Then he called hastily to the young man, his armor bearer, and said to him, “Draw your sword and kill me, that men not say of me, ‘A woman killed him.’ His young man thrust him through, and he died.”

তেতিয়া অবীমেলকে ততাতৈয়াকৈ নিজৰ অস্ত্রবহনকাৰী যুবকক মাতি ক’লে, “তোমাৰ তৰোৱাল উলিয়াই মোক বধ কৰা যাতে কোনেও মোৰ বিষয়ে এইদৰে ক’ব নোৱাৰে যে ‘এগৰাকী মহিলাই মোক বধ কৰিলে’।” তেতিয়া সেই যুবকে তেওঁক তৰোৱালেৰে খুচিলে আৰু তেওঁৰ মৃত্যু হ’ল।

তখন অবীমেলক তাড়াতাড়ি তার অস্ত্র-বহনকারীকে ডেকে বলল, “তুমি তরোয়াল টেনে বের করো ও আমাকে হত্যা করো, যেন তারা বলতে না পারে যে, ‘একজন স্ত্রীলোক তাকে হত্যা করেছে।’” অতএব তার দাস তাকে বিদ্ধ করল, ও সে মারা গেল।

Then Abimelech called hastily his page that bare his harneis, and sayde vnto him, Drawe thy sworde and slay me, that men say not of me, A woman slewe him. And his page thrust him thorowe, and he dyed.

Abimelech quickly called to the young man who carried Abimelech’s weapons, and said, “Pull out your sword and kill me with it! I do not want people to say ‘It was a woman who killed Abimelech.’” So the young man thrust his sword into Abimelech, and Abimelech died.
Then he called urgently to the young man who was his armor-bearer, and said to him, “Draw your sword and kill me, so no one will say about me, 'A woman killed him.'” So his young man pierced him through, and he died.

Da rief er schnell seinen Waffenträger herbei und befahl ihm: »Ziehe dein Schwert und töte mich vollends, damit man mir nicht nachsagen kann, ein Weib habe mich umgebracht!« Da durchbohrte ihn sein Waffenträger, und er starb.
Da rief Abimelech eilends seinen Waffenträger und sprach zu ihm: Ziehe dein Schwert und töte mich, daß man nicht von mir sage: Ein Weib hat ihn ermordet! Da durchstach ihn sein Diener, und er starb.
Und er rief eilends den Jungen, der ihm die Waffen trug, und sprach zu ihm: Zieh dein Schwert heraus und töte mich, daß sie nicht von mir sagen: Ein Weib hat ihn erwürgt. Und der Junge durchstach ihn, und er starb.

καὶ ἐβόησεν ταχὺ πρὸς τὸ παιδάριον τὸ αἶρον τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ σπάσον τὴν ῥομφαίαν μου καὶ θανάτωσόν με μήποτε εἴπωσιν γυνὴ ἀπέκτεινεν αὐτόν καὶ ἐξεκέντησεν αὐτὸν τὸ παιδάριον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀπέθανεν
પછી તેણે તરત એક જુવાનને બોલાવીને એટલે જે તેનો શસ્ત્રવાહક હતો તેને કહ્યું, “તારી તલવાર કાઢીને મને મારી નાખ, કે કોઈ મારા વિષે એમ ન કહે, ‘એક સ્ત્રીએ મને મારી નાખ્યો.’ તેથી તે જુવાને તેને તલવારથી મારી નાખ્યો અને તે મરણ પામ્યો.
