ಯೋತಾಮನು ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬೇರಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದನು.

യോഥാം ബേരിലേക്കു പലായനംചെയ്തു. തന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അബീമെലെക്കിനെ ഭയന്ന് അവിടെ പാർത്തു.
नंतर योथाम पळून गेला व आपला भाऊ अबीमलेख ह्याच्या भीती पोटी तो बैर येथे जाऊन राहिला.
