“Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod. Kill and utterly destroy after them,” says the LORD, “and do according to all that I have commanded you.

“तू मरातैम देश और पकोद नगर के निवासियों पर चढ़ाई कर। मनुष्यों को तो मार डाल, और धन का सत्यानाश कर; यहोवा की यह वाणी है, और जो-जो आज्ञा मैं तुझे देता हूँ, उन सभी के अनुसार कर।
“जाकर मेराथाइम देश पर आक्रमण करो, जाकर पेकोदवासियों पर भी आक्रमण करो. उन्हें घात करो तथा उन्हें पूर्णतः नष्ट कर दो,” यह याहवेह का आदेश है. “वही सब करो, जिसका मैंने तुम्हें आदेश दिया है.
