“For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the spring of living waters, and cut out cisterns for themselves: broken cisterns that cannot hold water.

কারণ আমার প্রজারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে দুটি পাপ করেছে: জীবন্ত জলের উনুই যে আমি, সেই আমাকেই তারা ত্যাগ করেছে, আর নিজেদের জন্য কুয়ো খুঁড়েছে, ভাঙ্গা কুয়ো, যা জল ধরে রাখতে পারে না।
“কারণ আমার প্রজারা দুটি পাপ করেছে: আমি যে জীবন্ত জলের উৎস, সেই আমাকে তারা পরিত্যাগ করেছে, আর নিজেদের জন্য খনন করেছে ভাঙা জলাধার, যা জল ধরে রাখতে পারে না!

因为我的百姓做了两件恶事, 就是离弃我这活水的泉源, 为自己凿出池子, 是破裂不能存水的池子。

કેમ કે મારા લોકોએ મારી વિરુદ્ધ બે દુષ્ટ પાપ કર્યાં છે; તેઓએ મને એટલે જે જીવનજળનું ઝરણું છે તેનો ત્યાગ કર્યો છે, અને જેમાં જળ રહી શકતું નથી એવા ટાંકાં તેઓએ પોતાને માટે ખોદ્યા છે!

כִּֽי־שְׁתַּיִם רָעוֹת עָשָׂה עַמִּי אֹתִי עָזְבוּ מְקוֹר ׀ מַיִם חַיִּים לַחְצֹב לָהֶם בֹּארוֹת בֹּארֹת נִשְׁבָּרִים אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָכִלוּ הַמָּֽיִם׃
כִּֽי־שְׁתַּ֥יִם רָע֖וֹת עָשָׂ֣ה עַמִּ֑י אֹתִ֨י עָזְב֜וּ מְק֣וֹר ׀ מַ֣יִם חַיִּ֗ים לַחְצֹ֤ב לָהֶם֙ בֹּאר֔וֹת בֹּארֹת֙ נִשְׁבָּרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־יָכִ֖לוּ הַמָּֽיִם׃
क्योंकि मेरी प्रजा ने दो बुराइयाँ की हैं: उन्होंने मुझ जीवन के जल के सोते को त्याग दिया है, और, उन्होंने हौद बना लिए, वरन् ऐसे हौद जो टूट गए हैं, और जिनमें जल नहीं रह सकता।

Umat-Ku melakukan dua macam dosa: mereka membelakangi Aku, sumber air pemberi hidup bagi manusia; mereka membuat bagi dirinya kolam bocor yang tak dapat menahan airnya."
Sebab dua kali umat-Ku berbuat jahat: mereka meninggalkan Aku, sumber air yang hidup, untuk menggali kolam bagi mereka sendiri, yakni kolam yang bocor, yang tidak dapat menahan air.

蓋わが民はふたつの惡事をなせり即ち活る水の源なる我をすて自己水溜を掘れりすなはち壞れたる水溜にして水を有たざる者なり
「それは、わたしの民が二つの悪しき事を行ったからである。すなわち生ける水の源であるわたしを捨てて、自分で水ためを掘った。それは、こわれた水ためで、水を入れておくことのできないものだ。
