The children of Israel again did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

পাছত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলে যিহোৱাৰ সাক্ষাতে পুনৰাই কু-আচৰণ কৰিব ধৰিলে; তাতে যিহোৱাই চল্লিশ বছৰলৈকে তেওঁলোকক পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ হাতত শোধাই দিলে।

इस्राएलियों ने फिर यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा किया; इसलिए यहोवा ने उनको पलिश्तियों के वश में चालीस वर्ष के लिये रखा।
एक बार फिर इस्राएल वंशजों ने वह किया, जो याहवेह की नज़रों में गलत था. इस कारण याहवेह ने चालीस सालों के लिए उन्हें फिलिस्तीनियों के वश में कर दिया.

Bangsa Israel kembali berbuat jahat di mata TUHAN. Maka TUHAN menyerahkan mereka kepada bangsa Filistin, sehingga Filistin menindas mereka selama empat puluh tahun.
