সেই নগৰৰ ভিতৰত এটা দৃঢ় দুৰ্গ আছিল; সকলো পুৰুষ, মহিলা আৰু নগৰৰ নেতাসকল তালৈ পলাই গৈ দুৱাৰ বন্ধ কৰি নিজকে ভিতৰত আবদ্ধ কৰিলে। তাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোক দুর্গৰ চালৰ ওপৰত উঠিলগৈ।

परन्तु उस नगर के बीच एक दृढ़ गुम्मट था, इसलिए क्या स्त्री क्या पुरुष, नगर के सब लोग भागकर उसमें घुसे; और उसे बन्द करके गुम्मट की छत पर चढ़ गए।
किंतु नगर के बीच में एक मजबूत मीनार था. नगर के बचे हुए सभी स्त्री-पुरुषों ने एवं अगुओं ने भागकर उसी में सहारा लिया और दरवाजे बंद कर लिए और वे सब मीनार की छत पर चढ़ गए.
