उस समय फ़िरौन की सेना चढ़ाई के लिये मिस्र से निकली; तब कसदी जो यरूशलेम को घेरे हुए थे, उसका समाचार सुनकर यरूशलेम के पास से चले गए।
इसी समय मिस्र से फ़रोह की सेना प्रस्थित हो चुकी थी, जैसे ही कसदी सेना जो येरूशलेम की घेराबंदी किए हुए थी, उसे यह समाचार प्राप्त हुआ, उसने येरूशलेम से अपनी घेराबंदी उठा ली.
