Then the five men departed and came to Laish and saw the people who were there, how they lived in safety, in the way of the Sidonians, quiet and secure; for there was no one in the land possessing authority, that might put them to shame in anything, and they were far from the Sidonians, and had no dealings with anyone else.

| فَمَضَى الرِّجَالُ الْخَمْسَةُ حَتَّى وَصَلُوا إِلَى لاَيِشَ، فَوَجَدُوا أَهْلَهَا الْصَّيْدُونِيِّينَ مُقِيمِينَ فِيهَا مُطْمَئِنِّينَ كَعَادَةِ الصَّيْدُونِيِّينَ، آمِنِينَ، لاَ يُؤْذِيهِمْ أَحَدٌ فِي أَرْضِهِمْ، أَثْرِيَاءَ وَيَتَمَتَّعُونَ بِالاكْتِفَاءِ الذَّاتِيِّ، وَكَانُوا بَعِيدِينَ عَنِ الصَّيْدُونِيِّينَ، وَلَمْ يَعْقِدُوا أَحْلاَفاً مَعَ أَحَدٍ. |
তাৰ পাছত সেই পাঁচজন লোকে প্রস্থান কৰি লয়িচ পাই দেখিলে যে, তাত থকা লোকসকল চীজোনীয়া লোকসকলৰ নিচিনাকৈ শান্তভাৱে আৰু নিশ্চিন্ত হৈ নিৰ্ভয়ে বাস কৰি আছে; কিয়নো সেই দেশত তেওঁলোকক কোনো কথাত হানি কৰিব পৰা ক্ষমতা থকা কোনো মানুহ নাছিল আৰু চীদোনীয়াহঁতৰ পৰা সিহঁত দূৰত আছিল আৰু আন কাৰো লগত সিহঁতে সম্পৰ্ক নাৰাখিছিল।
Bu beş igid gedib Layişə çatdı və gördü ki, orada yaşayan xalq qayğısızdır. Sidonlular kimi dinc və rahat yaşayırlar. Bu bölgədə onlara hökm edib əziyyət verən heç kim yox idi. Onlar Sidonlulardan uzaqda olub başqa heç kəslə əlaqələri yox idi.

অতএব সেই পাঁচজন লোক সেই স্থানটি ত্যাগ করে লয়িশে এল। সেখানে তারা দেখল যে লোকজন সীদোনীয়দের মতো নিরাপদে, শান্তিতে ও নিশ্চিন্ত-নির্ভয়ভাবে জীবনযাপন করছে। আর যেহেতু তাদের দেশে কোনো কিছুরই অভাব ছিল না, তাই তারা সমৃদ্ধিশালীও হল। এছাড়াও, তারা সীদোনীয়দের কাছ থেকে বহুদূরে বসবাস করত এবং অন্য কারোর সঙ্গে তাদের কোনও সম্পর্ক ছিল না।

The five men left and went to the town of Laish. They observed that the people there lived in safety, and followed the customs of the Sidonians. The people were unsuspecting and confident of their security, at home in a productive land. They didn't have a strong ruler, they lived a long way from the Sidonians, and had no other allies to help them.

[The next day] the five men left. When they came to Laish [city], they saw that the people there lived safely, like the people in Sidon [city] did. The people there thought that they were safe/protected [from any enemies], and they had plenty of [good fertile] land. They lived very far from the people of Sidon, [so the people of Sidon would not be able to help defend/protect them]. They had no other (allies/groups nearby that would help them in battles).

There was no one who conquered them or who oppressed them in any way in the land. They lived far away from the Sidonians and had no dealings with anyone.

Orang-orang itu tidak kekurangan apapun yang ada di muka bumi, malah kaya harta. Mereka tinggal jauh dari orang Sidon dan tidak bergaul dengan siapapun juga.
Kemudian regu itu melanjutkan perjalanan dan sampai di kota Lais. Poszło więc tych pięciu mężczyzn i przybyli do Lajisz. I zobaczyli, że lud, który w nim był, mieszkał beztrosko, według zwyczaju Sydończyków, spokojnie i bezpiecznie, i że nie było władcy, który by ich trapił w tej ziemi. Ponadto byli daleko od Sydończyków i nie mieli z nikim [żadnych] interesów.
