Jeremiah 6:17
I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We will not listen!’

Therefore will I raise up over you, watchmen, Give ye heed to the sound of a horn, —But they said, We will not give heed!
And I raised up over you watchmen pay attention to [the] sound of a trumpet and they said not we will pay attention.

I sent [my prophets who were like] [MET] watchmen. They said, ‘Listen carefully when we blow the trumpets [to warn you that your enemies are approaching],’ but you said, ‘[No], we do not want to listen.’

मैंने तुम्हारे लिये पहरुए बैठाकर कहा, ‘नरसिंगे का शब्द ध्यान से सुनना!’ पर उन्होंने कहा, ‘हम न सुनेंगे।’
तब मैंने इस विचार से तुम पर प्रहरी नियुक्त किए, ‘नरसिंगा नाद सुनो!’ किंतु उन्होंने हठ किया, ‘हम नहीं सुनेंगे.’
