Jeremiah 44:17
But we will certainly perform every word that has gone out of our mouth, to burn incense to the queen of the sky and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food, and were well, and saw no evil.

| بَلْ نَعْمَلَ بِمُقْتَضَى مَا تَعَهَّدْنَا بِهِ، فَنُحْرِقُ بَخُوراً لِمَلِكَةِ السَّمَاءِ وَنُقَرِّبُ لَهَا السَّكَائِبَ كَمَا سَبَقَ أَنْ فَعَلْنَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا وَمُلُوكُنَا وَرُؤَسَاؤُنَا فِي مُدُنِ يَهُوذَا وَفِي شَوَارِعِ أُورُشَلِيمَ، فَكَانَتْ لَنَا وَفْرَةٌ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ وَتَمَتَّعْنَا بِالْخَيْرِ وَلَمْ يُصِبْنَا شَرٌّ. |

我们定要成就我们口中所出的一切话，向天后烧香、浇奠祭，按着我们与我们列祖、君王、首领在犹大的城邑中和耶路撒冷的街市上素常所行的一样；因为那时我们吃饱饭、享福乐，并不见灾祸。

ಗಗನದ ಒಡತಿಗೆ ಧೂಪಹಾಕಿ ಪಾನನೈವೇದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ಬಾಯಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವೆವು. ಮೊದಲು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೂ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಅರಸರೂ, ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಧಾನರೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ನಾವು ಯಾವ ಕೇಡನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆತುಂಬಾ ಉಂಡು ಸುಖಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವು.

ആകാശരാജ്ഞിക്കു ധൂപംകാട്ടുന്നതിനും അവൾക്കു പാനീയബലി അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും വേണ്ടി ഞങ്ങൾ സ്വന്തം വായാൽ നേർന്നിട്ടുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങൾ നിശ്ചയമായും നിറവേറ്റും. ഞങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും ഞങ്ങളുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങളിലും ജെറുശലേമിന്റെ തെരുവീഥികളിലും ചെയ്തുപോന്നിട്ടുള്ള വിധത്തിൽ തന്നെ. അന്നു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടുവോളം ആഹാരമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ ക്ഷേമമായി ജീവിച്ചു. ഒരാപത്തും ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ഭവിച്ചതുമില്ല.
