then Zedekiah the king sent and had him brought out. The king asked him secretly in his house, “Is there any word from the LORD?” Jeremiah said, “There is.” He also said, “You will be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.”

| ثُمَّ اسْتَدْعَاهُ الْمَلِكُ صِدْقِيَّا، وَسَأَلَهُ فِي قَصْرِهِ سِرّاً: «هَلْ عِنْدَكَ كَلِمَةُ وَحْيٍ مِنْ عِنْدِ الرَّبِّ؟» فَأَجَابَهُ إِرْمِيَا: «نَعَمْ». ثُمَّ أَضَافَ: «إِنَّكَ سَتُسَلَّمُ إِلَى يَدِ مَلِكِ بَابِلَ». |

Tedy posławszy król Sedekijasz, wziął go, i pytał go król w domu swoim potajemnie, mówiąc: Jestże jakie słowo od Pana? I odpowiedział Jeremijasz: Jest; przytem rzekł: W rękę króla Babilońskiego podany będziesz.
