Jeremiah 42:10
‘If you will still live in this land, then I will build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up; for I grieve over the distress that I have brought on you.

| إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَسْكُنُونَ فِي هَذِهِ ٱلْأَرْضِ، فَإِنِّي أَبْنِيكُمْ وَلَا أَنْقُضُكُمْ، وَأَغْرِسُكُمْ وَلَا أَقْتَلِعُكُمْ. لِأَنِّي نَدِمْتُ عَنِ ٱلشَّرِّ ٱلَّذِي صَنَعْتُهُ بِكُمْ. |
| إِنْ أَقَمْتُمْ فِي هَذِهِ الأَرْضِ فَإِنِّي أَبْنِيكُمْ وَلاَ أَهْدِمُكُمْ، وَأَغْرِسُكُمْ وَلاَ أَسْتَأْصِلُكُمْ، لأَنِّي أَسِفْتُ عَلَى الشَّرِّ الَّذِي أَلْحَقْتُهُ بِكُمْ. |
‘তোমালোকে যদি এতিয়াও এই দেশত বাস কৰা, তেন্তে মই তোমালোকক পাতিম, নাভাঙিম, তোমালোকক ৰুম, নুঘালিম; কিয়নো তোমালোকৰ যি অমঙ্গল কৰিছোঁ, সেই বিষয়ে মই ক্ষান্ত হ’লো।
“Əgər bu ölkədə qalsanız, Mən sizi dirçəldərəm, daha dağıtmaram, sizi əkərəm, daha çıxarmaram. Çünki başınıza gətirdiyim bütün bəlalara görə təəssüflənirəm.

‘যদি তোমরা ফিরে আসো এবং এই দেশে বাস কর, তাহলে আমি তোমাদের গড়ে তুলব, তোমাদের ভাঙ্গবো না, আমি তোমাদের রোপণ করব, তোমাদের উপড়ে ফেলব না; কারণ আমি তোমাদের উপরে যে বিপদ এনেছি, সেখান থেকে ফিরে আসবো।
‘তোমরা যদি এই দেশে থেকে যাও, আমি তোমাদের গড়ে তুলব, ভেঙে ফেলব না; আমি তোমাদের রোপণ করব, উৎপাটন করব না, কারণ আমি তোমাদের উপরে যে বিপর্যয় এনেছিলাম, তার জন্য আমি দুঃখ পেয়েছি।

‘你们若仍住在这地，我就建立你们，必不拆毁，栽植你们，并不拔出，因我为降与你们的灾祸后悔了。

Indien gijlieden in dit land zult blijven wonen, zo zal Ik u bouwen en niet afbreken, en u planten en niet uitrukken; want Ik heb berouw over het kwaad, dat Ik u aangedaan heb.
Als ge rustig in dit land blijft wonen, dan bouw Ik u op, en breek u niet af, dan plant Ik u neer, en ruk u niet uit, want Ik heb spijt van het onheil, dat Ik u heb berokkend.
Indien gijlieden in dit land zult blijven wonen, zo zal Ik u bouwen en niet afbreken, en u planten en niet uitrukken; want Ik heb berouw over het kwaad, dat Ik u aangedaan heb.

‘Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ mũngĩikara gũkũ bũrũri ũyũ, nĩngatũma mũikare mũgaacĩire, na ndigacooka kũmũhurunja; nĩngamũhaanda na ndigacooka kũmũmunya, tondũ nĩndĩraigua kĩeha nĩ ũndũ wa mwanangĩko ũrĩa ndĩmũreheire.
Εάν εξακολουθήτε να κατοικήτε εν τη γη ταύτη, τότε θέλω σας οικοδομήσει και δεν θέλω σας κατακρημνίσει, και θέλω σας φυτεύσει και δεν θέλω σας εκριζώσει, διότι μετενόησα διά το κακόν το οποίον έκαμα εις εσάς.

यदि तुम इसी देश में रह जाओ, तब तो मैं तुम को नाश नहीं करूँगा वरन् बनाए रखूँगा; और तुम्हें न उखाड़ूँगा, वरन् रोपे रखूँगा; क्योंकि तुम्हारी जो हानि मैंने की है उससे मैं पछताता हूँ।
‘यदि तुम वास्तव में इस देश में निवास करते रहो, तब मैं तुम्हें समृद्धि प्रदान करूंगा, तुम्हें नष्ट न करूंगा; मैं तुम्हें यहां रोपित करूंगा, अलग नहीं; क्योंकि मैं तुम पर प्रभावी की गई विपत्तियों के विषय में पछताऊंगा.
