাখাবা; কিয়নো প্ৰত্যেক প্ৰাণীৰ তেজেই তাৰ প্ৰাণ; যিকোনোৱে তাক খাব, তেওঁ উচ্ছন্ন হ’ব।”

This is because the life of every creature is in its blood. And that is why I have said [DOU] to you Israelis that anyone who eats blood must no longer [be allowed to associate with my people].

Denn jedes Fleisches Leben ist sein Blut kraft seines Lebensodems. Darum sage ich zu den Söhnen Israels: Von keinem Fleische dürft ihr das Blut genießen. Denn jedes Fleisches Leben ist sein Blut. Jeder werde ausgestrichen, der es genießt!

Denn die Seele alles Fleisches: sein Blut, das ist seine Seele; und ich habe zu den Kindern Israel gesagt: Das Blut irgend welches Fleisches sollt ihr nicht essen, denn die Seele alles Fleisches ist sein Blut; jeder, der es isset, soll ausgerottet werden. -
Denn das Leben eines jeden Leibes besteht in seinem das Leben enthaltenden Blute. Daher gebot ich den Israeliten: Von keinem Leibe dürft ihr das Blut genießen: Denn das Leben eines jeden Leibes besteht in seinem Blute - jeder, der es genießt, soll hinweggetilgt werden!

Διότι η ζωή πάσης σαρκός είναι το αίμα αυτής· διά την ζωήν αυτής είναι· όθεν είπα προς τους υιούς Ισραήλ, Δεν θέλετε φάγει αίμα ουδεμιάς σαρκός· διότι η ζωή πάσης σαρκός είναι το αίμα αυτής· πας ο τρώγων αυτό θέλει εξολοθρευθή.
