He arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart; and the young lady’s father said, “Please strengthen your heart and stay until the day declines;” and they both ate.

ثُمَّ نَهَضَ فِي الْيَوْمِ الْخَامِسِ مُبَكِّراً تَأَهُّباً لِلرَّحِيلِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو الْفَتَاةِ: «تَنَاوَلْ لُقْمَةً تَسْنِدُ بِهَا قَلْبَكَ، وَانْطَلِقُوا عِنْدَ الْغُرُوبِ». فَبَقِيَ الرَّجُلُ وَأَكَلاَ مَعاً.

पाँचवें दिन भोर को वह तो विदा होने को सवेरे उठा; परन्तु स्त्री के पिता ने कहा, “अपना जी ठंडा कर, और तुम दोनों दिन ढलने तक रुके रहो।” तब उन दोनों ने रोटी खाई।
पांचवें दिन बड़े तड़के वह यात्रा के लिए निकलने लगा. स्त्री के पिता ने उससे विनती की, “कृपा कर अपना जी ठंडा करो और शाम तक और ठहर जाओ.” सो उन दोनों ने भोजन किया.
