Jeremiah 22:15
“Should you reign because you strive to excel in cedar? Did not your father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.

| أَتَظُنُّ أَنَّكَ صِرْتَ مَلِكاً لأَنَّكَ بَنَيْتَ بَيْتَكَ مِنَ الأَرْزِ؟ أَمَا أَكَلَ أَبُوكَ وَشَرِبَ وَأَجْرَى عَدْلاً وَحَقّاً، فَتَمَتَّعَ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ؟ |
এৰচ কাঠৰ কথাত জিকিবলৈ চেষ্টা কৰাৰ কাৰণে জানো তুমি ৰাজত্ব কৰি থাকিবা? তোমাৰ পিতৃয়ে জানো ভোজন-পান কৰা আৰু বিচাৰ ও ন্যায় সিদ্ধ কৰা নাছিল? তাতে তেওঁৰ মঙ্গল হৈছিল।

এটাই কি তোমাকে একজন ভালো রাজা বানায়, যে তুমি এরস গাছের তক্তা চেয়েছ? তোমার বাবাও কি ভোজন পান করত না, তবুও সুবিচার করত ও ন্যায়পরায়ন কি ছিলনা? তাই তার মঙ্গল হল।
“কিন্তু সুন্দর সিডার-কাঠের প্রাসাদ থাকলেই কেউ মহান রাজা হয় না! তোমার বাবা কি যথেষ্ট ভোজনপান করত না? যা যথার্থ ও ন্যায়সংগত, সে তাই করত, তাই তার পক্ষে সবকিছু ভালোই হয়েছিল।

难道你作王是在乎造香柏木楼房争胜吗？ 你的父亲岂不是也吃也喝、 也施行公平和公义吗？ 那时他得了福乐。

Zijt ge koning geworden, Om met ceders te pronken? Zeker, ook uw vader heeft gegeten en gedronken, Maar hij deed er recht en gerechtigheid bij:
Zoudt gij regeren, omdat gij u mengt met den ceder? Heeft niet uw vader gegeten en gedronken, en recht en gerechtigheid gedaan, en het ging hem toen wel?

But it is certainly not [RHQ] having a beautiful cedar palace that causes a king to be great! Jehoiakim’s father, Josiah, also had [RHQ] plenty of things to eat and drink. But Josiah always did things that are right and just, and that is why God blessed him.
Is this what makes you a good king, that you wanted to have boards of cedar? Did not your father also eat and drink, yet do justice and righteousness? Then things went well for him.

તું દેવદાર વૃક્ષના મહેલો બાંધીને સિદ્ધિ મેળવવા ઇચ્છે છે એથી શું તારું રાજ્ય ટકશે? શું તારા પિતાએ ખાધુંપીધું નહોતું અને નીતિ તથા તે ન્યાયથી વ્યવહાર કરતો નહોતો? તેથી જ તે સુખી થયો.

E noho aupuni anei oe no kou hoopuni ana ia oe i ke kedera? Aole anei i ai, a inu kou makuakane, a hana i ka hooponopono, a me ka pololei, alaila, ua pomaikai oia?

तू जो देवदार की लकड़ी का अभिलाषी है, क्या इस रीति से तेरा राज्य स्थिर रहेगा। देख, तेरा पिता न्याय और धार्मिकता के काम करता था, और वह खाता पीता और सुख से भी रहता था!
“क्या अपने भवन में देवदार का प्रचूर प्रयोग करने के कारण तुम राजा के पद पर पहुंच गए हो? क्या तुम्हारा पिता सर्वसंपन्न न था? फिर भी उसने वही किया जो सही और न्यायपूर्ण था, इसलिये उसका कल्याण होता रहा.

Dengarlah, hai Raja Yoyakim! Jika engkau membangun istana dengan kayu cemara Libanon yang paling bagus, apakah itu buktinya bahwa engkau raja yang lebih baik dari raja-raja lain? Coba ingat akan ayahmu: Ia menikmati hidup yang bahagia dan berhasil dalam segala usahanya, karena ia selalu lurus dan jujur serta mengadili perkara orang miskin dengan adil. Memang begitulah seharusnya tindakan orang yang mengenal TUHAN.
Sangkamu rajakah engkau, jika engkau bertanding dalam hal pemakaian kayu aras? Tidakkah ayahmu makan minum juga dan beroleh kenikmatan? Tetapi ia melakukan keadilan dan kebenaran,
Regnerai tu perchè cerchi d'eccellere co' cedri? non mangiò, e non bevve tuo padre, facendo ciò ch'è diritto, e giusto? [ed] allora bene gli [avvenne].
Forse tu agisci da re perché ostenti passione per il cedro? Forse tuo padre non mangiava e beveva? Ma egli praticava il diritto e la giustizia e tutto andava bene.
Regni tu forse perché hai la passione del cedro? Tuo padre non mangiava egli e non beveva? Ma faceva ciò ch’è retto e giusto, e tutto gli andava bene.
汝香柏を爭ひもちふるによりて王たるを得るか汝の父は食飮せざりしや公義と公道を行ひて福を得ざりしや
あなたは競って香柏を用いることによって、王であると思うのか。あなたの父は食い飲みし、公平と正義を行って、幸を得たのではないか。
