Joshua 2:14
The men said to her, “Our life for yours, if you do not talk about this business of ours; and it shall be, when the LORD gives us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.”

| فَقَالَ لَهَا ٱلرَّجُلَانِ: «نَفْسُنَا عِوَضُكُمْ لِلْمَوْتِ إِنْ لَمْ تُفْشُوا أَمْرَنَا هَذَا. وَيَكُونُ إِذَا أَعْطَانَا ٱلرَّبُّ ٱلْأَرْضَ أَنَّنَا نَعْمَلُ مَعَكِ مَعْرُوفًا وَأَمَانَةً». |
| فَأَجَابَهَا الرَّجُلاَنِ: «لِتَكُنْ أَنْفُسُنَا فِدَاءَ أَنْفُسِكُمْ، شَرْطَ أَلاَّ تُفْشُوا أَمْرَنَا هَذَا، وَإِذَا وَهَبَنَا الرَّبُّ الأَرْضَ فَإِنَّنَا نَصْنَعُ مَعَكِ مَعْرُوفاً بِكُلِّ أَمَانَةٍ». |
তেতিয়া সেই মানুহ কেইজনে তাইক ক’লে, “যদি তোমালোকে আমাৰ এই কাৰ্যৰ কথা প্ৰকাশ নকৰা, তেন্তে তোমালোকৰ প্ৰাণৰ সলনি আমাৰ প্ৰাণ যাব; আৰু যেতিয়া যিহোৱাই আমাক এই দেশ দিব, তেতিয়া আমি তোমালৈ দয়া আৰু সত্য ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিম।”

সেই দুই জন তাঁকে বলল, “তুমি যদি আমাদের এই কাজ প্রকাশ না কর, তবে তোমাদের পরিবর্ত্তে আমাদের প্রাণ যাক; যে দিনের সদাপ্রভু আমাদের এই দেশ দেবেন, আমরা তোমার প্রতি দয়াময় ও বিশ্বস্ত হব।”
সেই গুপ্তচরেরা তাকে আশ্বাস দিল, “তোমাদের প্রাণের পরিবর্তে আমাদের প্রাণ যাক। আমরা যা করতে চলেছি, তা যদি তুমি কাউকে না বলো, তবে সদাপ্রভু যখন এই দেশ আমাদের দেবেন, তখন আমরা তোমাদের সঙ্গে বিশ্বস্ততাপূর্বক সদয় ব্যবহার করব।”

二人对她说：“你若不泄漏我们这件事，我们情愿替你们死。耶和华将这地赐给我们的时候，我们必以慈爱诚实待你。”

Da sagde Mændene til hende: "Vi indestår med vort Liv for eder, hvis du ikke røber vort Forehavende; og når HERREN giver os Landet, vil vi vise dig Godhed og Trofasthed!"
Og Mændene sagde til hende: Vore Sjæle skulle være i Stedet for eders til at dø, naar I kun ikke kundgør denne vor Handel; og det skal ske, naar Herren giver os Landet, da ville vi vise Miskundhed og Troskab imod dig.

Toen spraken die mannen tot haar: Onze ziel zij voor ulieden om te sterven, indien gijlieden deze onze zaak niet te kennen geeft; het zal dan geschieden, wanneer de HEERE ons dit land geeft, zo zullen wij aan u weldadigheid en trouw bewijzen.
De mannen antwoordden haar: Wij staan met ons leven voor u in. Als gij onze plannen niet aanbrengt, dan zullen wij, wanneer Jahweh ons het land heeft overgeleverd, ons zeker over u ontfermen.

“Our lives for your lives!” the men agreed. “If you do not report our mission, we will show you kindness and faithfulness when the LORD gives us the land.”

They responded to her: “May our lives be yours unto death, if only you do not betray us. And when the Lord will have delivered the land to us, we will act toward you with mercy and truth.”

They answered her: Be our lives for you unto death, only if thou betray us not. And when the Lord shall have delivered us the land, we will shew thee mercy and truth.
“Our lives for yours!” the men told her. “If you don't tell anyone about this, we will treat you honestly and faithfully when the Lord gives us the land.”
And the men answered her, Our life for you to die, if ye vtter not this our businesse: and when the Lord hath giuen vs the lande, we will deale mercifully and truely with thee.

The two men replied, “We desire that God will cause us to die if we do not do as we say! If you do not tell others what we [are planning to] do, we will act kindly toward you all when Yahweh enables us to possess the land.”

Ces hommes lui répondirent: « Que nous mourrions pour vous, si vous ne divulguez pas notre affaire! Et quand Yahweh nous donnera ce pays, nous agirons envers toi avec bonté et fidélité. »
Les hommes lui dirent: « Notre vie est à toi, si tu ne parles pas de cette affaire qui nous concerne; et quand l'Éternel nous donnera le pays, nous te traiterons avec bienveillance et loyauté. »
Et les hommes lui dirent: Nos vies paieront pour vous, si vous ne divulguez pas notre affaire, et il arrivera que, lorsque l’Éternel nous aura donné le pays, nous userons de bonté et de vérité envers toi.
Et ces hommes lui répondirent: Nos personnes répondront pour vous jusques à la mort, pourvu que vous ne nous déceliez point en cette affaire; et quand l'Eternel nous aura donné le pays nous userons envers toi de gratuité et de vérité.
Et ils lui répondirent: Que notre âme soit pour vous jusqu’à la mort, si toutefois tu ne nous trahis point; et lorsque le Seigneur nous aura livré cette terre, nous accomplirons envers toi la miséricorde et la fidélité.
Ces hommes lui répondirent: Nous sommes prêts à mourir pour vous, si vous ne divulguez pas ce qui nous concerne; et quand l’Éternel nous donnera le pays, nous agirons envers toi avec bonté et fidélité.

Et les hommes répondirent: Notre vie pour ta vie, dussions-nous périr. Aussitôt elle reprit: Lorsque le Seigneur vous aura livré cette ville, vous me ferez justice et miséricorde.
Les hommes lui répondirent: "Notre vie répondra de la vôtre, si vous ne divulguez pas notre entretien; alors, quand l’Eternel nous aura livré ce pays, nous agirons à ton égard avec bienveillance et loyauté."

Da erwiderten ihr die Männer: Unser Leben wollen wir für das eurige einsetzen, wenn ihr uns in unserer jetzigen Lage nicht verratet; wenn uns dann Jahwe dieses Land zu teil werden läßt, so wollen wir dir Gutes erweisen und Treue halten.
Die Männer sprachen zu ihr: tun wir nicht Barmherzigkeit und Treue an dir, wenn uns der HERR das Land gibt, so soll unsere Seele für euch des Todes sein, sofern du unser Geschäft nicht verrätest.

Die Männer sprachen zu ihr: Unsere Seele soll an eurer Statt des Todes sein, sofern ihr diese unsere Sache nicht verratet! Und wenn der HERR uns dieses Land gibt, so wollen wir an dir Barmherzigkeit und Treue beweisen!

Και απεκρίθησαν προς αυτήν οι άνδρες, Η ζωή ημών εις θάνατον ας παραδοθή αντί της ιδικής σας, αν μόνον δεν φανερώσητε ταύτην την υπόθεσιν ημών, εάν ημείς, όταν ο Κύριος παραδώση εις ημάς την γην, δεν δείξωμεν έλεος και πίστιν εις σε.
καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῇ οἱ ἄνδρες ἡ ψυχὴ ἡμῶν ἀνθ’ ὑμῶν εἰς θάνατον καὶ αὐτὴ εἶπεν ὡς ἂν παραδῷ κύριος ὑμῖν τὴν πόλιν ποιήσετε εἰς ἐμὲ ἔλεος καὶ ἀλήθειαν
તે માણસોએ તેને કહ્યું, “જો તમે અમારા વિષે કોઈને કશું નહિ કહી દો તો તમારા બદલે અમારા જીવ જાઓ. અને જયારે યહોવાહ અમને આ દેશ આપશે ત્યારે અમે તમારા પ્રત્યે દયાળુ અને વિશ્વાસુ રહીશું.”

| ויאמרו לה האנשים נפשנו תחתיכם למות אם לא תגידו את דברנו זה והיה בתת יהוה לנו את הארץ ועשינו עמך חסד ואמת |
