“For the children of Judah have done that which is evil in my sight,” says the LORD. “They have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

“यहोवा की यह वाणी है, इसका कारण यह है कि यहूदियों ने वह काम किया है, जो मेरी दृष्टि में बुरा है; उन्होंने उस भवन में जो मेरा कहलाता है, अपनी घृणित वस्तुएँ रखकर उसे अशुद्ध कर दिया है।

Orang Yehuda telah melakukan kejahatan. Berhala-berhala mereka yang Kubenci itu telah mereka tempatkan di dalam Rumah-Ku, sehingga menajiskannya.
Sungguh, orang Yehuda telah melakukan apa yang jahat di mata-Ku, demikianlah firman TUHAN, telah menempatkan dewa-dewa mereka yang menjijikkan di rumah yang atasnya nama-Ku diserukan ini untuk menajiskannya.
