God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. God relented of the disaster which he said he would do to them, and he did not do it.

| فَلَمَّا رَأَى ٱللهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ رَجَعُوا عَنْ طَرِيقِهِمِ ٱلرَّدِيئَةِ، نَدِمَ ٱللهُ عَلَى ٱلشَّرِّ ٱلَّذِي تَكَلَّمَ أَنْ يَصْنَعَهُ بِهِمْ، فَلَمْ يَصْنَعْهُ. |
| فَلَمَّا رَأَى اللهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَتَوْبَتَهُمْ عَنْ طُرُقِهِمِ الآثِمَةِ عَدَلَ عَنِ الْعِقَابِ الَّذِي كَانَ مُزْمِعاً أَنْ يُوْقِعَهُ بِهِمْ وَعَفَا عَنْهُمْ. |
পাছত তেওঁলোকে যি কৰিলে আৰু কেনেকৈ তেওঁলোকে নিজ নিজ মন্দ পথৰ পৰা ঘূৰিলে, সেই বিষয়ে যেতিয়া ঈশ্বৰে দেখিলে, তেতিয়া তেওঁ নিজৰ মন ঘূৰালে। তাতে তেওঁ যি শাস্তি দিব বুলি মনস্থ কৰিছিল, তাক তেওঁ নকৰিলে।

তখন ঈশ্বর তাদের কাজ, তারা যে নিজের নিজের কুপথ থেকে ফিরল, তা দেখলেন, আর তাদের যে অমঙ্গল করবেন বলেছিলেন, সেই বিষয়ে অনুশোচনা করলেন; তা করলেন না।

И като видя Бог делата им, как те се обърнаха от лошия си път, Бог се разкая за злото, което бе рекъл да им направи, и го не направи.

于是 神察看他们的行为，见他们离开恶道，他就后悔，不把所说的灾祸降与他们了。

તેઓએ જે કર્યું, એટલે કે પોતાનાં ખરાબ કામો તજી દીધાં તે ઈશ્વરે જોયું. તેથી ઈશ્વરે તેઓ પર જે વિપત્તિ લાવવાનું કહેલું હતું, તેવું કર્યું નહિ. અને તે તેઓ પર સંકટ લાવ્યા નહિ.

जब परमेश्वर ने उनके कामों को देखा, कि वे कुमार्ग से फिर रहे हैं, तब परमेश्वर ने अपनी इच्छा बदल दी, और उनकी जो हानि करने की ठानी थी, उसको न किया।
जब परमेश्वर ने उनके काम को देखा कि कैसे वे अपने बुरे कार्यों से फिर गये हैं, तो उन्होंने अपनी इच्छा बदल दी और उनके ऊपर वह विनाश नहीं लाया जिसका निर्णय उन्होंने लिया था.

Allah melihat perbuatan mereka; Ia melihat bahwa mereka telah meninggalkan kelakuan mereka yang jahat. Maka Ia mengubah keputusan-Nya, dan tidak jadi menghukum mereka.
Ketika Allah melihat perbuatan mereka itu, yakni bagaimana mereka berbalik dari tingkah lakunya yang jahat, maka menyesallah Allah karena malapetaka yang telah dirancangkan-Nya terhadap mereka, dan Iapun tidak jadi melakukannya.
Ketika Allah melihat penduduk Niniwe sungguh-sungguh menyesal dan tidak melakukan perbuatan jahat lagi, maka Allah berhenti marah kepada kota Niniwe dan membatalkan keputusan-Nya untuk membinasakan mereka.

神かれらの爲すところをかんがみ其あしき途を離るるを見そなはし彼等になさんと言し所の災禍を悔て之をなしたまはざりき

ജനത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളിലൂടെ അവരുടെ ദുഷിച്ച ജീവിതശൈലി ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചെന്ന് ദൈവം കണ്ടറിഞ്ഞു. അതുകൊണ്ട് അവരുടെമേൽ വരുത്തും എന്ന് അറിയിച്ചിരുന്ന നാശത്തിൽനിന്ന് ദൈവം പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു. അത് അവരുടെമേൽ വരുത്തിയതുമില്ല.
