Then all his brothers, all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, came to him and ate bread with him in his house. They comforted him, and consoled him concerning all the evil that the LORD had brought on him. Everyone also gave him a piece of money, and everyone a ring of gold.

तब उसके सब भाई, और सब बहनें, और जितने पहले उसको जानते-पहचानते थे, उन सभी ने आकर उसके यहाँ उसके संग भोजन किया; और जितनी विपत्ति यहोवा ने उस पर डाली थी, उन सब के विषय उन्होंने विलाप किया, और उसे शान्ति दी; और उसे एक-एक चाँदी का सिक्का और सोने की एक-एक बाली दी।
कालांतर उनके समस्त भाई बहनों तथा पूर्व परिचितों ने उनके घर पर आकर भोज में उनके साथ संगति की. उन्होंने उन पर याहवेह द्वारा समस्त विपत्तियों के संबंध में सहानुभूति एवं सांत्वना दी. उनमें से हर एक ने अय्योब को धनराशि एवं सोने के सिक्के भेंट में दिये.

Kemudian datanglah kepadanya semua saudaranya laki-laki dan perempuan dan semua kenalannya yang lama, dan makan bersama-sama dengan dia di rumahnya. Mereka menyatakan turut berdukacita dan menghibur dia oleh karena segala malapetaka yang telah ditimpakan TUHAN kepadanya, dan mereka masing-masing memberi dia uang satu kesita dan sebuah cincin emas.

ಆಗ ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಕ್ಕತಂಗಿಯರೂ, ಮೊದಲು ಅವನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭೋಜನಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪರಿಚಿತರೂ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಆಪತ್ತಿನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಅನುತಾಪವನ್ನು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸಿದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದೊಂದು ವರಹವನ್ನೂ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಚಿನ್ನದ ಉಂಗುರವನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
